My bank doesn't recognize my computer on FF but does on IE.

When I attempt to log in to my banking account the bank doesn't recognize my computer. I have told the bank system that this is a private computer on earlier logins yet it asks for additional authentication each time. This does not occur when I use Internet Explorer, only with FireFox.

I don't know what kind of security your bank requires, But if your FF 34 was updated it might have SSLv3 turned of.

I think my ipod comes from the same generation and it took a while before i got the right information. I have an old version of itunes(plus whatever other software is on the cd) and i think that is what made it work. I got the same error at some point and once it synced with itunes it went through a process to correct the problem. I got the ipod maybe two years ago so the information is sketchy. I synced and reset it i think via windows originally even though i am a linux user but i could not work out how to do it in linux then as i was pretty new to it. Plus the guy at the Apple shop told me it is better to do it in windows. Well they don't know linux. So maybe an older version of itunes might be the clue to solving this? I might have also changed the battery at that time ....
My ipod has been syncing with both windows(itunes) and Linux apps on many machines over the past two years. Anyway if i can think of more info i will let you know.

Yes, all you iTunes data are on the old drive. Get an external enclosure in which you may install the old drive in order to connect it to your computer and copy your iTunes data to your new drive.
Everything is on your old drive unless you copied it to the new drive.

Have your bank put the full 9-digit zipcode into your records. The postal service doesn't require them, but they prefer them. It's very common to have the zipcode changed by online vendors to assist in shipping.
The problem is with your bank. Their software should know better.

The power source to keep it on is the power adapter and that it's "Not charging" on the battery settings. And my charger seems to charge other computers fine.
The part of my mac where the adapter (L-shaped, magnetic) attaches is a bit damaged - a small piece of the white case/body around the part where the adapter attaches is broken off, but that's just an outer damage.
I don't know what's wrong with my computer, and if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what's going on, it'd be tremendously helpful!

Doubtful an upgrade would fix a hardware issue. If you are thinking of upgarding to Lion, best to do all necessary maintenance first.

Album Artwork doesn't show up in vertical mode but does in Coverflow

I have an iPod Touch 4g and im running the newest version of iOS, 4.3.3, and the newest version of iTunes. Also running OS X Lion 10.7. The album artwork doesn't show up in vertical mode but does in Coverflow. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Did you already try to activate the artwork visualization in iPod?

ITunes doesn't recognize my computer as authorized anymore

I haven't made a hardware change to this computer since January, and it's always worked fine. I've rented several movies. This was my one authorized computer. This afternoon, the 9.0.1 upgrade ran and upgraded iTunes. I now have 9.0.1.8. Tonight I wanted to rent a movie, and it says my computer isn't authorized! According to the account info page, there is 1 authorized computer associated with my account. It should be this one! Why doesn't iTunes recognize my computer as authorized anymore? I think the iTunes upgrade messed something up, because it worked fine before.

I'm using a new computer and to open one website I have to answer the security questions each time saying that the site doesn't recognize this computer.

Each time I try to open my "ubt" website, I get a message that says the site does not recognize this computer so I have to answer the security questions each time. I get the message "You are attempting to log in to your account from a computer that we do not recognize..." All other websites work just fine. The Mac store person could not figure it out. This site works on Safari, but I prefer Firefox.

The ipod is not a backup device. The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases: Without syncing:File>transfer Purchases

BB recognized by computer & Desktop Manager, but does not connect?

All right, I've scoured these forums and can't figure this out. Tell me if I've missed something.
Blackberry is recognized by my computer AND by Desktop Manager, but does not fully connect so I can sync. I can see it in My Computer, and the Desktop Manager does recognize the model of smartphone when it's plugged in. Both Windows, and Desktop Manager ask me for my password when I connect the USB cord. However, it just says 'connecting' in the bottom right, and never gets past that. When the phone is initially plugged in, the screen goes to the clock (normal), and flashes the 'connection' screen (BB and computer icons connecting with a cord). It flashes that screen twice then goes back to the clock. The Desktop Manager then just keeps trying to connect, until I unplug it. Both the computer and desktop manager recognize when I've unplugged it.
Running:
Windows 7, 64bit
Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35
Blackberry Tour 9630
This is a new computer. I was running Windows XP with Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35 previously, and it worked no problem, but that is no longer an option.
The goal is to be able to sync with Outlook 2007. Need very badly to be able to do this.
Did all the simple stuff:
Oh so many Windows restarts,
Blackberry battery pull, both unplugged and plugged into computer with Desktop Manager running,
Desktop manager reinstall,
plugged into every different USB port,
tried a different cord.
Went deeper:
BB USB drivers fully up to date
Turned OFF USB power management on all my ports in device manager,
Disabled USB selective suspend setting
Deleted my intellisync folder in appdata/roaming,
Turned off Windows UAC notifications,
Tried every combination of BB memory compression on and off, or mass storage mode on and off,
There might be more I've tried but don't remember. I've been searching the net for days now.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can try. This is a serious issue for me right now, I need to be able to sync with Outlook 2007.

