Hello,
Thankf for your answer.
By the way I sae a post who propose to do
"option+command+P+R"
WHat is the difference
That is a PRAM Reset: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
Instead of me trying to explain the difference, let me just say that it's ok to try both of them.
Yes, on my power cable adapter, the light is green.
That's interesting. It should only be green if the batt is fully charged. Have you done the SMC reset?
My problem is that I absolutely need to engrave a iDVD and it take about 1 hour. I can do this before.
But I happy to read that I can solve my issue as you state. . That's right?
Sorry, but I'm not understanding . . . .

  • My Battery does not charge any more.

    Hi,
I have seen this issue in a few other threads but mty situation is a little different.. My Magsafe Adapter stopped working.. i checked the brick part and it was buurning hot like on fire almost.. really bad smell coming from the brick.
My MacBook Pro is no longer under the 1 year warranty as of a month ago..
So I read a few threads that suggested replacing the adapter. So I bought a new adapter.. I plugged it in.. And now my batteries won't charge.. I have two batteries and neither of them will charge to even 1%..
Does this mean the part on my MBP where the adapter plugs in is broken and needs to be replaced or something? I tried bringing my laptop to a store where they sell macs and their adapter did the same thing.. a faint green light.. but no charging the battery.
I'm afraid that the power plug on the MBP might be attached to the logic board and buying a new one of those is pretty expensive.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
    Thank you
    Kai

Thanks for confirming my suspicions guys! I suppose it's not so bad..
After all.. I DID get this computer as a gift for attending a conference last year.. Now I'll have to buy a new one.. I think I'm going to open her up and take a look.. The local store says sometimes you can fix the problem by looking at the logic board.. I'm hoping it's not ALL soldered. Even so.. I fixed a part on a G5 mobo a few months ago and saved a buddy of mine about $3000.
I wish Apple had better repair options.. and MORE modular components rather than everything soldered to the logic board.
    Thank you again,
    Kai

  • IPad not charging any more...?

The last two days i notices my iPad not charging any more. Eventhough when pluging it into the A/C outlet it would show on the small top right icon, that it's charging, but the battery status renmained at 10% or so... now the battery seems totally drained and i can even restart it.
I also tried using my iPhone A/C adaptor as well as directly charging it from my notebook USB... nothing...death...
Any one knows what to do?
    thx guyy.

Turn your iPad all the way off. Then plug it into the A/C outlet with the adaptor that came with your iPad. Since your battery level is so low, it may take a while for it to have enough juice to power on. Your notebook USB and iPhone charger probably don't have enough power to charge the iPad. Don't use them in the future for charging.

  • I'm in trouble, my iPod Touch is giving 4th shock when recharge and the battery does not last any more. who knows or has a similar problem, please help me. Note: all this after I downloaded the new version OS5.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.

  • My iPad is not charging any more on my iMac

I used to charge my iPad directly from my iMac on the USB port on the back.
Today, for the first time, the iPad refused to charge (Not charging message).
    What's worng?
Same Mac, same USB port, same original cable, same iPad...

The USB port on the computer is not able to charge an iPad which is why it comes with its own separate charger.  At best the computer can maintain an existing charge which is why you see the "not charging" message.
    I can't understand this.
I charged the same iPad since December 2010. Actually, I always charged the iPad with that USB port from the back side of the iMac. It worked for months. I did not change anything.
I'm talking about an iPad 1, not 2.

  • MagSafe power supply not charging any more + PowerPlug moving inside my MBP

    Hello,
I've purchasd my MBP at the end on March.
For now about 3weeks, I've been experiencing problems with my mag safe connector :
It plugs in but does not charge
At the begginning, by changing its side it would charge, but now even that doesn't work.
I've noticed that the MagSafe plug (inside the computer) is mobile. It moves about 1 or 2 millimetters, inside...
I must add that I didn't play football or other harmfull activities with my MBP, and has been on my desk or in its box since I've purchased it, unharmed.
Is this a known problem? What would be an appropriate answer to this kind of problem?
    Thank you.

MIne does the same, have to force it aside so it charges, and it got so hot, and one of the pins in both the adapter and the plug got burnt, i haven't had time to go to the mac store to get it fixed.

Have you tried restarting the device?
Have you tried resetting the device?
Have you tried resetting all settings?
Have you tried restoring from a backup?
Have you tried restoring as new?

  • T23 battery will not charge

I have a T23 (2647-4MU) that the battery will not charge any longer.  I bought a new battery (that's what one of the FAQs said I probably needed to do.  It came charged to 74% but has slowly been going down.  I just run it on the power supply now but would sure be nice to be able to make small room changes without having to shut it down.  I'll appreciate any help I can get.  Thanks

    Welcome!
From the description of your problem, my vote would be to say that a part has come loose from the motherboard. I've personally seen two T23s that did this (out of about 40 that have gone through my hands). Of course the fact that I buy "parts and repair" systems off of eBay kind of skews this occurrence . If you are handy with a screwdriver and a soldering iron, then use the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the T23 and remove the keyboard and check the black part near the top center of map location G6 in this scan. If you find that the part is loose but can't do the soldering yourself, then try a local computer or TV repair shop. If you disassemble the system beforehand and ask them to re-solder the part back on, it shouldn't cost you more than $10-$15.
There can also be some other problems on the motherboard which causes the battery not to charge (blown fuse; but that generally means the laptop will not work at all with a battery) or another loose or fried part. The part I've highlighted usually is the culprit in these situations.

  • Iphone4 Battery will not charge

iPhone 4 battery will not charge any ideas. This phone is 3 weeks old

Did you check the USB port/cable for any kind of debris or lint? Are you using the wall adapter? Can you use another USB cable?
If this does not work, get it serviced, you're still under warranty.

  • Battery does not charge,why ?

the battery does not charge any longer...why ?

Your battery may be completely dead — but even a dead battery will usually accept a tiny charge, even if it only powers the computer for a minute or two afterward.
Your AC adapter may have failed. If you have access to another adapter, test with that and see whether it charges the battery. If it does, try all the steps in this article to see whether your own adapter will revive:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1713
The charging system inside your MBP may have failed. If you have no luck with the above, take your machine to an Apple Store Genius Bar for testing:

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

  • My battery is not charging. this is first time i have tried. any idea WHY...

my battery is not charging on my new ipad 2
it has gone from 11 percent to 10 percent.

are you using the cable and plug that came with the iPad?
are you plugging directly into an electrical outlet and not into a computer USB port?
if the answer to both of those is yes, then make an appointment with a genius at an Apple Store and take it in,  you may have a defective cable or plug or iPad
