Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. What caused you to get the impression that I was writing something else? furthermore this sentence - "The solution you described in your initial message isn't actually once since all the time you were operating on different account that weren't actually linked" does not make sense, I think you mis-edited it.and I need to point out that you are incorrect. I put in my $25 gift card and can see it there but it still won't accept it plus what's in my bank as payment?

I have $22.57 in my "gaming" bank account. I am unable to download updates in app center. My bank is 20 miles away. I purchased a $25 iTunes gift card and went into the "redeem" screen and typed it in. It shows I have a $25 credit. I know if I got close to my $22.57 that it wasn't by much and certainly no more than $10 at the very most. $25 + $22.57 = 47.57 would cover it easily and have much breathing room left over. I have done this once before in the past when Apple's belated charges and my bank's auto $5 to savings hit at the same time and the combo gift card + bank balance worked fine. Am I missing some crucial step that I've forgotten to do? ( As a side note.....And seriously, if I want to remove a credit card number permanently from an iPad, I should be allowed to, without putting anything back in at that moment.) Does your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks?
Then delete the song from your iTunes library and download it again from the iTunes Store.

According to Apple to create an iTunes account the person must be 13 yrs or older or older. Read here > iTUNES STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Unfortunately, you can't delete an account.
Have you already redeemed the gift card using that account? If so, the account balance cannot be transferred.

Take the sdhc card out of the camcorder, plug it into the side port of the iMac.
Open iMovie and import from the card. A small window should open up to let you import.

First, you're not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The only people who will respond are fellow users and there's nothing we can do directly with this problem.
But I can tell you that if you redeemed the card through the wrong iTunes Store ID, then sorry, but there's no way to transfer credit from one account to another. You'll have to use the iTunes Store ID under which you redeemed the card to make your purchases. You would not have been able to redeem the card through another account unless you had the password to that account, though, so you may not have actually successfully redeemed the card. Have you tried to redeem it through your "real" iTunes Store account?

Solaris 9 x86 doesn't recognize my lan card and can't get the drivers

Hi guys! I have a problem with my solaris os.. It doesn't recognize my realtek 8029 lan card and this means that i can't download the drivers from the internet.. Anyway i got the drivers using my other installed OS ( slackware linux 9 ) from the www but there's a problem it seems that i cant mount the harddrive where the driverz are..neither linux->mount solaris hd disk nor solaris->mount linux hd disk do the trick..(+ i don't have a floppy drive ) Any ideaz how to transfer the drivers from the hd disk where the linux is installed to the solaris disk..?

I have the same NIC (RTL 8029 chip), and.. the solution 4 you. :) I made this quick guide for me, so I can add netwotk support to my system, very easily. Happy to see that another person needs that info.
Follow these steps:
1. Download the file from the link below, put it at /, and unzip it.
ftp://sun.drydog.com/pub/solaris/nei-i86pc-solaris5.7.zip
2. Run (from command line) the command:
add_drv /kernel/drv/nei; devlinks
3. Create the file /kernel/drv/nei.conf and write
name="nei" parent="isa" reg=1,0xe800,0x1f interrupts=5;
(this is the hardware address for my card, you should find your's).
4. Create the file /etc/hostname.nei0, whick will contain the line
192.168.0.1
(this is the IP addr. I use for my internal network, change that to any other reserved addr. you like, like 10.0.0.1)
5. If you use IPv6, create /etc/hostname6.nei0 ,too, with the same contents as hostname.nei0
192.168.0.1
6. Edit /etc/hosts and add the line:
192.168.0.1 myname.mydomain
7. Edit /etc/inet/hosts and make the file look like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 myname.mydomain loghost
8. Edit /etc/inet/netmasks and put:
192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
9. Run from command line mode or from a terminal:
/usr/sbin/drvconfig -i nei
10. Run from command line mode or from a terminal:
touch /reconfigure; /usr/sbin/reboot
11. After rebooting, type "ifconfig nei0 plumb" to make sure the device was recognized.
It should show up in the output from typing "prtconf"
Normally, now you can use your RTL8029 card.

So I got an iPhone and I was going to but a ringtones from the iTunes Store. But it asked for my security questions and I didn't know them so it said it was going to send the answers to my recuse email but I am no longer able to get into that rescue email.

How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'. This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
