My audiobook download doesn't play.

Bought War and Peace and listened to the first couple hours, and now pressing the play button has no effect. I quit the Music app on my iPad and tried again, but it still doesn't play. Any ideas?

I have had a similar problem with the Steve jobs audiobook.... I've removed it and tried to reintall it and iTunes wants to charge me again !!!!! £10.95 wasted...

    If anyone can offer advice it would be great - iTunes 9.2 on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.4. I purchased Iron Man: Extremis motion comic and the 6th episode will not play. No video or audio. So I tried to report the problem as stated in the support docs (Store menu -> View my Account -> Purchase History ->Report Problem -> click the Report a problem link on the item that doesn't work).
    The problem is that instead of getting the form to report the issue iTunes just opens my browser to the iTunes support page. I never get the form to fill out. How the can I report an issue with this behaviour preventing me from ever seeing the form.
    Anyone suggest what I should do next? Thanks!

    On the itunes support page and select the heading that most fits you situation until you see the "E-mail us" button.

    Does the film show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page for re-downloading ? If it does (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where they can be re-downloaded not all film studios have agreed to it) then try deleting the film from your iTunes library and redownload it : re-downloading.
    If you can't re-download the film or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • Audiobook download plays in itunes but not in ipod

    Hi, I downloaded a 5 part audiobook that got interrupted and then I got the rest of it next go. It plays fine from my itunes library. I synced it to my ipod and it shows up fine but when I select the track and click the center button it trys to start then rejects itself back to the main menu. I have tried to select it from different playlists (audiobooks, artist, purchased... )and it does the same thing. I did the reset thing where you hold down the center and bottom buttons at the same time for twenty seconds, no luck. I tried restoring the unit back to it's original settings, no luck there . I have a hundred different books, tons of music and videos and podcasts that all work fine except this one recent download. Could someone please offer some advice ? Many thanks !

  • Firefox doesn't play video and audio, cann't download anything!

    A very strange problem occurred a few days ago. I didn't pay attention on it at first ( I thought it was caused by my provider) but now I found that it's a real problem. Firefox doesn't play video or audio. For instance, it starts loading and that's all. The same is with playing music. In addition, I can't download any files and view a big image as quick as early.
    What is more interesting sometimes Firefox just begins to work in ordinary way.

    There is no single codec for movies that have .avi extensions. AVI is a container format, not a specific type of file. An AVI movie may use one of the Indeo codecs (there are at least four that I'm aware of, none of which have been ported to Mac OS X) or one of the various flavors of DivX, among other possibilities. You'll have to find out what codec was used for the movies you want to view to determine what you need. Note that not all codecs for the various .avi movies are available for QuickTime.
    If you want to try "hit and miss", you can try the codecs at http://www.divx.com/ and http://www.3ivx.com/ and see if one of them will work for you. Perian, which rolls several codecs into one package, might also work.
    If you just want to play the movie any way you can, you can also give this player a try:

    When you purchase an HD video on a supported device or computer, only HD video will be downloaded. To download the SD version, you need to download the video again from your Purchased page. Conversely, if you purchase an HD video on an unsupported device, the SD version will be downloaded. Then, you will need to download the HD version from your Purchased page.     Delete the faulty file

    Navigate to the music you want and click the cloud button to download

    Have you contacted app support or maybe view this video from the website? Are you trying to play them within the app itself? Did you double tap on the video that you want to watch?

  • Ipod doesn't play the songs! please help!!

    when i try to play a song, the title of the song just like sits there but it doesn't play, like the numbers don't go forward, it just sits at 0:00. It isnt frozen because i can change the volume and do everything else. When i click the middle button to toggle from volume to how far into the song i am, if i scroll over a bit to make me further in the song, it just changes to the next one.
    Just now i tried going to the next song or something and whats happening now is every song i have is like popping up on the screen, like its scrolling through all my songs one by one till it got to the end and now its at the main menu.
    Can anyone please help????

    My iPod mini doesn't play any songs. It doesn't play purchased music from the iTunes Music Store, ripped CDs, or ANYTHING. On the iPod I go to play a song but the music time counter remains on 0:00. When it does this faint sounds of the song trying to start can be heard, but then a lot of static comes up. A song did start once but it stoped at 7 seconds. I've tried the 5 Rs and everything I can think of! Please Help!

    the same thing is happening to me as well since I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes. My sound beeps now in everything, from email notifications, to music. But iTunes won't play any songs that I select. Hope to get some feedback.

    I am a Young at Heart Senior, new to iPhone 4s, have an old creaking pc with Windows XP Home.....but plan to enter the real world any day soon by buying a new Mac!
    Here is my problem, I purchased an album on iTunes and mistakenly started to sync it to my phone, (although I don't have iCloud loaded on my pc). I stopped it mid download and later noticed that the total track numbers were showing as a red number above the "more" button as if they were waiting to complete the download. It stayed there while I thought about it for a few days, but when I click the Album button all the tracks are listed.
    Now to the funny part.....when I click on a track or indeed any of them, it doesn't play a sound...but the progress bar above moves as if "now playing".
    So, I thought.... no problem, I would connect the phone up to iTunes and delete the tracks....but when I do so, this album and none of it's track titles show in my music list for the phone......weird.
    So, I have a large album with titles only on my phone, no music behind the titles (which, incidentally, is rubbish anyway) and I can't get rid of it off my phone, any of you young whizzy iPhoners have any ideas how to clear it off???
    I did think I might just Restore my phone, but wondered whether downloading all my stuff from iCloud would still include the dreaded  "Now That's What I Call Christmas" album, which I only purchased in late 2011 to play at a seniors Xmas party...........you live and learn!
    You will guess from my ramblings that I am not at all techy, but consider myself willing to learn and apart from this hiccup........I luuuurve my iPhone!

    If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
    This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
    If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go
