I want to ask that when my application exe runs, it does not allow any other program or any other exe to be opened above it. Instead other exe opens but behind that and my exe always remains at the top. Is there any way so that i launch any exe,and it opens above my application exe.

Satelite A30 does not see any other network devices in WLan

I recently bought a Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card, i've installed it and managed to get it to recognise my broadband but it does not see any other network devices. I was not supplied with any drivers or software to operate the card (I bought it from a proper dealer). Can you recommend downloads that would run this card?
I have a Satelite A30 laptop 1gb ram 60GB HDD.
Also large files sometimes stop transfering (hangs)when using my USB connection. The usb controller is using microsoft driver 5.1.2600.0 dated 1 june 2002.

I dont know which devices in the broadband you mean but usually if you want to communicate or transfer files between notebooks through the WLan so all computers must be in the same domain or workgroup.
I cannot give you a proper answer but only a suggestion. I have red that sometimes a lower power could be responsible for such issue. Try to disable the option Power safe in the USB root hub properties in the device manager.

Adobe Audition does not playback any audio file. He opens it but does not react on the play key.

Adobe Audition CC does not playback any audio file. He opens it but does not react on the play key. It is after use audio hardware usb wi-fi headphone and return to build-it out. The program don't react now.
I see problem:
I am unable to get playback at all in CS6 on Mac. The play button or spacebar will not move the playhead or make sound come out of the foamy things with the magnets. The play button toggles back and forth between green and white, but it isn't working. This is true in both multi track and waveform view.
Anyone have ideas on what the issue could be? Thanks!

Best bet would be to go into Preferences > Audio Hardware, verify your input and output devices are correct, and probably switch your Master Clock to the opposite setting. If that fails, we can continue troubleshooting.

Not true. Apple has removed both Apps from App Store so you cannot buy them anymore. But if you have any of these Apps already purchased in the past, then you can still download them on your Mac.

Open App Store, sign in with your Apple ID and go to Purchases tab. If you see iPhoto app listed there close down the App Store and do this steps as this is what worked for me:
Open Finder and go to Applications folder.
Locate iPhoto app
Drag iPhoto app from your Applications folder to Trash (NOTE: Do not emptied Trash yet)
Open App Store app and navigate to Purchases tab.
Click on Install button which is next to the iPhoto app (on the right hand side).
Once iPhoto is downloaded again, test it if its working for you. If all is ok, you can remove your Trash.

Cannot modify application: [dimension] does not have any members

Hi experts,
When I try to add a newly created dimension to an application, I get the error message: "[dimension] does not have any members. Validate and process members first".
I have indeed added members to the dimension and saved to the server and processed. However, I guess that the processing does not work as it should because when I process the dimension, it only goes further than "Progress (1/4)", followed by the message "The task has been successfully completed".
I would expect it to go up to "Progress (4/4)....
The backward compatibility pack has been installed.
Any suggestions?

- Version is 7 SP4 for Microsoft
- It's a customer install
- Same behavior in Apshell. I can "process" the dimension in Apshell but I don't think it really processes it. It still stops at step 1/4 even at Apshell
- When I add the dimension to an application, it says that the dimension does not contain any members, even in ApShell.
So to summarize: the behavior is the same in Apshell.
Can I look into any logs to see exactly what happens?

File Data Source: does not support any other host except LOCALHOST?

I am using US 1.0.3.
This exercpt is from the OTN iLearn Subscribed course titled "Oracle9i UltraSearch New Features" on operating system file access:
"The file protocol is used only for the machine that launches the crawler. You can not specify any other host for this kind of URL, except LOCALHOST."
Does it mean that US 1.0.3 can not be used to search other file servers on the network? For example, we have US 1.0.3 installed on a server S1 which is on a network with other servers (e.g. S2). I want to use US to search files in the folder myDir on server S2. So I tried to create a file data source with this URL:
file://\\s2\myDir\
But I got this error:
Invalid file protocol URL: file//\\s2\myDir\
Hostname of the file URL "file://\\s2\myDir\ is not "localhost".
My question:
(1) Can US 1.0.3 search files on a different server than the one US is running on?
(2) If so, how to specify the URL using the above example for it to work?
(3) If not, how about the newer version of US, 9.2 or 9.02? Can they be used to search files on other network servers/drives?
(4) If no to question (3), is there any plan to support this in the future version of US?
My comment: Not able to search other servers really limits the userfulness of US. I really hope Oracle will consider adding this capability.

