My Apple Mail program isn't working properly

My Mail program suddenly won't get mail. I clicked on provide mail feedback and when it showed Accounts it said there were 5. I only have three.
The dropdown menu asking what system I use didn't list mine: 10.5.8

Never mind - I actually found out that this is by design. I don't understand WHY it's by design but it is. (remember on OS9 it used to be just a simple click?)

Installed new hard drive, mail re-install not working properly...

Hi - I replaced the hard drive in my laptop. Before doing that, I backed up my mail folder and my mail preferences folder to a DVD. Now, after installing OSX on the new hard drive, I've copied the file / folder onto the new drive, but mail isn't working properly. It keeps giving me the "welcome" screen instead of just starting up. It wants me to put in my email addresses, etc. Seems like there's a switch somewhere in the OS that tells it this is the first time its been run. If I go through the process, it still doesn't get my preferences right.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
The files / folders I'm copying are:
- Home > Library > Mail
- Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.mail.plist

Problem was not with mail but with Toast and the DVD I burned using it - arggh.

If you haven't tried it yet, I'd eliminate memory issues first. Close all of the apps with the double tap on the home button method

Hi, i am trying to setup back to my mac at home but I get the error "Back to my Mac isn't working properly because your DNS server isn't responding. Contact your ISP for an alternate DNS server address, and enter it in Network Preferences".
There is no documentation on how to solve this anywhere.
I have an Arris router set to bridged mode which is connected to a 5th generation airport extreme. I have tried using the google dns servers instead of the one assigned by the cable company in the AE but I still get the same error.
Any help would be much appreciated

New to BTMM, I got stung today with the silly DNS problem message. Solution:
1) Flush DNS cache with:
dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
2)System preferences > iCloud > untick BTMM then tick it again. The warning should have disappeared.

I do not have any ABAP Instance, only the JAVA one.
Therefore the ABAP transactions are quite useless.
The problem tables are created by people working on the CAF layer.
They have developed and deployed some homemade applications and this is leftovers from their development in some kind of way.
Anyone with any ideas?
Could it be that (yet) some special Portal Dictionary Role needs to be asigned to the Administrator?

Importing AOL Address Book/Contact List into Apple Mail Program

This is probably an old and already answered queation, but it has just come up for me. Does anyone know how to export the AOL Address Book/Contact List so it can be imported into the Apple Mail Program? I would like not to have to reinter all the address when I drop AOL.

The AOL Service Assistant works fine for transfering the AOL contacts to the Apple Address Book. However, I was unable to get the AOL favorites to tansfer to Safari. It keeps hanging up with the rotating basketball. Any further suggestions?

Back to my mac isn't working properly

After downloading Mavericks, (which went without a hitch), I am now receiving an error in system preferences stating: Back to my Mac isn't working properly
because the DNS server isn't responding. Contact your internet service provider for a different DNS server address, enter it in Network preferences and try again.
In reality everything wireless is working; the internet the printer iPad works fine.
I went to the Airport utility and clicked on my Time Capsule and it states: Change Airport base station from using DHCP and NAT to Bridge mode.
I done that and everything related to the wireless router runs real slow, I mean real slow. It took just under 4 minutes for my Time Capsule to recognize the computer. Due to this I received all kinds of errors from the printer from Airport Utility and the iPad.
I need a fix please, I've read all the support documents related to this in the support community and either the answers given I have tried with no success or they do not relate to my situuation.
Thank you for looking at this, I only hope you have a valid answer.

If FaceTime ever worked properly for you, restarting your modem (and separate router/wireless if you have such) may help. If the problem continues, try connecting at a different location to see if the problem is within your wi-fi.
The black dot problem may mean you need to reset your iPod. If that does not help, it may need service by an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Apple Mail program will not delete messages

I have a new MacBook Pro Retina. In the Apple Mail program, I am having trouble deleting some messages from my work email (uses Microsoft Exchange). When I login online to my email account, I see certain messages are deleted. On my MacBook, however, they still show up in my inbox. When I delete them, or right click and move to trash, an error message pops up that says they cannot be moved to trash. This is odd, because on the server they appear already to be in the trash.
I have tried restarting, closing and opening Mail, etc. By the way, my older work computer on which I also access the account via Apple Mail works seemlessly.
Ideas?

Ah Hah! Though I tried searching for a similar thread, I could not find one until I posted the message and the "More Like This" box on the right led me to similar issues.
I did end up highlighting the box, and going to "Mailbox" -> "Rebuild" which fixed the problem. I hope it does not occur again.

Convolution.vi isn't working properly

I'm using LabView 7.0 and I'm trying to performing a convolution with the convolution.vi. This VI isn't working properly. As you can see in the attached file, the result isn't right even for very small input arrays. The result also depend on the input data format (singel or double etc.)
May be someone had the same problem, or knows something about it. I'm using LabView 7 on an Windows NT system, may be that has something to do with it.
Would be greatful about every hint,

Can you open the diagram of the convolution.vi, then double-click on the "Call Library Function Node". What is the Path? (It should be C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\resource\lvanlys.*).
Could ot be yours points somewhere else?
Now find the lvanlys.dll in explorer. The size of the LabVIEW 7.0 version should be 528384 bytes.
Do a search for lvanlys.dll. How many different versions show up?
