My apple menu has disappeared

This is incredibly frustrating.
I am absolutely not in full screen mode, my problem is not related to any applications, or Safari, or any of that nonsense. When I logged in to my account it seemed as if everything was zoomed in, my Macintosh HD icon on the desktop was halfway off the screen, I cannot see the bottom of my dock, my browser was enlarged not zoomed in, and my apple menu has completely disappeared. I would've talked to apple support directly, however I need a serial number and to access that I would need my apple menu. It's not exactly hindering my use but I am OCD and it's driving me completely bonkers.
Someone please rescue me,
-Agitated & Confused
p.s. i actually don't know which operating system I'm running under, i guessed.

Try zooming out using the keyboard commands:

  • After I installed 10.7 My Apple Menu has shrunk in option including now missing the shutdown and restart also I can't not install the iCloud upgrade

    After I installed 10.7 (nw 10.7.1) my apple menu has shrunk, my Finder menu keeps asking me if I want to "Run Full Finder" and my Mac will not power down or reboot. Is there any way to fix the installation.

    Thank you guys for the recovery info (cmd-r)
    However this is not working. the screen opens on the apple, and that's it.
    This would probably work great for a new Mac though, but mine is a MacBook Pro (17" 2010) and I just read: "Some computers that did not ship with OS X Lion installed may have a software update available that allows them to use Lion Internet Recovery." Had I known about the firm update I would have installed it long ago, only now is a tad too late.
    Any idea as to what to do next?

  • The "recently used programs" section on the start menu has disappeared - how do I get it back?

    On the start menu, the top few programs are those that I use frequently. There used to be a line, and underneath the line appeared the programs that I have most recently used (other than the frequently-used programs above the line). This bottom section has disappeared - how can I get it back? Running XP with Firefox 33.1.

    This is a Windows question, not a Firefox question. Try using a search like www.bing.com/search?q=restore+recently+used+programs+windows+xp for help.

  • All the text in the Firefox dropdown menu and the toolbar menu has disappeared. How do I get it back?

    When I try and open the Firefox drop down menu there is no text to explain the different options. The same thing happens when I try and right click, there is no text only blank spaces. If someone can help I would really appreciate it. I have used Firefox for a long time and I would hate to have to stop using it. I can post screenshots if needed.

    Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 25: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
    *Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
    Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
    Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
    If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

  • My spry menu has disappeared. Help!

    I had my spry menu all set except for it wasn't quite long enough. In the process of getting the width correct, it went transparent. I can see the menu items properties and in the code and the blue box is there. I just can't see the menu itself in Dreamweaver or online. I can't figure out what I changed that made it do this.

    <style>
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li {

        position: relative;
    </style>
    and managed to see the menubar.
    However, while perusing the stylesheet, I noticed that it had been mistreated beyond recognition. In view of this, I would recommend starting with an untouched stylesheet and changing only the colours and font sizes of existing style rules. Do not add new rules, do not delete existing rules.

  • Blue Tooth has Disappeared from My Menu Bar

    So I turned on my PowerBook G4 today and for some reason, the blue tooth option in the menu bar has disappeared and I can't find any application in regards to blue tooth, except the blue tooth file sharing. It has also disappeared from the system preferences.
    In the hardware section of "About this Mac", it says for blue tooth, no information found.
    I didn't do any backup today nor did I move any applications around. How do I get my blue tooth back on the computer? I obviously can't use my BT mouse now.
    Any ideas what happened?

    My Lil' Powerbook did this to me several times about a year ago, I believe I reset the PMU and it cleared. I know it happened several times and I freaked out. The problem has not happened in over a year and I use my bluetooth mouse all the time.
    Point is something may have changed on my system that I do not remember doing such as an update.
    My suggestion is to reset the PMU, and check out the following two updates.
    Reset PMU:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1431
    Updates:
    For PPC (which you have)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL354
    Since you have 10.5.8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL889
    My bluetooth firmware version is 2.1586 not sure how I got that, but I have the 12" Powerbook!
    If I were you I'd load both of the updates one at a time starting with the PPC 1.2.1 then the 2.0.1 for 10.5.8.

  • Save as has disappeared from my menu

    Hi and good evening
    On my Mac Save As has disappeared from the Pages menu. Under Share the Send by email is grey ie not in bold as usual, but the formats - Word etc are in bold and when clicked on an email (new message) comes up but if I've clicked on Word the document appears to not have been changed from Pages. Hence the attachment has been blocked by the recipents Outlook Express.
    Sorry...as you can tell ...I'm not too good on computer speak.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks
    Ann

    When you 'share' a document, you need to choose a format in which to share it. For reasons unknown, Apple has decided to change the layout of the Share menu to make "Send via Mail" and "Export" non-selectable category headers, and place the format choices in the top-level menu. It's a design choice, but one I can't see much benefit in.
    Your document itself will not show any change in format if you choose "Word," but if you check the attachment to the email message produced, you see the .doc extension indicating it is a Word file. If you have Word (or one of the open source Office applications (eg. LibreOffice, OpenOffice.org), 'Sharing' a Word copy of the document with yourself, thenopening it with one of these applications (but not with Pages). All will open a Word format document, and none of them will open a Pages format document. Your resut should tell you whether the conversion has been made.

    Barry

    Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
