My apple mail 4.5 is not displaying my gmail but it will send from Apple mail. What can I do to get it to receive and display

I can't get my gmail to display on my Macbook Pro Mail 4.5. It appears to be synching and it shows on the top that there are messages but they do not display. It will allow me to send emails but it does not display received emails. Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

PDFs are notorious for being difficult to navigate with a screen reader, because nearly all PDFs are either not remediated for accessibility or poorly remediated. Hopefully that landscape is changing with the proposed new 508 rules, which substantially raise the bar for high quality document accessibility and hopefully will have some legal teeth. Still, JAWS should at least attempt to read any PDF that is not image-only. It should infer the tags if no tags are present. I am not at all familiar with JAWS but it sounds to me like the software may not be configured properly for reading PDFs. The JAWS company Freedom Scientific may be able to help, or posting in a JAWS support forum may yield useful information, or maybe a JAWS expert will chime in here. Sorry I am not able to be of help.

This happened after a Windows Service Pack update, I think, although no one at HP tech support has an answer for me. Everything worked fine for a week, then the update, then the hybrid change. I even uninstalled the Firefox 4.0 and reinstalled it. It's still not displaying properly. Thanks for your help

I would like to add:
you have incompatible software: start in SafeMode, read Woodmeister and see if it is free of issues.
Akamai is crap software needed or not, Huawei the same.
It is very possible that the keygenerator you used for generating a key for some softwares has infected your mac.
The non-regular software with the false key(s) are not compatible probably or generate malware. Luckily you can not update them automatically because the keygenerator blocked the software for contacting the developer... I propose to consider getting rid of those softwares by really good uninstalling.
You have a beautiful mac, don't degenerate it with crapped software. There are alternatives for expensive software, for example Adobe Photoshop has a free alternative (with a less beautiful interface) in GIMP. And so on.

LR is not able to pull up my photos. I have checked and the external hard drive is working but none of the thousands of photos are showing up. What can I do to get LR to recognize and pull up my photos.

LR is not abel to pull up my photos. There is the explanation mark on all the photos meaning that LR can not find them. The external hard drive is working. I have even changed the usb cord to see if that was the problem. I have been able to pull up the photos individually off of the external hard drive so that is working.

Yes, yes, yes! I do recall that I changed the drive letter but it did not register on the Finder so I had forgotten about it. Now it works and LR is now able to read the drive. Thank you sooooooo much. BTW, dealing with Adobe on this product is exceptionally frustrating since you can't talk to a human being on the phone. Emoticons are not sending from mac to phone with iMessage? They show up as symbols etc.    But they will send from the iPhone to the mac?   what am i missing here.    This used to work seamlessly.   Just started having issues?

Thank-you for the response RJTUK.   I thought I was losing my mind.   I thought that I would add for those that are following this post.   I also noticed that the emoticons are showing up fine from iMac to MacBook.   It seems the only loss in info is with the my iPhone [iphone 5 os 6.1].   So it definitely must be on the phones end? Hoping that someone will fix this shortly.   I know it is silly but I really enjoy the personality that emoticons can add to a imessage.

It's a really bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - click on 'Manage your Account', then in the first pane which opens you will see your Apple ID with an 'Edit' link to the right of it. Click that and you should be able to change the ID to your email address. Then you can sign in with it in System Preferences>iCloud to open an iCloud account and create a new @icloud.com address.
If you are not inextricably wedded to using your existing ID you can skip this step: just follow the method described by IMP68 here:

this will enable you to create an ID which is also the @Icloud.com address which you choose. (You can still sign into iTunes with the old ID if you want to - there is no connection between the two.)

The error 1009 error is normally associated with a blocked country. There are a list of countries that Apple is not allowed to sell their software to due to US restrictions

For FREE do the following:
When you get to othe part of the video you want a still shot from, put the video on pause.
Take a screen shot: Apple>Shift>4 - which will produce a cross hair so you can manually select which part of the video you want.Check inside either your Applications or Utility folder for an app called Grab. Will do the above with just a single click.
If you still want to purchase software, suggest that you do a Google & MacUpdate search. This way, you can find exactly what you want.
