My apps keep failing

I have a new HP amd I installed some apps for windows 8.1 which where working fine till today.  Now it just says " Something is blocking the apps".  I tried turning off the firewall but it still wont work.
Any suggestions???

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP 15-g094sa Notebook and issues with the apps you have installed. Did you install some sort of Virus Protection?
The best thing to do with apps is to Disable them then enable them.  If that does not help here is a document on troubleshooting apps.

  • Access to web or phone app keeps failing

    This probably the tenth time since Digital Life was installed in March that the apps and web access keep losing contact because AT&Ts servers go down. I thought this was a reliable service so sometimes I take a walk without varying keys or garage remote.
    So I get back and I can't open the app (7/12/15 10:00 am PST). I call the Digital Life 24 he hotline and wait for over 45 minutes. They can't even do anything to let me in or get access.
    What accountability does AT&T have besides apologizing repeatedly? I had important things to do than wait outside my house 3 hours for the server to reset.

    Thanks, i already have the emulation mode in Microsoft IE... but it doesn't work... it is kind of tricky, the blackberry is on the network, it has an ip address from the network, it access the internet and BES via the wireless network, but cannot access any webserver within the network... Does someone have any ideas?

  • Apps keeping failing

    I have started to have a problem with my apps.  For example, I will start Safari, start a search and the app will stop and go back to the main screen. Then I have to start all over again. The search will need to be re-entered. It also happens at intermittently, I can use an app for a while and everything works fine, but eventually the app will die/stop/end/close and I'm back at the main screen.
    Any ideas of what's wrong and how to fix it?

    - First try resetting the iPod.  Nothing should be lost.
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
    - Then restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod since you may have some corruption that is now in your backup.

  • IPhone 5 apps keeps crashing after 7.1 update

    I've updated my iPhone 5 to latest release yesterday.
    Since then whenever I open Facebook, it closes streight away, the same is for majority of apps.
    When I receive a phone call, it crashes after about 1-2 minutes.
    I've tried soft reset (holding power+home) hoping that will clean up some mess after update, but everything still keeps crashing.
    Any help on how to fix this, or if not, how can I downgrade back to previous version?

    I have hit the same issue..
    I updated to 7.1 a couple of days ago and my Iphone 5 hasnt stopped crashing since. I have soft reset it many times, only to find that it keeps failing in opening up unless I leave it for an hour at least.
    Last night I linked it up on my mac and tried restore to factory settings, knowing I have a backup from before my upgrade.
    But it failed the restore first with error 2006 and after update of Itunes security settings, with error 9.
    Now the phone wont start and I cant get it to finish restore either - any advise?

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the iPhone 3GS can only be updated as far as 4.2.1
    Requirements for WhatsApp are iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
    As noted here >  WhatsApp Messenger for iPhone on the iTunes App Store
    So that app cannot run on the iPhone 3GS.
    I stand corrected but apparently you may not be able to update the device regardless.

  • Content Viewer: Folio Download Keeps Failing

    We keep having a problem with downloading an app in the Content Viewer. We have many apps in there, and in this particular case it keeps giving us a download error typically right on the 50.0MB mark (of a 460MB folio). For this app we have an English and French version, but while the works fine this other one keeps failing every single time.
    I've tried downloading it at different locations because we've experienced errors in the past with Wi-Fi settings screwing it up ... but to no avail. I just can't seem to solve it this time. All of our other apps still download and update fine but just this one will never work. It reaches that same point in the transfer, times out, then fails.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a resolution? Thanks for reading.

    Same size (1024x768) but different folio names, like FOLIONAME and FOLIONAME_FR. We have several projects like this where one is English and there is another French version as a separate folio. In the past this project was working fine but we recently added a bunch of new videos to each folio but since that time the error started happening. It added a fair bit of file size to everything but only the one article in each folio changed.
    Edit: I also tried deleting the recently updated article and adding it again. Nada.

