I just synced with my MBP, but my iCloud account email address remains in a "inactive" status. Under settings the Apple ID and Password is wrong, and I can't find out how to fix it

I just switched over to an iPhone 4 CDMA on the verizon network the other day. I connected with my MBP/ w Lion and the sync seemed to go flawless.... All my date was pushed thru the iCloud, but then I saw that my main email address @me.com says that it is inactive when I look at it in Settings- Mail-Accounts. I can see that the iCloud account name and password is wrong, but I can not seem to find out how to correct it. Can anyone help me?

You either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here. If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries. Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer. You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple. On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application. So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer.

My icloud is attached to an apple ID that is not my primary and I can't get it to change

I have recently downloaded OS8.
I did it using my macbook pro via itunes and then synced my phone.
since then i keep getting a message to sign into my iCloud on my phone
sounds great except is is showing an incorrect apple id email and won't accept my password.
I have tried changing the password but that is not the issue - the issue is the wrong email address and I can't change this over
can anyone help?

So I have an iPod Touch, 2nd or 3rd gen., and it has music synced from multiple Apple IDs. I need to know how to copy that music as an audio file to save on my computer.

You can copy iTunes purchased from a device to your computer's iTunes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases - if the account is authorised on your computer's iTunes then you should be prompted to authorise it when trying to copy them.
Or there are programs listed half-way down this page which can copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
You can then add them to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library, again you should be prompted to authorise the account if it's not already authorised.
You can also find the account that a track is tied to be selecting/highlighting it in the My Music part of your library, or the Music section of 'OnMy Device' when you select the device, and doing 'get-info' (command-i) - it will show on one of the tabs on the popup

You can neither merge or delete them. Pick one and stop using the other. If they both have purchases associated with them you will have to keep using both.

How can I find out what apple IDs are tied to an email address

We are trying to set up FaceTime and got the verification error on the email address. We went in to the Apple ID account and when we verify the email address, it tells us that it's tied to another AppleID. My daughter has 3 other AppleIDs and we've checked each one of them and the email address is not tied to any of them.
How can we find out what apple ID is tied to this email address?
We have used the "Forgot my Apple ID" function and used all 3 of the different email addresses she's used on the accounts and when we access the one that says there's a duplicate, it takes us to the account and it's the one with the email address that I noted above.
Any thougts or help?

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. If you create an Apple ID for your daughter, signing out of the existing Apple ID with the iTunes & App Store on her iPhone will not change anything on your iPhone.
All apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
If she starts using her Apple ID to download apps, when there is an app update for an app on her iPhone that was downloaded with the current shared Apple ID, she will need to use that Apple ID and password to download the app updates.
