My appleoworks drawing disappeared after saved as a microsoft document.

I saved my appleworks document as a microsoft one, closed it and when I returned to it all my drawings were gone. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening or is this just an incompatibility between microsoft and appleworks? It was so annoying the first time so I just went and used someone's windows pc to redo my work and send it out but I don't have access to a pc anymore. So how can I prevent appleworks from deleting my drawings after save it as a microsoft document?

AppleWorks does not make MS Word documents (just as MS Word does not create AppleWorks documents); it never has (nor has it ever been claimed). While you can save your text in a format that can be opened in Word, drawings and images will, more often than not, fail to be reproduced, and the document formatting may or may not be as originally intended. If a Microsoft Word document is what you need, then it will have to be created in MS Word.

  • Journal entry disappears after saving and not available to post

    Hi Gurus
    On BPC for Netweaver version 7.5 and excel 2003 i am able to save the journal entry but am not able to post it since it disappears after saving. I could see the Journal ID being generated and then the layout gets cleared . i am unable to post this journal. Also when i go to journal manager and tries to list the journals this saved journal does not show up.
    I have already set the application parameter "JRN_MAXCOUNT" to 1000  so that i can see the journals that i create.
    Have any of you faced such an issue?

    Hi Tara,
    Thank you very much for your tip. I had Datasource as one of the header fields and i moved it to the item fields to make it work. I am still not sure why does that. May be because when we create the journal template system proposes only the required fields in Header and if select additional ones its not liking it.
    I cannot come up with a reasoning why we cannot incorporate a non required field in header journal template . The obvious reason that i included the datasource dimension in header itself was because it was a common value that i want to use for all my journals.
    Anyway i hope SAP would either fix this or come up with a reasoning.

  • Reminders no longer work. Alert time disappears after saving.

    After setting the date, time and alert the time disappears after saving.

    Go to iCloud.com and check if your reminder on there has been backup. If all your remainder was backup. You can go to Settings>iCloud>Turn on Reminder
    Sometimes iCloud setting should be turned on for Calendar or Reminder for it to work like to create new event on the calendar or reminder

  • Imported Objects Disappear After Saving

    I have been working on a project into which I've imported 4 Illustrator objects (If you look at the first image below, the objects are a lightpost, two figures, the word StoryFirst and the word Media). I saved the 4 objects as separate files in Illustrator and then imported each one as "Composition" while leaving the "Illustrator/PDF/EPS Sequence" box unchecked.
    After saving the AE project last night, I reopened the project this morning and found this:
    As you can see, the lightpost and figures objects are still visible in the composition pane, but the StoryFirst and Media objects have disappeared. The files are still listed in the project pane, however, and you can still select the object layers in the timeline and you will get the object wireframes in the composition pane as if they were still there, but the actual objects themselves are no longer visible. As you can see in the picture, when I select a layer of the StoryFirst object in the project pane, the mini-preview in the upper left corner doesn't even display it.
    I've tried closing and reopening the project a few times as well as toggling on and off the eye switch on each layer in the timeline, both to no avail. I also tried right clicking on each layer and choosing "Replace File" and bringing everything back in again new. This makes the objects reappear at the moment I have the project open, but as soon as I save the project again, close it and reopen it, they've disappeared again! All object files are in the same place in my hard drive as they've always been. AE never prompted me with an error message that it couldn't locate files. This is a very bizarre problem I've never encountered before.
    Any help in solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone!

    In AI, check your layers palette and inspect the structure of your groups. There may be odd combinations of e.g. groups with empty clipping masks (that cover the entire artboard and are only there, because the graphics were imported from a legacy version of AI or another program). That could lead to misinterpretation where then AE would clip the entire artwork. Similarly, look for things like Livepaint groups or live pathfinder groups. Same for art brushes, pattern brushes, pattern fills etc. In case of doubt, always do an Object --> Expand, then select the artwork and choose "Release Clipping mask". Often a bit optimization will do wonders. Also, one thing that came to mind after I wrote my last reply, is to check your swatches. Since AE operates in RGB mode only, it may not deal correctly with spot color swatches (Pantone) and CMYK swatches...

  • Scripting for Conditional Advanced Actions disappears after saving - title remains

    Hi, for the third time in a 24 hour period, after painstakingly entering 14 lines of variables and actions, the contents of the conditional AA script that I saved disappeared.  Yes, I saved all of them!  The name I gave it remains on the list of Advanced Actions, but clicking on it yields a virginal scripting window. At this point I've wasted a couple of hours re-writing the script only to have it go blank on me again.  Any ideas?

    Our client is using SAP Business One 2007 A(8.00.181) SP 00 PL 47, When they raise Purchase Order for service item, the details and amount disappears automatically after adding the document and similar case for Good Receipt PO. But when they book directly in AP invoice the details and amount will appeared.So please help on solution for the above problem.

    Dear Mr Burton,
    If I understood correctly you cannot see the information inside the document you added. This made me think that it is a GUI issue.
    In the second answer you specified that when you try to open it again you'll receive the error message saying that there is no total value or total and I assume there is no information in the document.
    I believe the second issue is a consequence of the first one.
    I was suggesting to open a message on the portal (the message that requires the S number from the partners) in order to investigate the issue better.
    However, as you have an error message that pinpoints to certain fields it could be possible to see the information in the tables. Do you have this information?

