My battery Bar is drop when full charge

I m using BB 9800 when I charge my phone full charge it does drop the bar when I start using it and it can last up to 8 hour and d battery will remains like that once the battery is low it drop to red bar. Can anybody help with how to fix this problem please

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

nb. i havent updated it for a while to its running a 3. something software.

Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes, then restart the iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons until you see the Apple logo. If that don't fix you problem take a look at this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

  • 18 mo old battery with only 83 cycles full charge = 64% ... what!

The battery in my 18 month old late 2008 model MacBook (unibody) has had only 83 battery load cycles yet will only charge to 64% (2651 mAh vs 4100) at full charge.
Needless to say, this is disappointing when the local Apple dealer tells me it should be fine to 300 cycles. As an Apple user since the late 1970s Ive been able to fix most of my problems on my own ... but doing all the usual battery fixes does nothing. The battery is crap.
Very disappointed in Apple battery quality. No way I can pay $140 to replace what should be still fine. Ugh. And $49 for a tech support phone call, Apple. Come on.

Relax. Technology's not perfect. You have regularly calibrated it, haven't you? Maybe you should have bought AppleCare...
Oh, and Apple doesn't make the batteries.

  • Random reboots when 60% or less battery, phone turns off when fully charged

    Hello!
I need help! I have been using my new Sony Xperia Z3C for 4 days now. It came with Lollipop update.
Everything was working great when I opened it, but not for long. It started to reboot more and more frequently and anything could set it of, home button, typing a screen lock PIN, using any app or just while in stand by!! Crazy.
After that frustration I hoped it was a software issue because that I can solve. I started with PC Companion update and after that same thing. Ok, I thought the version is the problem. I went with older versions of Lollipop firmware. Again, same thing, after some time of usage phone starts to reboot uncontrolably. Fine, fine, I thought okay Lollipop is the problem, I need to go with Kit Kat. I did that and after successfull startup and app instalation, account logging and everything, guess what. REBOOT!
Then I noticed the weirdest thing, When I am charging the phone, it works like a charm and when it is almost full. When it drained passed 60% battery level it started to reboot again and this happens every time. When I charge it again it works just fine until 60% again. Other weird thing is that the phone TURNS OFF completely when it is at 100% charge.
Can I fix this at home?
    Cheers,
    Branko

    Hi Phy,
yes I allready did the SIM card and SD card test and removed both of them but it's the same issue. Sometimes it works for hours without a problem and then it starts to reboot every few minutes. It really has no rules.
I guess considering all the similar topics I read and your suggestions it is definitly a hardware issue.
Thankfully I will get a replacement on Monday.
I will update what kind of issue it was if I get that information.
    Cheers!

  • Brand new battery only getting 90% of full charge

is it normal to only get 4370 mAh full charge capacity on a brand new 45 Wh battery

Post your battery info in the system profiler (especially cycle count and full charge capacity)

  • My battery died and then when i charged the phone it is asking me to connect to itunes and restore. if i restore how can i get my data back

My iphone battery died and on charging the phone it asked me to connect to itunes and restore the phone.
If i restore the phone how can i get my data back and how can i check when i last backed up my phone

If you have been syncing regularly as the iphone is designed, then you can sync the data back.
Regardless you will have to restore the iphone.

  • Battery level 0% even after full charging

Hi, from last 3 days, whenever I am charging my phone, initially it shows 100% charged but after some time the battery sign turns from white to red and shows 0%. Surprisingly it still run for an entire day with internet ON but confusing about the exact amount of charged level. Please help.

and Eventually the problem got resolved. My initial observation is that the BlackBerry Charger has gone bad. If I use the BB charger the battery has little problems. If I use SS and MS chargers then I don't have any issues. Overall, this phone is really good and this battery problem is the only issue I faced in last 7 months which got rectified without any technical service.

  • Does allowing the Battery to drain to 0% depletes full charge capacity?

