My Apple TV 3 keeps shutting off
I used to own an Apple TV 3 first generation which I returned for a newer one because of wi-fi issues. But now, witht he new one (MODEL MD199LL/A), ever since I installed the 5.2.1 updated software, it keeps shutting off for no good reason. Sometimes it will turn back on after a couple of seconds and the movie I was watching will be paused a few seconds later than were it was at, but other times, it simply freezes and I have to force-reboot the device.
I tried rebooting it, I tried restoring it (both from the Apple TV directly and from iTunes) but nothing seems to work. This never happened to me before this specific update. This is quite annoying, especially since I rented a movie on my Apple TV and can't get it to download on my iMac for some stupid reason...
Has this happened to anyone else lately?
I should also add that the LED on my device is always on, so it seems to be a problem of signal going to the tv.

My Apple iPad keeps shutting off when I open an app. It randomly closes when on social media or online. Not able to view my Bible app. Have tried rebooting, but it doesn't help.
Then you may have to Restore your iPad from backup in iTunes?
How much free space do you have left on your iPad? -

My 1st generation Time Capsule/2007 keeps shutting off and disconnecting from internet? What could be the problem? How long do the Time Capsules usually last?
That it is still working is miraclous.. most have died.. lots started flaking out at 18months to 2years..
See deadtimecapsule.org
The few that remained now seem to have reached EOL.. you can repair if you have some skills.. fairly cheaply.
But it is well and truly time to replace.

Mac Pro keeps shutting off randomly
Hey guys,
My Macbook Pro keeps shutting off randomly. Its been doing it for a few months now and I was finally able to restore it to factory settings to see if that would fix the problem but it hasnt. Sometimes it will shut off every five minutes, other times it will be maybe once an hour. I've noticed that it is more likely to shut off when I'm visiting youtube or watching a video/viewing a site with lots of pictures.
By "shutting off" I mean that the screen goes black and I have to hold down the power button until it completely turns off and then restart it.
When I turn my computer back on it sometimes has a reason for the problem, which I copied and pasted below:

some 15-inch Mid 2010 MacBook Pros are known to have a defect in their NVIDIA GPUs. Given the symptoms which you’d described, yours might have that defect also. Apple had a gratis servicing program for three years from the MacBook Pro’s date of purchase; they still offer the servicing, but it is no longer guaranteed to be gratis. I’d recommend that you make an appointment at your nearest Apple store or Apple-authorized service center, to have them run their Video System Test on your MacBook Pro, which will confirm whether or not its NVIDIA GPU has the defect. -
My MBA keeps shutting off every 5 minutes. what is happening? I can't do any work done because of it.
Same problem for me, it happened after 3 weeks.
I had to call Apple, althrough they couldn't solve the problem by phone.
Genius bar were full so they sent me to a local store.
Looks like it has something to do with the graphic card. It occured when I plugged my macbook to my iMac for screen the 1st time
11 days later I'm still waiting to get my macbook back. Hope you can get it faster!
Very disapointed with the support quality and product quality. -
Why does my AirPort Extreme keep shutting off?
My AirPort Extreme keeps shutting off randomly can any one help?
-thanksMore experience leads me to believe the problem is with the new iMac. If I get the network going by turning AirPort Extreme power off, then on, I see a good signal at my iMac. Experience shows the network drops off after several hours. But yesterday I turned the iMac off, and the network remainded up (I could see it on my iPhone and iPad) throughout the night. That's the first time that has happened since I got the new iMac. Never had this issue with the old machine. I transferred all file to the new machine from a Time Machine backup that was up-to-date. Am working with Apple support. They had me do a re-boot of the AirPort and will call back tomorrow AM to learn it did not solve the problem, but turning off the iMac does. Darn.

Why does my iPad mini keep shutting off every two seconds?
Why does my iPad mini keep shutting off every two seconds?
I doubt that anyone here can answer that question with any validity...
That being said, try to reset the device:
*Device reset*
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally. -

It sounds like it could be a couple of things causing the issue, try backing up your iPhone via iTunes and restoring the software to eliminate any possible software issues. Don't put you backed up information back on to the phone untill youve had a chance to test it for a few days. If its working properly restore your information, if not book it in for repair.
For more information on repair options use http://www.apple.com/support/service/ and select your product and country. -

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -

If you still have the problem then it appears that you have a hardware problem, maybe a battery problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

With the iPod still connected, try resetting it by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

How to add a gap clip above main storyboard
In FCPX I would like to add a "gap" clip above my main timeline edit so I can add markers - see http://fcpx.tv/Pages/tips6.html for the idea. This will then be the length of my edit. Unfortunately I have not found a way to drag a gap clip or insert a
