My Apple id is not being recognized by my phone.

After wiping out my phone (4s) I erased everything like support page said to do to restore to iCloud. When the phone came back on allowing me to start my Iphone from original out of the box settings it says it tells me that I have to enter the Apple id associated with the device when it was originally set up, and it even shows the first letter of the id and dots up to the @ and then the rest of the email associated with the account, then you have to put in your password. After all of this it comes up stating that "Incorrect Apple ID" and even after the Genius Bar looked at it, the man told me to reset my password, he let me do it on there computer and I answered my security questions and reset the password, once again the phone said "Incorrect Apple ID" the man told me that this phone was purchased by somebody else and I had to have bought it from a individual I assured him I bought the phone from the very store I was in and the seal on the box was cut in front of me two years and one day to be exact, he then informed me I had to have set it up with another Apple id this being the only id I have ever had this statement would be incorrect also, he gave me loaner phone and set me up on one of the Apple Istore computers so I could link up with Apple Tech Support once again the lady wanted to change my password I explained to her it was the ID not the password, she said she had to do it on her end and it would work, I said ok. I gave her my Apple id, my credit card info expiration date, first six, and last four, and she then asked me my security questions after answering all three of them she said a email would be sent to me in 24 hours for me to reset my password I asked why she said "you only answered one of your three security questions correctly". What cant be possible I just entered them myself not 10 minuets prior to talking to her. I got the email today reset the password and I know you wont believe this but It still dose not work it still says "Incorrect Apple ID". What do you do when nobody from Apple cant understand what that means, all Apple is saying is change your password, My question is can you read what it says "Incorrect Apple ID" nothing to do with password!

Im presently on the Phone with Apple the Lady Im talking to understands its the id and not the password. I finally got somebody that listened to me. Wow and she is plesent to talk to.

    Shortcut Method
    On your Mac, please open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
    Click on the AirPort Extreme icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
    Click the Network tab at the top of the next window that appears
    Check the setting for Router Mode. It should be set to DHCP and NAT. If it's not, change to DHCP and NAT and click Update at the lower right of the window and allow a full minute for the AirPort Extreme to restart.
    Then, power off both the modem and AirPort Extreme
    Wait at least 15 minutes, longer will not hurt
    After the power down period, power up the modem and let it run for 5 minutes
    Then, power up the AirPort Extreme
    Check the network. If all devices connect, you are good to go. If connection issues still exist, you will need to move to the.......
    Start from scratch method
    With the AirPort Extreme powered on for a few minutes, hold in the reset button on the back of the device for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Extreme to restart to a slow, blinking light.
    Repeat the steps above starting with the power down of the modem and AirPort Extreme.
    The AirPort Extreme is automatically reset to DHCP and NAT when you perform the reset, so you do not need to check this setting.
    This time, when you power up the AirPort Exteme again, you will need to reconfigure the Extreme again. You can use the same device name, wireless network name, etc that you used before if you wish, or change things up.

    Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

    - I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then see if iTunes will see the iPod.  try both with the iPod not connected to the computer and with it connect. For recovery mode see:

This seems to have started happening after the last Itunes update I did as I was able to put music on my ipod touch a month or so ago. Is there some way to go back to an older version of itunes?     Go to 'Settings'
    'Music'
    Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
    Then connect to iTunes and sync!

  • IPads not being recognized when using apple configurator software

    I have an iPad cart with 25 iPad's. I am using a MacBook Air and the apple configurator software to try to manage the iPad's. The problem is, only 21 of the 25 iPads will show up in the apple configurator "prepare" section. All of the iPads are not being recognized. When I use a MacBook Pro all 25 iPad's will show. So the problem seems to be with the MacBook Air and/or Apple Configurator. Any suggestions? We have 30 carts total with some having up to 30 iPads so I am trying to find a fix for this.  

    This seems to be an issue related to the new 2013 MacBook Air models.  I've seen it pop up a few times now, and the common factor is always a 2013 MacBook Air.
    A "solution" doesn't seem to exist yet.  The workaround at this point would be to either use any older Mac to do the syncing, or only connect and sync half of the devices at a time.

    I have been trying to remove all residual apple files from my computer in order to fully reinstall iTunes. My devices are not being recognized by iTunes currently. I keep finding an Apple file under C/: Program files/ common files/ ......Apple.. under that there is an Internet Services file folder.. I am the administrator and yet it says I need permission to remove these files.
    Please advise.

    i have a friend who has an ipod touch....everything had been going fine for him and then all of a sudden it was not being recognized any more....what caused this? he did say that he had done an update but i'm not sure what version he has....could this possibly be the problem.....does anyone an a fix for this?

    I think Apple is having a problem at the moment, my Ipod touch was always fine syncing until the new update! (Even on older itunes version, I could'nt sync since new update came out) It just isnt recognizing the device...
    Ive done all that Apple says to do, none of which helps at all, I reckon its thier own side of the problem they need to fix...

    After scouring the web and these discussion forums to no avail, I've decided to post my problem. I downloaded iTunes 8.0 yesterday, and updated the firmware on my iPod Touch to 1.1.5. I tried connecting my iPod, and nothing happened. It is not being recognized by my MacBook. So, I tried using another USB iPod connector, and nothing happened. I tried using a firewire connector, and nothing happened. Frustrated, I tried connecting to my one roommate's HP laptop and see if it would get recognized there - no. I then tried on my other roommate's laptop. The device was recognized to be USB, but iTunes wouldn't go ahead and try and reformat it. I'm starting to lose my mind! I've tried resetting the iPod touch itself loads of times to no success. I've tried restarting while having the iPod connected to the computer, and still nothing.
    What should I do now?

    Does the iPod work OK?
    Have you tied resetting the iPod? Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    Next would be to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore via iTunes.  If iTunes does not see the iPod then the iPod is not usable. For recovery mode:
    iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