I bought a Macbook pro 17-in intel core 2 duo 2.4Ghz from the Phiippines on July 10, 2007 and brought it to Ireland couple of days after. Later, I upgraded to leopard 10.5.2 with 4 Gig memory. Auto updates have been installed since its first use. The only problem I encountered (except for some Safari quitting unexpedtedly) was in the battery.
Here is the record of my MBP battery use:
    Battery information
Battery : MBP 17in Rechargeable Battery
    Model: A1189 10.18V 68Wh
    Serial: 6 _ _ _ _ _ DVYF1A
    My Battery practice:
    - I wait for 5% remaining charge before I plug the charger
    - At several occasions I forgot to plug the charger before remaining charge goes to 0%
    - I usually unplug the wall charger as soon as full charge is indicated.
    - I sometimes leave the wall charger plugged for several hours after green light shows.
    - I use my MBP for an average of 12 - 14 hours a day. At times I dont shut it down and just allow it to go to sleep mode.
    - Calibrated about 10 times.
    Record of Battery Life/Charging
Battery Cycle Life (based on istatpro) Full Charge Capacity (based on MBP)
    1 100% No Record
    62 100% 6492 mAh
    66 100% 6484 mAh
    100 100% 6484 mAh
    300 98% 6213 mAh
    301-317 95-99% 5850 - 6109 mAh
    318 83% 5254 mAh
318 (at 3908mAh or 53% remaining charge MBP suddenly shuts down)
318 (MBP shuts down if wall charger is unplugged) Tried calibrating and resetting SMC but did not work.
I then checked if my MBP is still covered by the one-year warranty despite more than 300 battery cycles, no bulges present at apple website https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do (here you have to enter your MBP serial number)
I brought my MBP for check up here in Dublin, Ireland and indeed the problem was the battery. They replaced my battery with a new one without cost.
Thanks Apple my new battery now has a Battery Health of 100% with the following initial cycle records:
    Battery Cycle Full Charge Capacity
1 (33% remaining charge as soon as I received it) 6810 mAh
1 (I then used the remaining charge up to 1%) 6726 mAh
    1 (full charged) 6810 mAh
1 (full charged) I let it rest for few hours then checked 6879 mAh
    2 (full charged) 6879 mAh
    3 (full charged) 6876 mAh
    4 (full charged) 6830 mAh
    5 (full charged) 6845 mAh
5 (full charged) I let it rest for 1 hour then checked 6868 mAh
    6 (3% remaining charge) 6829 mAh
I forgot to plug the charger (battery drained to 0%) 6492 mAh
Notice the sudden drop of full charge capacity in cycle 6? How do I recover the lost charge capacity? Does letting the battery drain to 0% depletes its full charge capacity?

The short answer is that yes, completely draining the battery has a slight negative impact on full charge capacity. The full charge capacity does fluctuate a bit over time, but the general trend is downward no matter what you do - there's a continuous chemical reaction occurring in the battery, with a finite life.
However, I note that you state +I wait for 5% remaining charge before I plug the charger+; if you are doing this because that is what you need to do, i.e. you do most of your work away from a power source, fine. But, if you are doing that because you believe that's best for your battery, that is incorrect. The 'old' NiCd batteries performed best with full discharge and full charge. The 'newer' Li-based batteries do not have this requirement, and in fact perform better over time when used frequently but 'lightly', avoiding full discharges (except for the occasional battery calibration, which allows the OS to more accurately determine the time to charge and discharge).

  • Battery indicator percentage dropping

I have a new MBP and it has run just fine for two days. Now I am looking at the menu bar battery level indicator and it shows the MBP is plugged in but the battery percentage of charge is dropping and after many hours is at 98% and it is not charging to bring it back to 100%.
What can be done to get this back on track. Having had one arrived DOA, I am a bit nervous about this.

