My battery is gone, screen destroyed, and possible front camera dammage!

I need help! iv got a 4th gen ipod touch model that's screen/digitizer has been destroyed, its battery was shorted from a cheap faulty charger, and possible front camera dammage because the copper tape connected to the metal plate behind the screen was ripped from the plate, I dont know if that harms anything. But my question is, Where can I send it to be fixed, can I? and how much would it cost me?

Apple may exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB one and $99 for the others. They do not fix yours.

You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping the camera swap icon . If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

Try closing the Camera app:
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
2. Hold down the Camera app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

Try:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Replaced front screen why is my front camera now orange?

I replaced the front glass of my phone because it was cracked and the back camera wasn't working at all. Now after being replaced the back camera works fine and the front camera has an orange blotchy tint. What can I do to fix this problem without dropping another $50?

Since you apparently replaced it yourself you either installed an inferior product or you damaged the front camera CCD. You also voided any warranty the phone may have had and eliminated any chance for Apple to repair the phone in the future, as Apple will not touch any phone that has been repaired by a user or a 3rd party. Apple would have charged you $109 to replace the front glass. You can try dropping another $50, but that may not be the problem.

Screen share and simultaneous web cam

Hi all,
I have a 7 day trial premium account. When I make a video call and then share my screen, my video feed is then turned off. Is this functioning as designed?
When looking for an answer to this question I was under the impression that both screen share and web cam (from one caller) could be used simulataneously.
I am using Windows 7 with Skype version: 6.11.0.102. My Skype app says this is latest version although it looks like 6.13 is now avaialble...

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

N97 scratch under screen cover and only used camer...

I have a nice little scratch on my camera lens from the slide protector thingy and ive only used the camera twice maximum.
Its really not good but doesnt show on photos yet!
Does this work as a warranty claim or can i go into a shop and get them too change the camera?/

As a consequence to that thread, I have also been extremely careful, removing the dust every time I opened and closed the camera-cover, but still I got a scratch within 2 weeks after buying the phone...

hahaha what you're doing is taking a photo of your device screen..That's not actually a problem, That's Normal..
here's what you should do.
Try pressing the restart/off button only, wait for seconds until the "Slide to Power Off" appears. Do no press the home button. After you turned off your device, try pressing once the Power button again to turn your device On.

Problem with Facetime and my MacBookPro camera

I've got a MacBookPro and I have a problem with Facetime and my front camera.
When I have a discussion with an iMac or an other MacBook the image received by the other person becomes fix.
To unfix it I have to put my finger on my camera and then everything is good until the next time, 4 to 10 seconds later I've got the problem again.
Perhaps somebody can help me.
My head on my screen is always good even when the bug appear on my correspondent's screen.
For information, the 2 mac have the same iOS version (OSX Lion) and Facetime version.

I'm going to leave the answer here in case someone else with a Facetime for Mac issue can benefit, because when you're searching for "Facetime AND Login", you could land in any discussion area. -Jerry
Keychain Access.app is in your Utilities folder in your Applications folder.
The path will be: Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.app.
Keychain is where all your passwords are stored for those applications that you don't want to have to manually log into all the time.
It's a handy app to become familiar with, for instance if you want to look up a password or user name from the past.

Basically I've tryed everything, I've restored the phone from iTunes and my front camera and flash just won't work, any help?

If you've tried "everything" there is nothing more to try. By "everything" does that include restoring as new? If not, restore it as new.
If the problem still exists, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals. Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice.
