• Apps stuck in install?

I get notified of apps to be updated often. Some of these updates stall and do not continue. They continued the install even if other apps that are later available update perfectly. I am referring to the iPhone.

There are reports from other users regarding iOS update issues > Apps update not working. Was before but...: Apple Support Communities
Try again later today or tomorrow.

• HT1977 app is stuck on installing

apps stuck on installing abouty 15 during an upated, any anwser on how to get them to finish?

Does tapping on it remove it from waiting?
If you sync with iTunes on your computer, you can also connect it and sync it to push it to go through. If that fails, you might be able to try and delete the app stuck in waiting, and re download it and sign in again.

What in particular didn't you like about Firefox 6?
You can undo a lot of changes, either via changing settings or prefs on the about:config page or via extensions.

Do a clean reinstall of the version that you want to use.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

• IOS apps often get "stuck" while installing- fix?

Summary: When downloading an app it will sometimes get "stuck" on the last step of installation. The progress bar is complete, but it says "Installing" for a long time after that, often requiring the device to be restarted.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download or update an app from the App Store. (The Target app for iPhone is one I've had this problem with, though it doesn't seem to be app-specific.)
2. Wait for it to install.
Expected Results: The app should finish installing shortly after the progress bar is full.
Actual Results: Sometimes it continues to say "Installing" long after the progress bar is complete. I've had it stay this way for as long as 15 minutes before giving up and restarting the device. As soon as I restart, the app is installed, though usually in a different location than it was previously. Other times the install will successfully complete after simply waiting a few minutes—longer than normal but with no extra action required.
Regression: I first noticed this problem recently in iOS 4.3, though another user told me it happened in 4.2.1 for them. This makes me wonder if it's related to a recent App Store change, rather than a change in iOS itself.
Notes: I haven't found a way to reproduce the problem reliably, but I've had it happen quite a few times
Anyone else?

your problem is not very unusual... I also faced the similar situation cpl of times when Oracle was not able to continue the installation coz the Immediate Shutdown was failed. Actually During the installation, Oracle mounts/opens the database and shuts it down many times and few times, Oracle is unable to shutdown cleanly as some process is hanging or not responding.
Piece of advise is that always use staging area to install Apps as it takes long time on Win2K (anything between 4-12 hrs) to install it and CDROM Access is lot slower than HDD. Also, it will prompt u every time to insert tbe CD. All this hassle can be bypassed by using the staging area. Read the Installation help document on how to create it.
For failure reasons, look in ur installation log file which is created in the default Temp folder usually C:\documents and settings\USERNAME\local settings\temp for WinXP or C:\winnt\documents and settings\USERNAME\local settings\temp for Win2K.
post or email me at [email protected] or [email protected] for further help/details.

• App updates are stuck on installing, won't update

I have 10 apps to update. They are all stuck on installing. Have rebooted, doesn't do anything. I can't use the apps either. any suggestions?

Make sure you are getting a good internet connection.
Double-tap the Home button (bottom center of the iPhone), to get the current open Apps. Press and hold on one till they start "shivering" and you get the red "-" sign on them.
Such the "-" on the ones you are having troubles with to close them. And press the Home button again to exit the "shiver mode".
Then reset your iPhone (Press and hold the Home and Sleep (Shut Down) buttons at the same tim, till you get the Apple logo). This will not cause any data loss.
When it has finished restarting, open the Apps you were having troubles with. The iPhone should recognize an incompleted upgrade and restart the download/upgrade.
Good luck.

• Hi tried to update several apps at once no they are stuck on installing.i can't delete them or open them.any suggestions?

Hi tried to update several apps at once and now they are stuck on installing.I can't open or delete them. Any suggestions ?

Here are a number of things that have worked in the past that you can try. If you already tried something in here, just ignore it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

• New apps stuck on wait/loading/installing

hi, I just tried to download the "Bloomberg" application via 3G/Edge.
icon is stuck on "Installing" but nothing is happening since 20 minutes. thinking it was something messed up I tried to download another app and now this too is stuck on "Loading". I tried to reboot the phone but nothing has changed. if I go to store it says "installed", clicking on icon nothing happens as well.
problem is that I can't delete these icons because "X" won't appears on them.
this problem happened after I updated to 2.2.
anyone has a solution, beside restoring?
tnx.

I am having the same issue. As a temporary fix... Delete the troubling apps from your applications in itunes. Plug into iTunes, go into the application tab of your phone's and uncheck the check boxes next to the apps that are causing you issues. Now sync. Now the app should be removed and you can try to redownload it. Make sure you are on a good quick wifi - I feel like my problems only occur when I'm not connected to a reliable wifi

• App purchases stuck on installing

This has been puzzling me for a few days now. Every time i download something from the App Store whether update or new app it's stuck on installing. I keep killing the storeagent process clearning the caches and the updates folder. Sometimes that works ok but most of the times i have to hard reset the computer as i can't even shut it down. Whenever i try and shut down i get a message that the shutdown was cancelled as an app is installing.... I keep waiting and nothing.
This happened with the iLife apps and XCode. It's very recent, about 2-3 weeks now that i am trying to update and i keep force quiting everything.
OH, and when that does happen the fans start going crazy and in the Activity Monitor i see my zsh prcess going to 100% cpu util.
Anyone know why this may be happenning? Or a possible solution for this? I don't want to re-install everything..
Thanks!

Hey. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a go if it carries on happening.
For now I managed to solve the problem late last night, by removing and re-installing XCode.
At least it seems to be working fine now.
Before re-installing i deleted the directories com.apple.appstore and com.apple.storeagent in $TMPDIR../C and $TMPDIR../T
Then i also emptied the following directories:
rm -rf /private/var/folders/dw/w3mz6fc50z2r4qf72g79j9h0x00gn/C/com.apple.appstore
rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
After that i re-installed XCode and it finished fine.
Either way it does seem to be ZSH that's causing the problem. That's sad cause it just started happening. Not to mention i like ZSH and don't want to switch back to Bash.
Did you try the default ZSH?

Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then update your apps one at a time. Do not start the next app until the current one downloads and finishes installing.

• Hello I upgraed my iphone to ios 7 but its dosent work like app stor dosent install any brogram or update programs and its slow and stuck plz help me

Hello
I upgraed my iphone to ios 7 but its dosent work like app stor dosent install any brogram or update programs and its slow and stuck plz help me

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.
