My apps is stuck on "waiting" after i did restore - i have ios7

what shuoud i do

What I did to fix it was deleting the app and reinstalling it through itunes. In order to delete it through itunes, you need to plugin your phone into the computer you're running and then you need to delete the app by clicking the remove button next to the app. Afterwards, you should turn on your device and then delete the ghost copy of the app. Once you've done all of that, just reinstall the app again. I used itunes to reinstall the app just in case it happens again and I need to redo the whole process. I'd rather not redownload the whole app again when it's already on my computer.
P.S. You should deffinitely save your files for the app just in case it deletes everything once you reinstall the app. I used iExplorer for this, or you could use another app that would allow you to copy your saves onto your computer.

  • My apps are stuck on "Waiting..." when they have been downloaded after iCloud backup restore

My apps were downloaded from my iCloud backup after restoring and updating to iOS 7 and it didn't work quite good. Many apps got stuck "Waiting...", but they're not downloading at all. I can access them through the app store purchased apps section or through multitasking. They work perfectly but the icon doesn't. I tried to delete them, re-download them, I tapped the app icon and nothing worked. What can I do?

By the way, I've tried to sync it again with iTunes and it doesn't sync the "Waiting..." apps. Every time I plug my iPhone and try to check its apps, iTunes stops working for some unknown reason. I forgot to mention that it's an iPhone 4S. Can anyone please help me? This is getting pretty annoying, considering WhatsApp is among these damaged apps and I use it quite a lot.

  • Apps stuck in waiting after updating on iOS 7.0.2

Since i updated my iPad 2 to iOS 7.0.2 i have this persistent problem, I tried everything to make it normal but it never happens.
After i update an App on my iPad throught the AppStore on the iPad this problem occurs.
    1. Eventhough the update is complete the app gets stuck in "waiting... " state
    2. However the App opens through the AppStore on the iPad
Above are few of the apps stuck in waiting and they have a Open button adjacent to them.
Notice that iBooks is on waiting... however i can open it through the app store.
    and use it normally.
Only solution which works as of now is to delete the apps from settings on the iPad and install them again from the Appstore, but then i'd loose all the data i previously have.
I have no Idea why this is happening. I cannot open the stuck apps directly by taping them i have to go through the AppStore. Please help.
PS: You cannot uninstall app by long tapping it because the X mark does not appear on the app.

    Try a reset ...
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • HT4623 After requesting updates for several apps on my ipad 2, yesterday, the screen image of the app continues to say "waiting." Each app is stuck in waiting mode. help

Yesterday, I was updating several apps in the app updates section in the app store icon. I requested update for Facebook and two other apps. Now those apps are stuck or frozen. Under the icon on the screen it says, "waiting." On the store app page screen, it says, "instaling." I cannot get into either of those apps. What do I need to do to unfreeze my facebook and the other app? Thanks, gracefromok

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • TS1702 most of my apps are stuck on 'waiting' have tried everything possible from trying to delete them and re-booting ipad, nothing seems to work...is there a solution to this problem which seems that quite a few users seem to have....

most of my apps are stuck on 'waiting' have tried everything possible from what I read however nothing seems to work for me, does anyone know the right way PLEASE as it's very annoying....

When I open emails with PDFs I click on the attachment (doing this all on my iPad) it gives me the option to "open in iBooks", I accept then after that the document is sucked into my iPad but I can't do anything with the PDF after that.  Where is the actual file on my iPad? Why can't I email or send these PDFs to my cloud (Dropbox)?
It's like once they go into iBooks they're stuck forever.

  • App install stuck between waiting/installing

    Hi All,
iPad3 (Retina) with 3G (64gb), I tried to install an app and it got stuck on waiting, after investigating I'd found it was because my iTunes account had an expired card on it so I've fixed that.
The app is currently on my 09 MBP ready to sync. When I tick the app and sync it, it says 'installing' and the blue bar works its way across, then it goes back to "installing" with the blue bar blank.
I untick it and it won't remove it, it just sits at "Waiting".
    ** Things I've tried **
    - Add/Remove the app via Sync
    - Sign in/out of iTunes
    - Hard reset
    - Settings > Reset > All
    - Sign out of iTunes, Airplane On, Reboot, Airplane Off, Sign in.
I'm out of options short of a full factory restore which seems extreme for one tiny app.
    Any help would be appriciated.

    Try a System Reset:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also, you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 162. Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1 with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the hardware.
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad
Finally, the User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

  • App upgrades stuck on waiting

Has anyone found a way to unfreeze apps stuck on 'waiting' when trying to upgrade. All my upgrading apps are stuck on waiting. :(

    1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
    2. Connect iTune; and Check for available download (under Store). When download is completed, sync to iPad.

  • Apps stuck at waiting after upgrade

When I try installing a new app after upgrading to iOS 6.1 it gets stuck at waiting! It doesn't load and can not be paused. Pliz help

  • An app is stuck in "waiting" even after it's been downloaded. How do I get it to stop? iOS7

So I got my new iPhone 5s today, and everything was working fine until after an hour of playing the game injustice. For some reason, the app went from already downloaded to "waiting" on my screen. I have tried to delete the app, but there is no x button that appears for it. I also went back to the App Store to see if it was installing, but instead of showing something that says it's downloading, it says I can open the app instead. So my question is how do I get the app to become unfrozen in the "waiting" state? I can't open the app by pressing on it. I've also tried to restart my phone in order to "fix" the problem, but that didn't do anything. Thanks in advance to whoever can help me fix this problem.

Well I seemed to have fixed the problem by deleting the app through itunes. Afterwards I unlocked my phone to delete the "ghost" copy of the app on my phone. Afterwards I ended up redownloading the app through itunes. The only problem with that was that it deleted all my saves, but fortunately I saved an earlier save on my computer and didn't have to restart from the very beginning. I used iExplorer to save all my files onto my computer.

  • Mac App Store stuck on "Waiting to install"?

Whenever I try to update or install a new app from the App store, it downloads fine but then gets stuck at the "Waiting to install" stage. I have tried rebooting my system, quitting and reopening the App Store, quitting the App store and killing the storeagent process via Activity Monitor and then restarting the App store...nothing has worked. I've included an image of what the issue looks like, this is the Purchased section of the App Store. The screenshot was taken after it had been sitting at that point for over an hour. Any suggestions?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).

  • Why are my apps are stuck on waiting?

i was trying to update twitter and instagram and then they both got stuck on waiting! ive already restarted my settings, turned my phone off then back on, signed in and out of my apple id, ive held down the sleep and home button to restart my phone or whatever and the apps are still stuck on waiting. im trying to stay away from restarting my entire phone but thats what the conclusion is coming to for me. Someone please help me find a resolution to my problem!!!!????

I know you didn't want this answer but unfortunately if you have tried everything.
It is time to restore your phone.
However, you can back up your phone to iCloud and then after the full restore, when it asks how you want to set up your phone, choose, "Restore from iCloud Backup." Those may not be the exact words it says but it is close to that.
Once you restore from iCloud backup, all your apps and settings should be downloaded to your phone.
