My arrow cursor stopped working it is frozen and I can't save my file

MMy cursor arrow became a line with a v at top and bottom and does not let me click to save or get out of my word doc. I use the mouse pad and it moves this new symbol but does not engage. How do,I save my file and close it.

i have similar problem -cursor moves to desired position but nothing happens when I click on it; I have to turn off by keyboard short cut and then restart. ON restart it works fine.

My CS4 Licensing has stopped working, Error 150:30 and I can't reinstall as my disc is currently unaccessible.

I can't gain access to my install discs and I have tried all the other suggestions for fixing this problem, so I'm thinking reinstallation is the only way.
I have access to my serial number but I can't find anywhere that offers a download of CS4 as it's a bit older.

Right shift and arrow up stop working

hi all,
I own apple aluminium usb keyboard with numkeys. Yesterday I leave my computer (I use mac book pro) and my external keyboard was working. Today morning I come to computer, and right shift and arrow up stops working. I checked how to clean keyboard (I remove up arrow and clean it), but nothing helps. It seems as hardware problem (oh yes, I restarted computer, and also tried kb in other computer).
Anybody knows how are keys connected, my question is, if right shift and up arrow are on the same cable. Is there way how to dissasemble this keyboard and fix it ? I am out of warranty and I really need these 2 keys.

JrabiAre u sure u want to use the shift key and not the ctrl key.
Also ensure that the JList selectionModel is set up for multiple selection and not single selection
eg.
m_list.setSelectionMode(ListSelectionModel.MULTIPLE_INTERVAL_SELECTION);
where mylist is a JList;

Arrow keys stop working?

I've seen multiple posts recently about arrow keys stop working. This just happend to me however i found the solution.
Hold down all four (4) arrow keys and a menu will pop up.
Then select charcters by clicking (i believe) the right arrow.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. I use the latest releases of Firefox as they become available on a Windows 8 PC. Firefox works properly, usually for a few hours, before annoying problems manifest. The problem I'm addressing here is some widgets, including some Firefox widgets and isolated widgets (such as buttons and pull-down selectors) in some websites stop working. In Firefox, the Menu button (the three stacked dashes icon) stops working. And the Download arrow sometimes stops working also. Sometimes, sub-items such as Print stop working. For some pull-downs, the up and down arrow keys might still work even though I might now be able to select with the mouse. Closing and reopening Firefox usually restores some functionality. However, I usually have to reboot the PC to restore all functions which stopped working. Then I am good for usually a few hours again. Another annoyance, which others have addressed, is the eventual appearance of Chinese-looking characters on the tab labels bar across the top. Restarting Firefox gets rid of these for the time being. the oriental characters are a displaying flaw caused by the mcafee site advisor extension - please try to disable or remove that in case you have it present until there is an update by mcafee that can fix the problem.

More than likely its a hardware issue, I have never encountered such a problem and best bet is to just go get it replaced. If you have insurance on your device apple will replace it as long as there was no water damage, if you dont have insurance they will charge $200 more or less. Hope you get it fixed

Are you not able to launch and PDF' or getting some error message ?
You can log in to Adobe.com with your credentials .If you do not have any prior credentials ,you need to create an account .Adobe.com will either let you purchase the product or opt for a trial version.

Have you tried a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release?
