My apps say download under update

On my iPad in the app store app under updates I have a bunch of apps that say download next to them. none say update. I have tried to click download and they will show its downloading and finishes but it pops back up with the download button again. Thanks

There are a couple things that I would recommend trying. Try forcing all applications to close and restart the device. Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below. If the issue persists, makes sure your iOS device is updated to the most current version.

App Catalog Won't Update Apps Says "Download Failed"

The app catalog on my palm pre will not update my apps. I can download new apps but I cannot update my other apps that need updating. I have tried resetting to factory settings but that didn't fix it. This problem is similar to the issue from 2010 where people where having trouble with updating and downloading apps.

unfortunatly my iphone 4 is brocken and i can't remmember what i excactly did to fix that problem but all i can think about if the application's size you want to update is small you can delete it and then download it again ..sorry, maybe someone else could help you

App says "downloaded" but I don't have it

somehow I accidentally deleted a free app that I had on my iPod (NY Times) and I can't "purchase" it now from the app store; where all the other apps either say FREE or have a price, it now says DOWNLOADED, and nothing happens when I click on it. I would like to get it back. What am I doing wrong?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Download on computer and then sync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Why does my CC APPS says DOWNLOAD ERROR?

I just reactivate my CC account since that nasty payment problem with Adobe , but after updating the CC widget in my mac I just noticed that the APPS tab shows an error , so I can not download or update any software. And when I clic the Download button sends me to a 404 NOT FOUND ADOBE PAGE. Please your help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Just figured it out -- turn phone off and back on -- yeah! I'm back in business....

TS1702 Numerous new apps (including download of updates on existing apps) is frozen (for several days). I have tried to delete the downloads........however to no avail.........several of the downloads are for previously purchased apps.......please help!!

So I reinstalled OS X Mavericks and that fixed the problem.

HT4208 I tried to update apps, now I can not get any apps to download or update. I've tried recommendations above, any other suggestions? My Kindle was one of the apps I tried to update and now I can't even get into Kindle to read anything. Help

Please help, I updated some apps, I pressed update all, now I can not open or use those apps, they just say waiting. I have deleted some and tried to download again with no success, also tried to download different app with no success.

1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
2. Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

Why are my Apps not downloading since update on iPad Air?

I have the Air, my first iPad. It froze after an update just a week or so after getting it so after checking these discussions I had to reset through iTunes but ever since then I can't download any apps - they just sit with the circle and say 'waiting'. Any ideas?

my iPod wont download apps because it says it update required but I go on my computer and it says that it currently has the newest software. How can I make is so I can dowload apps? It has iso 4.2.1 but it wont let me update it. I going on a trip and want apps but I can't download them.

Why do songs and apps not download or update on iPhone 4 with iOS 5?

After updating my son's phone to iOS5 his apps will not update via WiFi and his purchased album from iTunes on the phone will not download.

It is iOS 6, not 5.

Heytell app saying installed under App store but not in Iphone

Hi all,
I am trying to get the Heytell app to work on my phone but under the App store it is saying it is installed, but i cant seem to find it anywhere on my phone? Has anyone else had this problem and worked out why or how i can fix this.

It may be hiding in a folder somewhere - if you have any folders for "Social Networking," you may want to look inside to see if it's there. Alternatively, you can swipe right across your screen until you see a "Search" field - type HeyTell in the field and, if it is installed, it should appear below the field - tap the name to open.
