My apps don't go open

so please help me. i don't know what to do..

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

You will also notice that this is the correct answer in most cases.

yep, unfortunately can't reset without the passcode either.
With regards to doing a restore, do you mean:
open itunes on my computer
click on my device on the left
go to the device summary
click restore
it then asks if i want to back up before i restore (to which i say no)
then it asks me if i'm sure I want to restore to factory settings and that all of me media and data will be erased and replaced with the newest version ( to which I say yes)
then it takes about 90 mins to do this but when I look at my phone, everything is exactly the same.
Am I missing something? Obviously I'm technologically challenged, but I HAVE to get to the bottom of this!

Most native apps don't open?

Most of the Native OS X apps, like App Store and Sticky Notes, won't open. When I try to launch an app, the dock expands a little bit so the icon can pop in, but after that, the icon disappears immediately and the app won't start. Third party apps like Chrome and Photoshop run just fine.
It just started happening today. Yesterday I was still able to use the App Store to download Upgrades to OS X, iMovie, iPhoto and XCode. Today, the App store won't open anymore. What's also kind off strange, is that prior to restarting my Mac today, the Sticky Notes app worked just fine. Now, it won't open anymore.
Does anyone recognize this problem? I am using a 15" mid 2012 base model (8GB RAM 250GB storage) MacBook Pro with Retina Display, if that matters. I have been running OS X 10.9 Mavericks since yesterday.

We hope that you have already contacted support and the issues have been solved. In case you did not do it:
It looks like a compatibility issue between CleanMyMac Classic (1.10.8 and older) and Mavericks. The latest CMMC is able to detect that it is being opened on Mavericks and does not run. The team has concentrated its efforts on CMM2 since it is the latest version. Please update the app - it is perfectly competitable with Mavericks.

I used CCC to clone 10.6.8 then onto new drive. Everything works BUT all Mac apps.
Error: You can't open the app(s) because it is not supported on this type of Mac. (On MacBook 2011)

All good. Just drag and dropped each application and they worked until I did a restart. Then repaired permissions and everything works.

What exact behaviors are you seeing when you attempt to open the apps? Do they bounce in the Dock at all, or only bounce once, or do you see any errors or warnings pop up?

Why do iBooks and Kindle apps close when I open new ebooks?

I downloaded 2 new ebooks and they don't stay open in iBooks, Kindle app, or Safari. They immediately close. When OS 7 upgraded I lost most of my eBooks. Now the new ones won't stay open for more than a few seconds. The books are PDF files 24,000K and are not compressed. Many thanks!

Try force quitting them. Double tap the home button. You'll see the app icons and little preview windows line up. Flick those previews up and off the screen to force close the app. Close as many or as few as you want.
Single tap the home button or tap on the main page preview to exit the mode. See if that helps.

Transaction processor error

Transaction process".
Details are as follows:
Transaction is Done on 30-NOV-2009.
Source Org Period is open on 30-NOV-2009
Destination Org Period is closed on 30-NOV-2009.
Due to destination Org is closed, this transactions stuck in interface.
I have opened the Cost Periods (DEC Month) for both Source and Destination Org, and resubmitted all lines after updating Transaction date to 01-DEC-2009. Still transaction could not go through.
How should I handle this error?

You don't need to.
The "task bar" that Demo mentions above is not, in fact, a task bar at all - it is the Recently Used Apps list. Not all of the apps in this list are open, running or in memory.
iOS automatically handles closing apps that are not in use, so you don't have to manually manage them.

If they are PowerPC apps then they are not compatible, they need to be upgraded or replaced. If you don't know if it's a PPC based app or not open System Information (Applications - Utilities - System Information) click Applications in the left pane - look under Kind. If it says PPC then you know.
