My apple password no longer works in the app store but works everywhere else, what is going on?

For some reason, when I attempt to update the apps on my iPhone 5, the password is rejected. I went to the apple website and reset my password. Everything looks find on the website. I then attempt to update the apps again from my iPhone and the password is rejected again. I then tried to update the apps using iTunes, and the password was still rejected... What gives? Any ideas?

Right now the ability to sign in to the App Store is not functioning. Apple is aware of the issue, but says cannot give a time frame as to win it will be fixed. Has been ongoing since Wednesday afternoon

Lion is no longer available from the App Store, but I haven't gotten it yet.

I purchased Lion from the App Store on October 27th, but then realized I could not download it yet due to bandwidth restrictions at school (though I did download it once, but the file corrupted and I went over the bandwidth limit, causing my Internet to be shut off). So I'm finally home for Thanksgiving, and went to download again to install it this time. However, the download is no longer available. It doesn't show up as purchased, and when I tried to log in and download it, it wanted to charge me another $30.
Is there any way that I can redownload this again without paying again?

Alright. I resolved the problem. In case anyone else has this issue, my copy of Lion got moved to 'hidden purchases'. Unhiding it fixed the problem.

Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Log out and log back in. Test.

My Apple Remote Desktop won't update in the App Store but it won't update. Any suggestions?

I just updated to Yosemite. Now Apple Remote Desktop shows up in the App Store as an update. However, double clicking yields an alert that it can't be updated through the store. The Alert advises that I have to go to the Apple menu Software Updater. That didn't work either.

I also have ARD 3 from the disk and just updated to Yosemite. Its up to date at Version 3.7.2 (372A19).
The "update" the App Store claims is Version 3.7.2 - Released Mar 17, 2014.
The error message I get is:
We could not complete your purchase.
Remote Desktop is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates.
This seems like a bug to me.

First, make sure that sync automatically is disabled: iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Then connect your iPad, do not sync, right-click in the left device pane: Transfer Purchases.
That should put it in your app library, & if a universal app, just sync it to your phone.

Apple: Ban "Candy Crush Saga" from the app store!

king.com is abusing the redirect-to-app-store functionality from web pages so Safari opens the app store app on my iPhone when one of their annoying advertisements appear. This makes the reading of web pages which contain these ads completely impossible!
This is serious abuse of Safair on iPhone functionality and Apple should ban king.com from the app store if they don't stop this immediately!

Not possible as purchases can be downloaded to all devices using the same Apple ID.

Not unless it is in your iTunes library. If so, you can sync it back to your phone. If not, you can't get it back.
This is why you want to always transfer your purchases to iTunes by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Or, turn on Automatic Downloads in iTunes by going to iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Mac) or Edit>Preferences>Devices (PC).

Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.

You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh.
