Apple tv is not taking my apple ID for itunes, after i updated the apple TV it stopped logging me into itunes, what should i do...?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    3.    Restart your router.
    4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

    I cannot get Apple TV to accept my Apple ID and/or password. I reset the password and verified that I have the correct user name but still no luck.  Any advice?

    I finally went to General/Reset/Reset All Settings    Before I could get it to work. *****. I blame the latest update, but that's just because I have no other significant event on which to place the blame.
    Use case when mine got hosed; in case Apple is reading:  was watching a rented movie.  Paused it for an extended period of time (helping wife with groceries). While I was away it went to screensaver and eventually went to sleep. Upon return, I hit menu to bring it back to life and was greeted with the authentication error.   Bah!

  • Won't accept single songs/palylists in iTunes after os3 update

    Once iPhone is synced, I go to music in iTunes and try to drag just one song over or a playlist and the phone won't accept it.
    I went into settings and set the music to automatically sync playlists and it will add the music that way.
    When I updated the OS3 all music and playlists were removed from the phone. Everything else was there, apps, images, pictures I took specially from the phone itself, but alas no music.
    Is there anything I can do. I searched and found a lot of other issues with this update but nothing about music.
    I have not changed music formats, updated anything else (outside of the iTunes 8.2 upgrade). Actually the only change is I restarted the computer today because of loss of power.

    I let the sync fully load on one playlist. Once that was done I unplugged and powered off. Power on and sync again, clicking the manually chose music and video in first pane of setting window.
    After that it allowed me to load any song. Not sure why it did this after the update but maybe a software glitch? Resenting and syncing may have done the trick.

  • HT201422 It's been over 24 hours, and Apple iMessage will not accept my Apple password

    I've gone into settings, checked things on the Mac and on my iPhone.  The iPhone is set and works perfectly.  The iMessage on Mac worked perfectly until yesterday.  I use Chrome, but went back to Safari and it still doesn't work.  Help, please.

    I have gone to Apple help page for iMessage, Google Help Pages for Google Talk (because the menu asks for a talk.google.com password)
    but there is no page for Message, Google Message or any Message at all.  It synchs with Google email, so I went to the help page for that.  I tried logging into my internet accounts again - Gmail in particular.  When I went into preferences and internet accounts, iMessage asked for my Apple password.  So I tried that.  I had also tried logging in using my Google password - supposed to work with all Google apps - and my Gmail password.  Even tried an old password.  I got this screen:
    When I hit the Cancel button, it will not cancel but keeps popping up.  Just now, it was 8 times before it stopped.  All other Google functions are working and are connected when I look in internet accounts.
    When I click on the message icon, it opens, but the screen is grayed out:
    However, it did update one message from this morning.  The messages are otherwise not there between 11/30 and Dec 2, today.

    It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
    You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:
    TCP 123
    TCP 3689
    UDP 5353
    TCP 80
    TCP 4343
    TCP 53
    This may also solve other problems you may have with homesharing...

    why is my apple id password not accepted when I try to login to iCloud? The same password worked when I tried to login to support to post this question!

    If Settings>iCloud is showing your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Where are you entering the Apple ID PW?
    What message do yo get when you try?
    Have you tried resetting the PW?

    What Mac OS X do you have?  ICloud requires 10.7.2 or higher.  Then the iCloud icon is in System Preferences.

    It won't matter. You are not allowed to use the Indian iTunes Store from the UAE or anywhere else outside of India.
    The Service is available to you only in India. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside this location. iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance.
    Since you are in the UAE, you can only use the UAE iTunes Store. You will need either to open up a new account in the UAE iTunes Store, or change the country of your existing account to the UAE.

    there may be several reasons why your credit card may be declined by the iTunes store ,
    the reason the iTunes store require c.card when you setup your apple id is for verification purposes
    if you have called the iTunes store in the past about unrecognised charges, or unauthorised activity ,
    then your bank may have blocked your card from being used on the iTunes store, i would recommend contacting your banking institute
