Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is suggested to have the Device checked....

  • Battery doesnt last more than 30 minutes

    Hi
Thats basicly the problem and i have had my MAC book pro not longer than 3 months, from the begining doesnt last.
What should i do to fiz it ? should i change it ?
    hope to get and answer
    thanks

Reasons for dead battery: SMC not working properly, which means that the power options are draining the life out of your battery. If one constantly charges the battery and then lets it drain out all the way it will shorten its life. This carried on for as long as 3 months could well leave the battery useless.
If u have apple care... call them, and get a new one. Also, ask them about the above.

  • What can i do if the battery doesnt last me 6 hours?

my macbook pro is a 15 inches 2,3 Ghz, with mountain lion 10.8.2
i know what all the answers will say, check activity monitor, well the highest activity is kernel_task with 3.8% and im noit going to delete that process or ill be regreted..
any ways, my keyboard light is off, the brightness is the minimum, and the bluetooth is off too.
the battery is lasting me no more than 4 hours, 3.5 hours is the major times..
    what can i do?
im charging the mbp everyday!!!! and i bougth it in august 23

First, document the battery performance by charging your MBP fully, pulling the power adapter, setting the Brightness to 50%, max out Energy Saver (set both to Never), and switching on Safari. Don't turn on any other process. This is one way Apple determines if a machine is using too much battery. Under these conditions, you should be getting seven hours.
Leave a note here with your results, please.

  • IPhone battery doesnt last

Battery doesn't last for more than one day. Its the
4th time I restore the iPhone in 3 days

I think I found the answer to the baterry drain. I been testing setting y setting to see whats causing the poor battery of my iPhones. I been testing my iPhone for a week now and two days ago I turn off the cel network search settings under Location Services and my battery was able to hold for a full day and a half and 7 h off heavy usage (email, texting, phone calls, Facebook, twitter). The main thing was that under standby there was almost no battery drain. I think that this setting was causing my phone to die by 5 pm every day. (I start my day at 6am). Now I'm able to last until the next day with out charging it!
This is what I did a week ago
    1. reset the phone to factory settings with the computer ( I had to download the iOS since I did the last update via OTA)
    2. Setup 2 exchange accounts with PUSH, and iCloud with PUSH, iTunes match
    3. Turn off ping
    4. Turn off all system service in location services, exept compass calibration ( I use it with waze).
    5. My apps locations services I left on the ones I know I use
Let me know how it goes!

  • My battery doesnt last all day on my iPhone 5s

HHi my iPhone 5s battery does not last all day is it my phone or what can I do about to make it last longer ?
    thanks
    Paul

To help maximize your battery life you can turn off cellular data when not using it, turning your brightness all the way down, also setting your auto lock to 1 minute so if you forget to lock your phone. You could also turn notifications off so that your screen wont go on when you get a notification.

  • How do i get an iphone 5's battery to last. Just bought a brand new one. Changed all the settings as in location services, dim display push mail, yet it doesn't last half a day.

Just bought a brand new iphone 5. But the battery doesnt even last. I have changed all the location services n all. Still it doesnt last even half day. And the usage isnt heavy. My wife is using it, so it doesnt have a heavy usage. Tried every thing.

Gidday, I had the same problem when I bought my iPhone 5. If you drain the battery right down to nothing until it is completely flat and then recharge it 100%, drain it again, and fully charge it you should be good to go.
    Hope this works.....

  • Battery doesnt seem to be charging

As the tittle ays really. My IP4 battery doesnt seem to be charging.
Last night I allowed it to run completely flat until it switched itself off so it could calibrate the battery.
Plugged it in to charge and went to bed. Some 9 hours later, switched it on and it's only showing 3% ... Yep the mains was switched on lol
Defuncd battery maybe? Not sure as it seemed to take ages for the battery to run flat

Draining a lithium ion battery untill it is nearly empty is not a good idear
In fact if you run it totaly empty it will be damaged beyond repair. The idear this calibrates the battery is wrong. This type of battery likes to be topped up oftern it will however take a week or so of use befour reaching peek efficiency
    You are 100% incorrect.
Please read the Apple advice on batteries here:
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
    It specifically states:
    _Use iPhone Regularly_
For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. _*Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).*_
Not sure that can be much clearer.

  • After upgrading to Mountain Lion today, my battery only lasts less than 1:30 and the fans seem to run constantly. Help?

I have a late 2011 13" MBP with a 2.8 GHz i7 processor and 4GB of RAM. With OSX 10.7, my battery could last over 4:30; however, now I see the battery drop a percentage point about every minute (currently at 81% and it says 1:16 remaining). I have a number of programs open (Chrome, Mail, iTunes, Twitter, Skype), but these are the same programs I almost always had running with Lion and I never had this problem. Something else new is that the fan seems to constantly be running and only turns off if I put the computer to sleep.
Here are screenshots of my activity monitor: http://imgur.com/a/shehM
    Any advice?
My battery has decreased to 70% (1:07 remaining) by the time I've finished writing this...

It looks like Skype is basically running two CPU cores at nearly full throttle (well, 1.57 cores).  That's bound to drain the battery pretty quickly.  If you were not doing a high resolution video chat in Skype when you took that screen shot, then something is very wrong with it.  Check and see if there's a newer version of Skype available that fixes the problem.

  • After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably.  I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day

After uploading our phones with the latest update, we have noticed that the battery life has deminished considerably.  I now have to charge my phone overnight and two or three times a day. Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day.  We have several phones in our office and the ones that have updated (4) now have issue holding a charge/battery life. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update.  I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well.  Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed".  Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue.  I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues.  I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so.  It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.
    Thank you.

  • Year-old nano's battery only lasts about 9 hours--normal?

The one-year warranty on my nano expires in about two weeks. The battery only lasts about 9 hours when playing AACs purchased from the iTunes Music Store continuously, with the EQ and backlight turned off.
Not too shabby, but also nowhere near the 14 hours it got when it was new.
My question for those of you who have had warranty repairs for battery problems--would Apple consider 9 hours of battery life "defective" and worthy of a warranty repair or replacement?
Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Actually Apple says up to 14 hours. You're doing ok with this because you're getting about 65% or more battery life from the max of 14 hours.
Just to be clear, you can only buy the AppleCare plan during the first 12 months warranty period, so if your iPod is nearing a year old, better be quick.

  • Battery only lasts for about 7 hours after Update to IOS 4.2.1

    Hello folks,
after I have updated my Iphone 3G to the newest firmware (4.2.1) may battery only lasts for about 7hrs in standby-mode (no tethering, umts, wifi, whatsoever), while it has been much much better before.
Does anyone of you have the problem or a solution for it?
    Thanks,
    Alex

I'm happy to tell you that the problem, at least for myself, is gone. I checked around on the forum and apparently it could be so that something went wrong when updating to 4.2.1 so restoring the phone from itunes could be the fix. I did so and the problems seams to be solved.

  • Why need to charge iphone 6 Plus everyday the battery just last long for a day- My phone just 1 week old

I have to charge my phone everyday, The battery just last long for a day. Is that normal ? My phone just one week old.
    Please advise mates.

I would say that is well within the acceptable limits,
If you check out Apple's page here: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/specs/
All the way at the bottom is the battery info. It states that you'll get up to 12 hours of battery on 3G/LTE. Of course, that number is obtained by following a very specific set of steps - the real world number is less.