On seeing your reply I realize I misread it the first time. I apologize for any confusion that might have caused....
Now I am looking at the menu bar battery level indicator and it shows the MBP is plugged in but the battery percentage of charge is dropping and after many hours is at 98% and it is not charging to bring it back to 100%.
This is completely normal and is in fact the desired behavior. The Mac OS doesn't constantly top off the battery, but instead lets it discharge slowly (as all rechargeable batteries do when not actively being charged) until it drops below 95%. Then the computer charges the battery back up to 100% again. This is to avoid constantly topping off the charge unnecessarily.
See PowerBook G4, iBook battery does not show a full charge in Mac OS X. (This article doesn't mention the MacBook Pro, but it does the same thing as the iBook and PowerBook in this regard.)

  • My ipod touch is not charging after I charged it to incompatible charger and its getting hot when i charge it

after i plug my ipod touch 4g to the battery of my motorcycle using invented charger it 'reads battery charging is not supported with this accessory'...after a while my battery get empty and when I charge it using original apple charger it won't charge and getting overheat and I saw only a battery logo and current symbol z. Please help me how to fix this problem. Thanks to all...

    See the not-charging topic of:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    Have you tried another cable?
Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.
An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store would be next.

  • Full charge?

I'm not sure that my iPhone is fully charging. I plug it in at night and within about 3 hours its almost fully charged. However 8 hours later, when i get up in the morning it seems like there's a little sliver of uncharged battery on the graphical representation of the charge level. Under "usage" in the settings menu the phone is not showing any numbers for battery life after the first full charge. Leaving it plugged in longer doesn't seem cause it to charge fully, although I'll admit it has not been plugged in for longer that 8-10 hours in a night. Is this normal?

If you read about here and other forums (macrumors, macnn for for example), you'll find that others are experiencing the same behavior. I was one of them: my iPhone would never show the iPhone as "100% charged, and the usage stats always remained blank ("time since last charge," etc). Also, the indicator never moved from the approx. 89% charged mark -- even to the moment when the iPhone would lose complete power.
In my case, a simple trip to my local Apple store (Old Orchard, Chicago) solved everything. The folks there were awesome -- in 20 minutes they had swapped my SIM card into a brand new iPhone, checked its activation, and I was out the door.
Kudos to Apple and especially to the staff at the Old Orchard store. If only the customer support could be as excellent for the rest of the consumer goods world!

  • 30GB - How long should a full charge last?

Because the manual doesn't say and I'm getting rubbish times from my battery

"Two hours for 80% and 4 hours for full charge."
That's what the manual and help seesion says for my new 60gig Video iPod...
I've had it for one week...(Gift for Christmas).
I have loaded four music videos and about 25 songs from iTunes.
The video is excellent, the sound is excellent, but the battery won't take a full charge, and the animated icon gives false readings.
More than once I've had it go dead on me and the only way to unfreeze it in order to reset it was to go out to my car and plug it my car adapter in while sitting in my car.
The USB port on my Gateway is a 2.0 (but it still gives a "non hi-speed USB warning when iPod is plugged in).
Leaving the iPod plugged in to a computer USB runs the iPod but seems to drain it...not charge it (I know about the computer PC sleep mode deal...that isn't it).
I hooked the iPod up to my new wall outlet AC charger (a Griffin PowerBlock)...that doesn't charge very good - if at all. Several hours one time and it was dead after playing some songs.
After a short recharge session in my car...it shows the icon with the plug...it says "charged"...but one song and it is DEAD.
    Explain that if you can.......

  • Approximate Full Charge Capacity?

What's the approximate Capacity that a macbook battery should have?
    mine reads:
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 5273
    -

That is not bad. The battery is rated at 5200 mah. So your a little above. Don't be surprised if your mah goes up a little with proper care. Below are some links and other info the are good to know about the MacBook and it's battery.
MacBook reduces processor speed when battery is removed while operating from an A/C adaptor
Apple portable computer's battery does not show a full charge in Mac OS X
You should calibrate your battery at least every month or two. I do mine every other month and have had no problems. Look here and here for some good tips about battery care.