Since I posted my previous question, I have read on the 1.0.3 online help that we can define remote crawlers to crawl "on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database". So I assume this is how to make US to search on other servers. In the online documentation it also includes the following paragraph on "Remote Crawler Profiles Page":
"Use this page to view and edit remote crawler profiles. A remote crawler profile consists of all parameters needed to run the Ultra Search crawler on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database. A remote crawler profile is identified by the hostname. The profile includes the cache, log, and mail directories that the remote crawler shares with the database machine. "
The Remote Crawler Profiles Page, however, displays only remote crawlers already defined and the page seems to be used just for editing the porfiles of these defined remote crawlers.
My questions:
(1) How do I create the remote crawlers and defines the profiles in the first place?
(2) Where can I find more documentation on remote crawlers?
(3) Once the remote crawlers are set up, how do I specify the file URLs for each remote crawler?
(4) With US9.02 or 9.2, does remote crawler work the same as in 1.0.3, or are there any enhancements?

Building an application that does not use any local program files or libraries

I need to build an application that will not use any local libraries or LabView program files(even if LabView is installed on the PC). I also am curious if anyone knows if there is a way to debug such an application(in it's compiled state).
Any help on these topics would be greatly appreciated.

I am unclear on what you are trying to accomplish here. As the previous poster mentioned, if you enable debugging when building your application, you can remotely connect and probe the block diagram of the running executable. Executables use the run-time engine but could also access drivers or other run-times if using a specialized toolkit/module. This all depends on your application.

How do I make it so that Firefox does NOT close my other windows when I open a Private Browsing window?

Whenever I open a Private Browsing window, it closes all of my non-private windows until I end the private session. Is there a setting or add-on that will make it so I can have both private and non-private windows open? Both Internet Explorer and Chrome allow you to do this and it is the only reason I'm not using Firefox.

That unfortunately is the way that Firefox works.
You could create a new Firefox profile, but it would have it's own set of bookmarks,
you could use a different browser for either half, but again it would not share you
bookmarks. Firefox has the best bookmarks, but I understand your situation.
Private browsing does not suit my usage because it turns off everything privacy related and I would not want to turn off bookmarking or lose my session data. I am the only user on my computer.

The application Contacts does not allow me to add a New Contact

After adding a New Contact I suddenly discovered that once closed and reopened the Contacts application did not retain it. I then repeated the procedure three times. Yes, I remembered to click on Done after completing the entry.

Thank you Barney-15E for your extremely prompt reply and CORRECT solution! I wasn't quite certain about the "syncing" factor, so, I did nothing there; however, when I went to "Application Support/AddressBook" I found three almost identical files:

I followed your instructions and deleted only the first which matched your suggestion, but I'm wondering what the other two are. By deleting the first item and then reopening Contacts, I was able to add a New Contact AND retain it!
All entries had been deleted, so of course, I simply imported the saved archive. I'm puzzled why it is that Apple uses the term "AddressBook" in Application Support when the application is now called "Contacts."

Firefox will not let me use any version over 3.5.14 it does not access any other web sites if I use any other version of firefox?

If I update firefox to the new version 18 and then try to use any websites that don't have anything to do with firefox it says "Problem loading screen" and it does the same with any version past 3.5.14 exept if I update to version 3.6.24 then all the screens are just white and at the bottom it says "Updating Add: Codec-V".

I stay in hotels alot and use my Airport Express to hard wire into hotel network. But hotels seem to have a sensor that will not allow any other device like my I-phone, I-pad to connect. Just one device and that's it. Is there a setting to cure this?

The problem is I cannot then hook up my Iphone or Ipad to the network. It seems the hotels have a sensor and only allow one device on their network at a time. Is there a setting in the setup of my Airport Express that might fix this problem?

If you have the AirPort Express setup in Bridge Mode, try changing the Connection Sharing setting to "Share a public IP address"

You will probably get a message about a Double NAT error. Click to "ignore"
This setting might allow mutliple devices to connect and may not. It's worth a try...I have about a 60-70% success rate at hotels with this setting.
Unfortunately, as you note....hotels have become a lot smarter about connections to their network. At some point, they probably will not even allow another router to connect at all.

[weblogic 8.1-sp4] taglibs not allowed any other place then under WEB-INF?

i pack my application as EAR with several skinny WARs + JAR libs under "lib" directory of EAR (and ofc WARs have their manifest adjusted to point to those). standard.jar is also there, no web.xml definition of the taglibs.
when i deploy the EAR, any of the JSPs throw famous IOException: "cannot resolve 'http://java.sun.com/jstl/core' into a valid tag library".
i dug a bit and saw people mention that TLDs are scanned for only when they are placed under WEB-INF of a WAR (hence you suck when your TLDs are somewhere else like "/lib" in my case) and classpath has nothing to do with that. is it true and what can be done to avoid it?

well placing 10 taglib definitions in each web.xml is imho a bad idea. as there's no real way to exclude all but certain JARs from a WAR using maven (the ideal solution i'd prefer), the solution i had to choose was to set maven-dependency-plugin up the way it would extract the TLDs from certain JARs and place it anywhere under WEB-INF of the WAR when it's assembled. the cons is that TLDs are duplicated, but on the other hand the configuration for that is minimal (which also seems important to me).
