My animations are different when I save them, compared to how the look in the editor.
I am making a light saber effect (Using a 4 point garbage color matte and some blurring) and it looks fantastic! but then after I save it (using Windows Media player, but I have tried some other programs to save it in and it still breaks) and watch it the animation will be shaking around and in the wrong place. Any ideas?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What are the properties of your source media?
What are you (manually) or the project (automatically) setting as the project preset to match the properties of the source media?
You say the project looked great in the Edit area. Was that great based on the play back in Edit area of the unrendered or rendered Timeline
content?
What are your specific export settings

then what, what are you selecting for Presets, are you using the defaults for the preset selected or customizing the preset under its
Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
What do you mean by save in Windows Media Player....do you mean play the Premiere Elements export in the Windows Media Player or
something else?
In the absence of more details, I suspect your project settings. And, not sure about your player information.

My videos from my iphone are horrible when I transfer them to my PC. How can I improve the video on my PC? Can I just convert the files to WMV? When the video plays the speed is off, it's half slow-motion and staggers into normal play. The clips are slightly cut as well, the clips do not roll continuously. I'm taling about videos that are no more than 2 minutes long. I'm frustrated and I could really use some advice-my kids basketball games is what I'm recording and I'm trying to send them to my family (they are not very tech savvy). Thanks
Not it's only function but one for which it was most admirably suited, which is why I really hope someone can find a work around. I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. I did not miss the the text at the top of the feedback form but you presumably missed my initial text, 'someone here can explain' or my subsequent 'work around from another user'
Just in case anyone reading this has a large collection of music videos, video podcasts or iTunes U then DO NOT upgrade your iPad to iOS 5. If you are considering purchasing the iPad as a useful mobile device to experience these media organised in your iTunes please don't as you will be wasting your money. (unless someone on this forum knows of a way to undo the mess created by those infallible folks at Apple)

My zagg key board connects but the keys I type either don't type character, type 2 characters that are different when I hit only 1 key, or doesn't type at all. Is there a way to reset zagg keyboard to factory settings?
Recharging is a good thing to try. They do start to act odd when the battery gets low. Beyond that, just like Tom says, contact Zagg. I have one of their keyboards and the company has wonderful customer service.

I've been given some .mov files to use on FCP.
When I play them I can hear the audio but the pictures are green. The client says they play for him.
I am on mac 10.5.8 and FCP 6.0.6.
The files details are the same as a file that will play.

I've been told this happened to somebody else last week, but didn't get a resaon why.
Any clues as to why this is happening? I suspect it's a codec issue of some sort

But all the adjustments that you apply in Lightroom, if you do not export to a rasterized format, will be inaccessible. You'll still have your catalog file, for if you want to re-inlist in the future, but it won't do anything for you without Lightroom. The same thing will go for Photoshop files like PSD, but obviously if you save to standard image formats you'll be fine.
It's one of the issues that keeps me away from the plan. Not being able to edit individual files in PS is one thing, but Lightroom is a photo organization system. I don't want to rent the system I use to organize 10s of thousands of files. -

Plug your iPhone into your Mac and open iPhoto. Transfer the photos from the phone to your Mac.

Changing animation frame rate when rendering in photoshop does not change the length of the video?
I made a walk cycle animation in Photoshop CS6 and want to render it into a quicktime format. I'd like it to be 12 fps, but when I rendered it at 12 fps the video seemed to be missing frames, and the video was 3 seconds long. I have 98 frames to my animation; doing the math, at 12 fps it should be 8 seconds long. Not 3.
I was confused and for curiosity's sake I rendered the video at 6 fps, trying to really slow it down. The video ended up being STILL 3 seconds long and only maybe 20 frames. I was missing literally 70 frames. I'm so upset with this rendering thing, I could chuck my computer at the wall.
Does anybody know of a solution to this?
edit: If it means anything, I've tried rendering it straight from the frame view and the timeline view. Each time I render it I have the timeline frame rate match the rendering frame rate as well.floriannaart wrote:

Photoshop CS6 and CC support two types of animation Frame animations and a Video Timeline
Changing the frame rate should not change the length of a video timeline. It should just change the number of frames that are rendered. To change the length of a video you need to change the length of the video timeline. If you increase the length of the timeline and there is audio I'm quite sure there will be a problem with it, The Video part will most likely be better then the sound. The required number of extra frames can be generated however the video may look like slow motion. If you decrease the length the motion will speed up. The length of a video is normally done be editing video clips which are trimmed and stitched together to get the desired duration. Not normally done by altering the duration of a clip.
The duration a of Frame animation is the sum of the times each frame is displayed. In a frame animation the length of time a frame is displayed can be varied it not a normal motion picture video. To have a smooth frame animation you need a sufficient number of frames that are different from each other to show smooth motion. You can use Photoshop Frame animation tween feature to have Photoshop manufacture frames to help with a smoothing the animation. Once you have a frame animation the length with the motion you want you can have Photoshop convert it to a video timeline and render a normal motion picture video. It will not have audio but you can add audio to it. -

I've been trying to solve this problem for a school my companey has set up. After some research and looking at a number of similar posts I tracked the problem down to loops that came with jam packs or with apps like soundtrack pro. These loops are located in /Library/audio/appleloops. If you give everyone read and write access to this folder and it items the loops seem to work.
I also noticed that once the loops were working agin GB had to convert the sample rate so it's possible that it's the sample rate on certain loops that causess the issue or prehaps the need to change the rate.
