My battery barely lasts for 3 hours and won't charge while in use & the phone heats a lot.
The phone is only about 6 months old, will the battery be replaced under the apple warrenty?

after I have updated my Iphone 3G to the newest firmware (4.2.1) may battery only lasts for about 7hrs in standby-mode (no tethering, umts, wifi, whatsoever), while it has been much much better before.

I'm happy to tell you that the problem, at least for myself, is gone. I checked around on the forum and apparently it could be so that something went wrong when updating to 4.2.1 so restoring the phone from itunes could be the fix. I did so and the problems seams to be solved.

Check Project lasts for hours

My Encore 2.0 project has 7 timelines each with 20 min video, 2 audio channels and 5 subtitle channels. The project also includes about 50 interactive menus.
My problem is that Check Project lasts for hours with 100% CPU utilization. Is it a kind of bug, or could you provide me any hint to avoid this problem?

The problem persists. I carefully followed the instructions on how to safely eject the Ipod from iTunes before disconnecting it from my computer. Nothing happened. However, when I close iTunes, I get the following message: "The Ipod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application". What should I do now? P.S. I am very new to the Ipod world, so please forgive my ignorance.

i've owned Nokia 6131 set on 20th Nov'2006, from then there was litte problem.. when i charged the cell by switchin off the cell often its shows on the screen that 'LOCAL MODE' after opening the battery and reloaded it comes in normal mode, and if i charged the cell by switchin on the cell it will no shows "Local Mode". From then i started to charged the battery with switchin on the cell > earlier my this cell was last 1 to 1 and 1/2 dasy but from last week it is not lasting 24 hour even after switching off the cell battery is consuming, i've tried by swithing on power saver on and off both ways but not getting any solution. please guide me, what to do, i m in trouble with my cell (Nokia 6131).

That "up to" 7 hour mark is often a point of confusion for users. I've had my 13" MacBook Pro since the week it became available and a new unibody MacBook for about 10 days. My day-to-day usage gets me anywhere from three and a half hours to five hours based on usage, a full charge will typically last me about 9 hours of actual time (I'll sleep the machine when not in use).
Last night, off a full charge (5147 mAh) with Safari and Mail open, WiFi connected and my backlight at 4 blocks I got 2 hours and 11 minutes of usage (browsing these discussions and responding). This morning, even after having the machine sleeping all night (about 7 hours) I still had 64% battery. So if I had continued my trend of usage in that manner I would have definitely gotten over 7 hours of run time.
However today, as I'm running Adium, mail, Safari, iTunes and a Parallels 5 with several things going in each... I'm at 47% in only about 30-45 minutes of usage.

IPhone 5 battery only lasts for 3 hours of usage

My iPhone 5 64GB is not working as well as I think it should be. After about 3 hours of usage (according to usage statistics in settings), which is just Facebook and web browsing, and 9 total hours of standby, the battery dies. This is mainly over 4G with medium brightness. Background App Refresh is off, most location services are off, Push emails are off, reduce motion is on. I have tried everything I have found online to try and fix this, but nothing has worked. On top of that, my iPhone was just replaced at an Apple Store, so I'm not really sure what it could be.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Why does Lenovo dont tell about this missing features??
I bought the unit a day before I left the country, and then to my surprise it does not have the internal battery that Lenovo is boasting about. Fn+Spacebar doesnt work in lighting up the keypad and the 3-cell external batter is no way near to 4 hrs!

1. Information about battery capacity for laptops with fixed configuration (i.e.not CTO) is provided in PSREF (for not all countries), on Lenovo support site in laptop model short description. It looks like the strings below:
6c Li-Ion
3c front battery and 3c rear battery

The 1st string is for 6 cell rear (external) battery.
If laptop is CTO the battery information is available in the purchase order or in the parts data base.

Well, you could start by searching the forum. You might then find this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3391947?tstart=0, a thread with over a million views and over ten thousand posts, discussing this very subject.
But the short answer is you have an app that is using data and power. If you have an Exchange account it might be email if you get a lot of messages. If you have the FaceBook app it is almost certainly that. Exiting out of apps does not necessarily kill the background process if they are built in apps (like mail, contacts and calendar, ping, genius, iTunes). Other apps can re-launch their background tasks if they are set to receive notifications and the receive one.

Losing connection with uverse at 830 every night and last for hours

Then come daytime my internet is just fine til 830 again each evening.Will come on and you can go to one page then it goes right back to "local access only" mode.

My Iphone 4 and my mac are suddenly synching without stop, on I tunes. Any ideas about what to do? This can last for hours.

Just today, when synching my iphone 4 with my mac, on itunes, I realized that it was not every completing the synch. On the progress bar on itunes it would get to step 2 of 4, and with either contacts of calendar, would just go on and on until I canceled the synch. Any ideas about what I can do?

Ipad battery not lasting anymore

I've had my ipad for 16 months. I regularly let the battery run out and recharge it and I use the higher power ipad charger. However within the last couple of months my ipad battery is barely lasting an hour and takes more than half the day to fully charge. It is extremely slow. I have also tried it on another charger and there was no difference. What can be done? Thanks, Danielle

Do you also own an iPad? I have struggled with all solutions to fast depleting battery on iphone 4s (and ipad) since installing ios7. I sync via icloud to my ipad and noticed the b stopped if I powered off the ipad for a day! ios7 must have set up some cycle that drained both devices. Now I have set the ipad to manual (not push) on icloud and diary sync and battery life is back to normal for a whole week it can last 48 hours with light use- no longer have to keep shutting down all apps and turning off bluetooth and wifi to get through a day! Any one else found the same solution?
