My apps appear as trial versions

I used my promotional code to download CC apps but everytime I open one it says I have thirty days to try it and that I should license it. I tried going back to the creative.adobe.com/redeem page and put my code back in but it said that code had already been used. I don't know what to do about it or if this is supposed to be normal.

I see that you have a membership but it doesn't appear that you've activated it successfully yet. I suspect this is related to the apps running in a trial mode like you describe.

Do you get a Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Adobe License Management Server. message?
If something is blocking activation, the troubleshooting steps in this document might help, often a firewall or hosts file is the problem

    If you are getting the TRIAL option on the creative cloud website then follow the steps for section A.
    If you are getting the trial prompt when launching the installed application,  follow the steps on Section B.
    Section A (Applcations in trial mode in creative.adobe.com):
    1. Please make sure you are logged in with the active subscribed adobe id.
    2. Try to log out and log in back again.
    3. Try another borwser.
    4. Clear the cache and history of the browser reload it and then try logging again.
    Section B (Trial prompt when launching the installed application )
    Launch one of the problem Creative Cloud applications.
    On the Creative Cloud app trial screen, click License This Software.
    Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

    I am a creative cloud team member and attempting to use CC on my home computer as my second seat. The apps will only install as trial versions. I've tried the advice in the forums with no luck. I've tried chatting with a representative and they go through the same script, tell me they are transferring me to a technical person and then we get cut off. I've tried calling customer support and sat on hold for 40 minutes and finally gave up. I need to be able to work from home and I'm highly frustrated that there isn't more help to solve the problem. Please help!

    Yeah, the lack of a demo version is baffling. It's a rather huge investment, but then, I guess that the professionals who do purchase FCP are confident that they will learn how to use it.
    I'm just small fry. iMovie was okay but frustrating in some respects, so I wanted to try Final Cut. I ended up getting a copy of FCE through a retailer who had an exceptionally good deal. I played around with that long enough to discern that I did "get" it, and so eventually I took the plunge to FCP.
    That's what I recommend you trying. The place I got my copy of FCE was called megamacs.com (I am not associated with them, just a satisfied customer).

    I purchased the student version black Friday discount of a Creative Cloud subscription for $15.99/month and paid in full. I expected all of my apps to have the option to "Install" the CC versions of them (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) but instead it only offers me "Try" to complete a trial version. Shouldn't they automatically update to CC versions?

  • No 'apps' appearing on desktop version to download

    I downloaded the free trial for indesign last night and now that it is on my mac desktop it is showing the (continuing download circle) for over 10 hours when I click on the 'app' tab...it is not even showing me any programs to download.  I don't think my internet is too slow or anything and I have never had problems downloading anything on my laptop before.  I also don't have other programs open.  Not sure if i should delete the install and start over?  Any tips would be great to speed up the process.

    i'm sure others have this need, but i can't seem to find info on it. we are releasing an app in which we could make two versions one for free and one that costs money. thing is, we would need people with the free version to "upgrade" to the full version (i have to have access to the same app directory for all their saved application data).
    anyone know of a mechanism for this with the new app store?

    I installed the free version of Twitteriffic and I noticed something relevant to this discussion. In the Setup panel, there is a button for Twitteriffic Premium. This takes the user to Safari and a webpage where they inquire whether you want that product for the desktop of iPhone/iTouch. If you click on iPhone/iTouch, you are linked into the App Store application and taken to the Twitteriffic Premium entry for $9.99.
    That seems like a reasonable user workflow. Customers can buy the Premium application straight away as well directly through the store. This approach may not be reasonable for every application but it should work for quite a few.
    The idea of data migration for apps that use local storage isn't addressed by this, so I don't know if I would have to setup my Twitter profile again if I "upgrade" -- if you find this answer to this please do follow up.

  • I have full CC membership yet all CC apps are showing Trial versions

    I have been on Adobe Chat and trawled the forums, yet everything ive tried they are still showing as a trial. Any ideas?

    Have tried uninstalling CC and then reinstalling as recommended by web chat. Have tried changing language to international English which it already was. Tried reentering billing account. Apps show that my account is logged in. Somewhere along the line its not recognising my account as a full membership. If I try logging in through indesign for example it eventually leads to asking for a serial number

    It seems to be like Connectivity issue and that's why it is asking you to enter Serial no.
    Please check for Hosts File and see whether it has any Adobe Entries. If found then please edit the same.
    To access Hosts File you can navigate to this Folder.
    Windows: Click Start Go to Run Type (Drivers) then press Enter Open etc Folder Open the Hosts File using Notepad and edit it if found Adobe Entries.
    In Case if you are unable to Edit the Hosts File then you can run the Windows Fix it for Hosts File.
    You can download the same from this location. [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034] Mac: Click Go Go To Folder Type (Etc)
    Edit the Hosts File
    Try Activating the Software and it should work fine.
    Mac:
    Click Go/ Go to Folder/Type (etc) and look for Hosts file.
    You need to make the same necessary changes using Textedit.
    Please let me know if it works or not.

    When an application asks for a serial it means that the application can't see your subscription .Please verify this points :
    1 - Clean hosts file from Adobe entries ( Already checked ).
    2 - You're connected with a wrong email address .(verify this on CC desktop preferences menu .
    3 - Your opm file is corrupted > close CC desktop and delete opm.db from ( Don't let it on the trash )  :
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    4 - You bought a subscription for english only and you install it in another language ( you must have a multi language subscription in this case ).
    5 - You have an internet connection behind a proxy that blocks the applications ( If you don't have a proxy ,verify on your browser ( safari or IE ) and uncheck all proxy options )

    Viquig75856034 which application are you wishing to install?  If the computer does not meet the minimum system requirements then it will not be listed for installation.  You can find a list of the system requirements at System requirements | Creative Cloud.

    Companies that won't tell you how to uninstall their app should be horsewhipped. Anyway, launch Activity Monitor (it's in your Applications/Utilities folder), look for the Shortcuts process - you may have to select "All Processes" in the toolbar pulldown menu - highlight it and click the "Quit Process" button. You should then be able to delete the Shortcuts app and that should stop the nag. If not, post back and I'll dig further.

    Having used the trial version of Numbers and then purchasing the app, which has been installed, I can no longer save or print existing spreadsheets as I get a message to say the trial version has ended.  I have tried to register the purchased version but it requires a Marketing Part Number as part of the process which does not appear to be provided either with the app or with any separate e mail confirmingthe purchase.

    There are a number of paths from the trial to a functioning full version of iWork or the individual iWork applications.
    You can purchase a registration number, open one of the applications from the trail, then enter the number to activate the iWork applications and remove the trial restrictions.
    You can uninstall the trial, then reinstall iWork using the retail box version's installation disk.
    You can uninstall the trial, then install the individual applications purchased and downloaded from the Mac app store.
    The sticking point in the second and third path is "You can uninstall..."
    Uninstalling the iWork trial requires removing the iWork folder (and its contents) AND a number of support files created by the iWork applications from your hard drive.
    The most efficient way of doing that is to use an AppleScript written by Yvan Koenig, and available for download from Yvan's Box account. Click the link, then click for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip
    Unpack the .zip file, open the unpacked file in the Script editor, and click Run.
    Then reinstall iWork from the retail box disk, or download and reinstall the individual applications from the Mac app store.