Apple TV doesn't recognize computer over WiFi, but does through Ethernet

Home Sharing from iTunes on my Mac Pro to an Apple TV (2nd Generation) only works if the Apple TV is connected to the router using Ethernet (i.e., hardwired). With WiFi (using the same router), the Apple TV won't detect the Mac Pro library. Everything else works fine over WiFi (e.g., Netflix and movie rentals). I can even control the Apple TV using my iPad when connected via WiFi or Ethernet. The only thing that doesn't work via WiFi is access to a network iTunes library. Any suggestions? The router is in bridge mode (i.e., it is an extension of the router that the Mac Pro is connected to). However, since the hardwire connection works, why wouldn't the WiFi connection work? And why does it work for everything but the network library.

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem actually solved itself. When I unplugged my Apple TV, the wireless wasn't recognized so I put it to sleep and woke it back up. When it came back on, the wireless recognized my Mac Pro library. If anyone else has trouble, you might try getting the Apple TV to recognize the desktop by using a hardwire. Then restart the Apple TV (or put it to sleep and wake it back up) with the ethernet unplugged and see if it will show up.
By the way, the bridge mode on my extender isn't a problem. I can hardwire or wireless to the extender router and the IP address on the Apple TV is the same as the host router (i.e., the one that the Apple TV is not plugged into).

When I sign into a financial website it doesn't remember my mac and requires me to answer security questions each time. I called the website and they said the problem is with my mac's settings. Anyone else have this problem?

They do it for YOUR protectoin and security and to avoid someone else pretending to be you.
They may or may not use cookies and other things.
it is possible it was designed to work with a differenent browser or even platform though I would say that has gotten rarer.

Enable the Developer menu in Safari and User Agent setting to 'tell' a site you are using something else;
try using Firefox 3.6.17 also.

ITunes doesn't recognize IPOD Nano (2nd Gen), but Windows XP does

I'm a longtime happy owner of an IPOD Mini and bought a second Gen IPOD Nano a few months ago that works great. I have two identical P4 Sony Vaios that I back up/clone from one to the other every so often to keep them as identical as possible. It's been some months though since I've backed up/cloned my primary laptop to the secondary, and the 2nd Gen Nano isn't being recognized by ITunes on my primary laptop, only my secondary laptop. However Windows recognizes the Nano just fine on the primary laptop on all 3 USB 2.0 ports (I haven't tried my Mini recently), and I can browse the file system of the Nano, but ITunes just doesn't see it.
As I mentioned, my secondary laptop works just fine with the Nano, both Windows XP AND ITunes recognizes it and can update it, but I don't want to have to use that computer JUST for updating my IPOD, and pretty soon I need to back up my primary laptop to my secondary. I've actually only been holding off on that because I can't get my Nano to be recgonized by ITunes with my primary laptop and don't want to screw them both up. Cloning my secondary laptop to become my primary isn't an option, the file system is many months outdated, I need to get the Nano working with ITunes on my primary laptop.
This is definitely a software/driver/service issue, I can take the hard drive out of my secondary laptop, put it in my primary, and ITunes will recognize the Nano just fine. I can take the hard drive out of my primary laptop, put it in my secondary, and ITunes can't see the Ipod. Nevermind. I uninstalled ITunes completely as well as the IPOD updater program (I think that's what it was basically called) that was installed on my system. I then rebooted, tested the Nano to make sure Windows recognized it, then tested it (successfully) with Winamp and the Winamp IPOD plugin. It was already working properly with Winamp and the IPOD plugin even when ITunes wasn't recognizing it so there was no change there. Once everything checked out I reinstalled the current version of ITunes and it FINALLY recognized the IPOD. It said there was a new software version available for the Nano so I went ahead and allowed it to download and install the update to 1.1. The update went smoothly and once the Nano restarted ITunes again recognized it. No clue what the problem was that created this error condition initially, but perhaps someone else will benefit from this information. I would have thought that reinstalling ITunes at least 3 times, including 2 version upgrades, would have resolved the problem, but it took removing ITunes and the IPOD software completely to resolve it.

Feature setting Masterpage & CSS doesn't work when included in SiteTemplate - but does work when activated manually

Hi,
I'm experiencing a strange behaviour recently. I wrote a feature with an EventReceiver that sets the masterpage and alternate css file for the current spweb it is activated for. When I activate that feature manually it works like expected. But if I include
the same feature in a SiteTemplate and it is called during site-creation, it doesn't work. I debugged it and stepped through it. As far as I can tell everything looks right. It sets the masterpage and css file like it should and throws no error. But when the
site loads in the end, it suddenly still uses the v4.master and no alternateCSS. How can that be?
If I deactivate the feature then manually and activate it again, it works...

You can put a copy of your master page within the template site, use that for the site's master page, and then save the site as a template then check whether it works.