    Before embarking on a major OS upgrade, it would be wise, advisable and very prudent if you backup your current system to an external connected and Mac formatted Flash drive OR externally connected USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then, use either OS X Time Machine app to backup your entire system to the external drive OR purchase, install and use a data cloning app, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, to make an exact and bootable copy (clone) of your entire Mac's internal hard drive. This step is really needed in case something goes wrong with the install of the new OS or you simply do not like the new OS, you have a very easy way/procedure to return your Mac to its former working state.
    Then, determine if your Mac meets ALL minimum system install requirements.
    To install OS X  10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks (free upgrade, but currently unavailable) or OS X 10.10 Yosemite (currently available free upgrade) you need one of these Macs:

    If you run any older Mac software from the earlier PowerPC Macs, then none of this software will work with the newer OS X versions (10.7 and onward). OS X Snow Leopard had a magical and invisible PowerPC emulation application, called Rosetta, that worked seamlessly in the background that still allowed older PowerPC coded software to still operate in a Intel CPU Mac.
    The use of Rosetta ended with OS X Snow Leopard as the Rosetta application was licensed to Apple, from a software company called Transitive, which got bought out, I believe, by IBM and Appe  could no longer secure their rights to continue to use Rosetta in later versions of OS X.
    So, you would need to check to see if you have software on your Mac that maybe older than, say, 2006 or older.

    If you have any commercial antivirus installed and/or hard drive cleaning apps installed on your Mac, like MacKeeper, CleanMyMac, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse, etc. now would be a good time to completely uninstall this apps by doing a Google search to learn how to properly uninstall these types of apps.
    These types of apps will only cause your Mac issues later after the install of the new OS X version and you will have to completely uninstall these types of apps later.
    Once you have determined all of this, you should be able to find the latest versions of OS X by clicking on the Mac App Store icon in the OS X Dock and then login to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID and password and if you purchased a download code, input that code.
    You can then begin the download and installation process of installing the newer versions of OS X from the Mac App Store.

  • Creative Cloud desktop update keeps failed to install

    I try to update the creative cloud desktop but, it keep failed to in still

    Tried all solutions referred here and in other threads: (1) downloading tne installer from CC download area, (2) changing the name of given folders, (3) uninstalling CC desktop, (4) removing residual data with CC cleaner tool, and (5) changing user privileges in Application support folder.
    None worked.
    I also analysed the error log. It shows the error "DW040", which only reference in knowledge base points to an issue with third-part programming to CS. After using the Cleaner tool, I found another log reporting "AAM installation ended with return code 251", but again the knowledge base knows nothing about it.
    So we are going to the sixth day of problem without a solution. I cannot install other apps from my subscription without CC desktop app, although I am paying the whole price (just installed PS, MU and ID). Adobe is forcing me to lost several hours just trying solutions –and the same is going with many other users – besides not being able to use what I paid for.
    I would expect a new CC desktop version to address these issues, but even this is quite uncertain. After searching in forum and knowledge base, I found several references to similar installation errors with CS6. Since then, Adobe not only was unable to fix this issue but also released a new package (CC) with tons of marketing investment but without equivalent attention to user support and app testing.
    Very very frustrating.

    Shut down your computer and restart it. Without opening any other programs, try downloading with the CC desktop app again. If that fails, sign out of the app, restart your computer, sign in and try again.

    However, the version came with no Design Tab in the code/split/design/design toolbar
    During my efforts to establish the Design Tab I have now lost the entire bar

    If you look at the install fail log , then it is written

    The payload is for the Illustrator CS6 Core 16.0.0.0 , hence it is not for the update but the core installation of the Illustrator.
    The reason of the fail is at the time of installation the installor was unable to preserve the original file at "/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS6/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/Frameworks/AdobeCrashReporter.framework/Adob eCrashReporter" ,
    So , on running the Cleaner tool , the "Illustrator.app" got deleted and on re-running the installation , it worked because a fresh illustrator.app was written.
