My ATV will no longer stay connected to WiFi. Every time I want to use it I have to setup the WiFi from scratch!!!
My ATV will no longer stay connected to my home WiFi network. Every single time I want to use it I need to set up WiFi from scratch all over again. I'm considering dumping it as my Roku box has no issues. I'm an Apple loyalist though and want the ATV for playing my large music collection.
Any suggestions?
It's a 1G ATV, 160Gig.
The wireless is an Access Point w/WPA encryption and all DHCP is done by a remote wired router in a closet. Resetting each has had no effect on it. I don't see a setting anywhere on my ATV that I can change to turn off periodic standby mode.
I actually replaced an Airport Extreme w/ this D Link AP & it's worked great for every other device. I had the exact same issue with the Airport Extreme although it seems like after the latest ATV SW upgrade, it does it every day. Previously it would only do it occasionally.

Is your Wi-Fi network appearing in the "Choose a Network" section under Settings > Wi-Fi? If not, please see the following article for troubleshooting steps:

My iPod Touch will no longer stay connected to the internet
Right before updating to iOS 6, I was using FaceTime and other various apps that require an internet connection, and they all worked just fine.
After updating to iOS 6, I noticed that things took a much longer time to load, such as Facebook. I then noticed that FaceTime was now extremely laggy, and often disconnected within 30 seconds (note that both sides are using wi-fi, not data plan). Now my iPod won't even stay connected to the internet, it keeps automatically disconnecting itself when I try to use FaceTime and tells me to "Log in" whenever I try to re-connect, only to send me to an apple site that says my search could not be found?Though I'm not sure what that does, it was off o.O I turned it to auto, I am now able to use FaceTime but my App Store won't load any Categories, let's just hope Apple get's this sortded out soon.

Occaisionally I hit connect on my 2007 Prius and it connects. Sometimes on the iPhone4 General-BT i can hit connect and it connects. But mostly i have to delete the existence of my iphone to my car and re-pair it. Plus it rarely autoconnects except when i am testing it over and over. Leave the car and it will never autoconnect again. Its become an unintended consequence of my iPhone and truly a hazard when i forget to arrange it before getting started on a drive. Mac store says its my prius and toyota says its my phone. Any hints greatly appreciated.
Talk to Toyota. The fault is in their in-car system. Talk to Toyota corporate. The dealers are clueless. Your system needs to be updated.

I was reading email.... and got a worm... avg and malware got it... I called microsoft and they also finished cleaning up the mess from the worm... But now the laptop will not hold the internet signal for more than a minute or two before it disconnects and i have to restart it.....What can i do

try a reset of iPhone and then a restore,best, as new and if it then functions correctly try restoring with your backup -
I started working for ChaCha 11/26/2010, I had to download a program to take incoming questions.
Ever since then, Firefox will not work correctly, even if I am totally logged out of ChaCha, and the page is closed, if I try to open my browser using Firefox, it will not open, I have to go into the processor tree and manually end Firefox, then it will work, but it will only let me open 1 page at a time. For example I have Firefox open now, but if I go and click on the icon to open it in a new browser, it will not open, I either have to close this, or use IE-I HATE IE lol.
I cannot use the ChaCha add on you have because it is not for the new version of Firefox, please help, I love Firefox, but not being able to open more than one window/page at a time does not cut it, nor does having to manually stop it from processing. I have tried re-installing it too.

My iPhone 4 no longer stays connected to wifi.
I have to manually connect to all networks (previously known ones) and even that won't work. I'm having to turning my phone off and turn it back on. That works....for a bit. It's getting annoying. It's not my router (everything else works fine on it) and it's every network, even the ones at work. My phone randomly switches from wifi to 3G

Why will my iPhone no longer allow me to connect to multiple wi-fi, i have reset network setting and tried turning phone off and on?
Found this & it worked... at least to get my Wi-Fi no longer greyed out:
Settings > Airplane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power on
Settings > Airplane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
Now if only my phone would find my Wi-Fi network & connect to it.... -
My IPOD classic 6 will no longer stay in sleep mode. It's less than 2 years old
My IPOD classic 6th generation will no longer stay in sleep mode and it is less then 2 years old. It is running the battery down because of this. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? I have use the hold button when I put it in sleep mode. I have already restored my IPOD and that only worked temporarily. I've charged my battery fully and synced my IPOD and reset to the original settings my IPOD, but none of them worked.
Reset your iPod.
Turn the Hold switch on, then off again and then press-and-hold the Menu and Select (centre) buttons at the same time for at least ten seconds. During this time, you should see the Apple logo appear on the iPod. After a while (it could take up to four minutes) the iPod should display the Main Menu screen and it will be ready to go.
Then see if the iPod sleeps correctly. If it doesn't, you may need to Restore the iPod. To do that, connect it to your iTunes Library and by looking at the iPod through iTunes, you will see the Restore button.
Be aware that a Restore will remove all the content from your iPod and (if you if you use Sync to manage your iPod) put back only what is in your Library. If you use Manually Manage, then you will have to manually add back everything that you want to be on the iPod.
If neither of these steps cures the issue, that may suggest a hardware problem. -

All you have to do is browse to iCloud on your computer, click devices, then the X next to your devices name. -
iPad 3 and iPhone 5 will not stay connected to wifi although I am close to router and have strong signal. I have to keep joining the network or restarting devices or forgetting network and rejoining it. As a side note my 1st gen iPhone which I upgraded to iPhone 5 yesterday always stayed connected!
The steps to try would be to:
1. Restore the iPhone to Factory.
2. If that does not solve the problem replace the iPhone.
If Verizon is offering to replace the iPhone for free under warranty I would go with that option. -

Can't we support the existing "last 1k photos will be available in the cloud" model? If we don't do this, won't this kill auto-sync of new photos from iOS devices to our libraries on our Macs (if the Mac's Photos app has auto syncing with the cloud turned on) once we go over our 5gb limit? I have 350GB of photos in my Mac Photos library - I am not going to pay $20/month for 1tb iCloud storage. Please advise, Apple. Thank you.
I agree and am baffled by this also. At first I was really excite about this new feature. Mostly because I would be able to seamlessly sync videos along with my PhotoStream. I just assumed there would be some systematic way to handle large libraries. Like removing older files as the current PhotoStream does. However, it appears that this new feature will simply 'shut down' when you reach your storage limit. This just makes no sense to me. I would have to double check, but I have all my photos and videos in iPhoto and stored on a 3 TB external hard drive and I think the full library is over 1 TB. So, even if I was willing to pay $20 a month for photo syncing (which I am not) I couldn't do it because my library is too large. Again I am just baffled why Apple cannot blend this new service with the existing PhotoSteam model. My favorite aspect of PhotoSteam is that is uploads all my iPad and iPhone Photos to my Mac for permanent storage and it seems this is lost in the new version.
