If you dropped it in water, and then plugged it in, you may very well have destroyed the battery and/or the logic board. Charging/plugging in to a power source is very damaging to wet electronic devices. There is not much you can do but replace the entire iPhone...and since you did repairs yourself Apple will not do an out-of-warranty replacement.
You can try replacing the battery, the lightning port is another issue, but I would not expect that iPhone to work again.

You can turn Find My iPad 'off' by going to http://icloud.com and logging into your account, select the iPad from the device list in the 'Find My iPhone' section on that site, and 'remove from account'

I have Linux Ubuntu and when I tried to upgrade my firefox, my firefox icon disappeared!

I have firefox 3.26 or something like that on my ubuntu linux 10.04 machine. I only tried to install/update firefox 7.0 and it would not let me do this. I got a tar.biz2 file and when I opened it with archive manager, the compression software, it just had a bunch of binary files and wouldn't do anything at all so I extracted them, but that did not help. It still would not do anything. How do I upgrade my firefox browser and how do I get my firefox icon back on my desktop? Or shall I uninstall firefox and install another version or what? Is 7.0 not compatible with Ubuntu Linux? And if I am running the correct firefox browser for Linux, how do I update firefox in the ubuntu software update? I have tried this.

I got a digtal download from a CD and downloaded it to my computer and when I try to drag it over to iTunes it doesn't work, why not?

The songs are downloaded into a music folder on my computer, they are legal downloads, but it won't let me bring it over to my iTunes library. When I click and drag it, they just never copy over.

my iphone (3g) was given by my daughter who used it for 3 years. So i was updating my ipod earlier yesterday, i kinda steal wifi from the neighbors so it was pretty weak.... i lost wifi (i think) because it stopped loading, so i turned off my ipod. And when i tried turning it on again it did the apple logo then went to a full out pink screen. Ive tried turning it back on and off a billion times, and sometimes the screen colors will change. I recently just tried restoring it like 10 times and usually itll just interenwrupt the restoring process. By the way, wh i plug it into the computer it doesnt recognize the device. I had to put it into recovery mode. Pleasehelp, this ipotd is my life. I cant take it to the apple store because its badly cracked, and ive had it for about 2 y and a half years. PLease help.

I had the same thing happen to me Thursday night, and I just got mine right 30 minutes ago (and it is now Saturday am). Like you I repeatedly tried to restore it (by holding down the home key and powere button at the same time; then plugging it up to my computer and trying to get it to restore through iTunes). My computer didn't initially recognize my ipod either. - One thing- be sure that your battery isn't dead/dying. If it is, charge it (it should charge-mine did), then start the process of restoring it again. Make sure when you hold the home and power keys down that you are linked to iTunes.- You will eventually get a screen that has the itunes icon it, with a usb cable underneath it. At that point your computer will recognize your ipod, and you'll be able to restore it...This will take a LONG time.- Good luck.

Hello, I sure hope someone can help me. My itunes music has ALL disappeared....and when I tried to replace it {I guess it's known as import it from my CD} it seemed to remain forever on 0.02 and would not move on to the other song....I became frustrated....and ejected the CD....and got a pop up window telling me pretty much that this was a no-no....anyway...I clicked on my itune icon to open it up and start with another CD to import music....well now my icon won't open and everytime I click on it to open I get a pop up window from Apple...asking if it is ok to make changes....I click yes...and nothing happens....I also tried to see the compalibility and it is now telling me it is not combatiable......well it was yesterday and the day before...and even a few minutes ago...when I was able to open it once....What does this mean? There must be a problem with the app store right now as a number of people seem to be having this problem right now. Try purchasing it using iTunes on your computer, accept the terms and conditions there, then either sync it to your phone or download it on your phone as a past purchase (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

Don't use the CD software its not necessary.
Infact put it in the trash.
Your router will have an IP address in the range 192.168.1.1
Connect your router to your Mac via Ethernet cable (They usually supply one with the router and don't worry which end goes where the Mac LAN socket is bi-directional)
Also connect your router to your telephone line.
Now open your Web browser Safari . Type in the IP address above and a Javascript control panel will launch
Enter the default password and username (They are on a label on the router )
Your now have the ability to set up your router.
Your will need the password and user name supplied to you by your ISP at a minimum.
Enter these and most modern routers automatically configure the basic networking setting.
You now need to go to the security setting and set this as WPA2 Personal (NOT Enterprise) or WPA2 with AES and TKIP which ever it refers to and create a pass-phase. WRITE it down
You should be online.
Now remove the cable and connect to the Wifi and enter that passphase.

Looks like you restored your backup file to her phone. If you didn't back up your wife's phone first, then the data is gone, sorry.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

The Apple id that you created do you remember if you created with your region sellected as Canada or US. If so you can change Region directly on your device by clicking on App Store icon, Scroll to bottom and tap your app is, click view acct and change region
