My Apple ID has been disabled for no specified reason?

The problem has been persisting for a little under three weeks now, and I regret not getting in contact with you guys sooner. Everytime I attempt to purchase something from the iTunes Store/App Store on both my Macbook Pro and my iPhone/iPad I always encounter a message that simply says, 'Your Apple ID has been disabled.', there is no specific reason why it has been disabled, so therefore I am finding it increasingly difficult to locate the source of the problem. I was refered to the solutions page on the Apple Support section and followed all the steps, to no avail. I have tried contacting Apple via email but I have not been answered to yet, and my Apple ID is in need by me now. Can anyone see what is wrong?

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here, we won't know why it's disabled.
You've tried re-enabling it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ? And then tried loggin out of your account and then back in on your Mac and devices ? If they don't fix it then possibly only iTunes support can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons

When I try to log in to my iTunes store account i get the following message:
*This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons*
I've waited a while and tried again (as in a week or longer), and the account is still disabled.
Can anyone tell me how to get the ID enabled again, since as of now I'm unable to buy / download any content from the store. Which makes my iPhone a sad phone
My assumption is the problem is i have a rather desirable account name: i am constantly receiving notifications of failed logins to my account, presumably by scripts trying to hack it. But i have a secure password, so no problem. But perhaps this has led to the account being deactivated?
Any help / or reactivating the account would be great.

  • "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" Every few weeks

I have had an iTunes account for years with no issue. Lately, I have been receiving the dreaded "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" message every few weeks on my iPad 2(currenly, my only iOS device). I go through the process of reauthorizing my password and info and it works again for a while, then happens again some time later. It's getting annoying. I'm not sure what's changed. Only two computers are authorized to use my account and I am the only one who can log into either of them. No one knows my info and I live alone.
The only thing I can think is that it's a bot spamming my e-mail address and passwords in an attempt to hack my account. If that's the case, am I really going to have to go through this every few weeks just to use my iPad? Don't get me started on how stupid it is to have to type in your password to update existing apps. And that's usually when I find out, not when I actually purchase one.
Is anyone else having this issue? I'm wondering if it's more widespread. Some time ago, a chinese app was mysteriously purchased on my account. Apple refunded the purchase and reset my password. That was about the time that all of this started. The reviews on the app left no doubt that it was happening to numerous people and I have no idea how they would have forced a purchase on so many user accounts.

Everyone should keep a few things in mind:
This is an occasional problem affecting a vanishingly small percentage of the installed base. Look at the numbers of actual instances in just this thread, look at the gaps in time, etc.
Many many more ... me for example ... have never seen it at all. That doesn't mean it's not an irritation for those afflicted, but it does mean that it's not something likely to be seen as a critical issue affecting the whole base.
You aren't talking to Apple here in these user-to-user forums, at all, for any reason. This sort of communication is handled through their established Feedback links. If you can suggest a better way for them to handle things then make your thoughts and feelings known at —

  • TS2446 This Apple ID has been disabled (for no reason given)?

Due to the message "Your Apple ID has been disabled." on my daughter's iPad she can no longer update her apps. Apparently the status process will not even recognize a password change for the existing account or the use of another account (or different email address) since the process persists with the already existing account. I've tried changing the payment information, password, and account. There is nothing provided at the Apple support web site to assist with resolving this problem which I suspect is over money for an app upgrade that was rescinded because initially I did not recognize the charge. I'd gladly now pay but how?

...... which I suspect is over money for an app upgrade that was rescinded because initially I did not recognize the charge.
    Bingo!
The usual reasons for disabling an account are violation of the Terms of Use, or suspected fraud or misuse on the account.
As Gnome suggests, contact them and get it corrected.

  • My Apple ID has been disabled (not as security reasons)

One day I recieved the report about my Apple ID that I spent on $699 but I don't, so I consulted with the bank and he told me to cancel the credit card. After I canceled it, I found out that my husband misunderstood about the price of the functions in app from $699 to ฿699 that's the cause of this problem. And my Apple ID has been disable from cancelling the credit card number. What should I do?
PS. I try to change my credit card but it didn't effective

  • "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. Tap Reset to reset your account"

This message appeared several months ago when I attempted to update an app on my iPhone 4, I attempted to reset my password, however, it is telling me that I am answering the security questions incurrectly and when I click the option to reset the password by email it never sends me an email. Please do not give me the link to https://iforgot.apple.com/ following those instructions DOES NOT WORK. I have emailed Apple five times describing the situation and telling them that following the instructions on iforgot.apple.com does not help but everytime they send me an email back after several days telling me to go to iforgot.apple.com and follow the steps. I had to use my brother's itunes account just to post this. I searched all over the other threads but I did not find anything of any use, others have complained of the same problem but have not received any helpful advice. Please help me, this has been dragged out over several months and I need to download software on my Macbook Pro for work but cannot do so until I have access to my account again. Also I cannot update any apps on my phone, my wife is experiencing the same problem but on different devices so it is not something wrong with my phone and Macbook. I am incredibly disapointed in the customer service Apple has provided and if the problem is not resolved soon I will have to switch to another company, I love Apple products but I need to be able to update and download software. Thank you for any help you can give me!

I have (sorry forgot to add that). I was switched around and finally I was told I would be put through to a supervisor but after being on hold for about 10 minutes the phone went dead, I did not lose connection so I do not know if I was hung up on or there was some technical difficulty. I called again yesterday and did in fact speak with a supervisor for Account Security but he told me he did not know why it was happening and put me through to a different number but that ended up not being any helpful either. That's when I decided to give it a shot on here!