  • Conrefs disappear after saving to xml

    Hi all,
    I'm having a weird issue with conrefs and I'm hoping someone can help.
    I have 3 documents: DocA, DocB, and DocC.
    I've been using conrefs to reuse rows in a table that need to be repeated in multiple files. DocA is the source file that contains the main content and DocB and DocC contain conrefs to table rows in Doc A.
    When I insert the conrefs everything seems to go fine and I'm able to save all the docs as xml without error. However, after I close and reopen DocB, some of the cells are blank (e.g., in a 3 column table, some rows will still have content in column 1, but not column 2 or 3). When I look at the details for the affected rows, the conrefs seem to have disappeared.
    I've tried reinserting the conrefs, and this seems to work fine until I reopen the file. When I reopen the file, the conrefs I fixed generally appear, but cells in a different row are missing. To make matters even weirder, DocC, which contains conrefs to the exact same rows, works fine and all the conrefs show up.
    This problem has occured in several sets of files. I really don't know what to do. I've tried reassigning IDs to all of the source rows in DocA and rebuilding the tables in DocB and DocC, but the same problem keeps popping up (sometimes it goes away for a few days and then returns).
    I've also checked the DITA Options and the "Auto-Load Conrefs On File Open" is enabled.
    Has anyone run into a similar problem or know anything about this? I'm getting nervous about using conrefs at all if they can disappear without warning!
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I'll have to test this in FM10. I use (and make) DITA-FMx where this works fine, but will test it in default FM-DITA and see if there's a problem. Do you have the latest FM10 patches installed? I do recall some issues with table conrefs in early FM10, but think they were fixed later .. the current version is 10.0.2.419.

    OK, just tested it and sure enough, it doesn't seem to work .. conreffing either rows or cells .. it works when you insert it, but doesn't resolve when opened. The data is still valid, but it just doesn't render in FM. When I open the files I created in FM10 (default DITA support) with DITA-FMx, the conrefs show up just fine. If you really need table conrefs, it might just be a good reason to buy DITA-FMx ..

    I was working on a wrod document and after i saved the document i went to close it. After closing the document i went to submit it via email and the paper is nowhere on my computer. My recent files says i was not on word for the last 2 days! Can i fin this document? I have tried searching for the title and can't find anything.

    I have added chapters to my movie file using the instructions here:

  • Drawing disappears after 4000px of height

    Hi to all readers,
    I'm currently working on a web-project, that requires a
    flash-overlay on webpages. With the help of Actionscript 3.0 the
    lines and misc. marks are being drawn. So far so good, but only
    until the flash-movie isn't longer than approx. 4000px. After that
    point, any marks, that should have been drawn, just don't show up
    anymore, while the Flashmovie viewport is still there, meaning it's
    not being cut by browser.
    My guess is that Flash has a limitation of view-port height
    at
    4000px. Could anyone confirm this?
    Any workaround would be great and much appreciated. This is
    very important for my project, as it depends on that movie-height
    and it should be at least 9000px (in one movie, because the marks
    are being drawn dynamically with dynamic intervals).

    well, what I sugested was not to actualy scroll the browser
    page, but to "scroll" the MovieClip. Here`s my code:

  • Adobe reader not open the file immediately after saving it  with Microsoft Office

    I have an older version Adobe Reader 9, and worked fine until today. I did the upgrade to Adobe Reader XI (11.0.06).
    I have Window´s Office 2010 on my computer. When I save a document on *pdf file, Adobe starts automatically and open the document (Open file after publishing.) After the upgrade, documents are not open automatically and shows the next message:  "There was an error  during initialization. An internal error ocurrred." and  "There was an error opening this document. Access denied.". But if I try manually, files are open. How do I fix this problem.

    I'm having a similar issue.  The .pdf files open fine locally, but when I put them up online, they will not open and I get the same error message.  If I download and save the files, they show a 1KB file size instead of 168KB.
    Drive space is not an issue (looking at over 225GB of free space on the main drive).
    In searching on-line, the main cause I am finding is receiving the file via e-mail and a decoding issue.  This is not the case with these files as they were created on my machine and uploaded using Filezilla to the server.  I'm using Acrobat Pro 7.0 on a windows box running Vista Ultimate.
    Any ideas on what would be causing this issue?

  • Release Tab in purchase order disappear after release using ME29n

    Hi there,
    We are busy testing support stacks (upgrading from ECC6 SAP_APPL SAPKH60305 to SAPKH60307)and we've come accross a strange problem.  When we create a normal purchase order (ME21n) the purchase order does pick up a release strategy.  Using the older ME28 transaction to release this purchase order, everything is fine.  We can use ME28 to release the purchase order, as well as unreleasing the purchase order, as often as we want (the same purchase order).  When we use transaction ME29n the release tab in the purchase order just simply disappears after saving.  In the purchase order header changes, the release change is visible, but the release tab is missing.  This purchase order is now not subject for release, and a goods receipt is possible without release.  I checked in table EKKO as well and the release fields in this table for this purchase order is empty.
    Has anybody had a similar experience?  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

  • Excel sparklines disappear when saving the file.

    Sparklines that I created in Excel 2011 disappear after saving them and reopening the document. I tried saving it in .xlsx and still nothing. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this problem?
