  • Itunes deducting too much from my prepaid balance?

    Hi!
Just like the question states, I think that the Itunes store is deducting too much when I'm ordering apps in the app store. I have a total of $75 prepaid credits and bought apps that totals $9.95 (Got this from my purchase history). Deduct that from 75 gives me $65.05 dollars left. However, it says that I have 63.07 dollars left in my account. Please, can anyone help me ASAP??? I want my missing credits back, even though it was only $1.98!! Thanks in advance.

  • X3-02 WLAN/3G/GPRS/MMS Tips

    Hello everyone,
Iv'e discovered something about this handset. Hope this can help you.
When I bought this handset, it automaticaly saved an acess point in my settings>configuration.
It was named after my network carrier. The name's "MyGlobe" or lets just call it "Config 1". I thought the phone automatically sent a request for gprs/mms settings like my old nokia phone. But I was wrong.
    This configuration have the ff:
        Items recieved:
        *Web
        *Multimedia messaging
        *Streaming
        *x-midlet-NokiaVisualRadio
        *x-midlet-NokiaOviStore
        *x-midlet-NokiaSearch
        *x-midlet-NokiaContacts
        *x-midlet-NokiaCommunities
        *x-midlet-OperaSoftware ASAOpera Mini
        *x-midlet-NokiaOviMusic
        *x-midlet-ShazamEntertainmentShazam
        *Access Point
When I use this settings and open an application that is internet dependent, the phone will prompt me what to use.
    Select internet connection:
        Search WLAN
        MyGlobe Connect
        Do not ask
If I'll choose WLAN, it will search for Wireless Access Points.
Then if I'll choose the second one, It will not connect me because It's not the real access point provided by my network carrier. It will only display an H or G but not inside the box. Thus when I choose this connection for my MMS, it wont allow me to retrieve it automatically.
What I did is request an access point from my network carrier and they give me this. The name is "Globe Prepaid" or "Config 2".
        Items recieve:
        *Web
        *Multimedia messaging
        *Access Point
When it's my default configuration settings, and i will open an application that is internet  dependent, it wont promt me what access point to choose. It automaticaly uses 3G/GPRS connection even if i choose the settings that always ask me. And eventually it eats up my credits.
What I did is use Config 1 as my default config settings so I can use wifi so my network wont charge me. And when wifi is not available, I choose Config 2 so i can use 3G/GPRS as my access.
On MMS Settings under messaging settings, i set it as config 2 as the default.
Now I can retrieve MMS automaticaly and resolve my WLAN vs. 3G/GPRS problems.
If you have too many settings in your configuration, and you're kinda confused do this.
backup your phone first. Menu> Settings> Sync and Backup.
Delete all settings in the configuration> Default Configuration Settings.
Power off your phone, remove the battery for a while.
place it back and turn it on.
wait for a while so the phone will create the first access point.
when a settings shows up in the configuration and have its x-midlet-*name*, you have the settings that can choose WLAN or 3G/GPRS.
Remember the name or write it down.
Request an access point from your network provider if you want to use 3G/GPRS access.
I hope this can help you guys.

Check whether you have correct internet settings on your phone and you have activated them correctly. You need to select correct access point to use mini opera.

  • Vodafone 3G to 2G convertion problem

I have a BB 9300 with a Vodafone prepaid connection. I had the 3G service enabled for my Vodafone connection and it was working fine. Later i inadvertently converted to 2G. Then again when i tries getting back to my #G network it is not working. I even went to the Vodafone service center and followed the procedure they told me but still to no avail. I do not understand the problem. WILL BE VERY GLAD IF ANY ONE CAN HELP ME THROUGH. PLEASEEEEEEEE

    Hello,
I updated my iPhone5 to iOS8 and it didn't show 'Enable 3G' toggle button.
Instead 'Enable LTE' toggle button is shown.
I was not able to connect to 3G network after upgrade and only 2G was working upon enabling Cellular Data and enabling LTE.
    After Restarting Phone:
    1. Phone is connected to 3G network.
    2. Toggled 'Enale LTE' to 'OFF' -> 3G is disconnected and connected again.
    3. Toggled 'Cellular Data' to 'OFF' -> No data network connected
    4. Toggled 'Cellular Data' to 'ON' -> 3G is connected again.
Now, the problem is how to disable '3G' and to start using '2G' data network?

  • How to load prepaid simm credits on an iPad?

The instructions for loading prepaid simm credits for all carriers I know start with the following:
1.) Dial a number and type in the magic numbers, or
2.) Send an SMS text containing the magic numbers to a number.
Neither procedure works on an iPad.
How brain dead is a product that requires a simm card yet can not send an SMS text or make a phone call?

Even when my PrePaid SIMM balance is completely deleted to zero, I can still call or text the special loading number to refresh my load on a cell phone (this does not seem to work on an iPad). However, if my balance is zero I can not use the "cellular data" service to refresh my load via internet or web interface. So beware, if your telecom provider's method of re-loading your pre-paid simm card is dependent on the internet or web, then when your balance goes to zero, you will not be able to reload. That is why an SMS or GSM based prepaid reload solution is needed, since they will work even with a zero balance.

For some reason iTunes will no longer accept PayPal or a credit card. I have called my credit card company and confirmed that they are not getting any verification request (required for them to decline). I deleted, changed, set to none, logged on, logged off--get the picture?
I am getting the same response if I try from my iPad. I was able in between changing from a credit card to PayPal actually purchase an app on my iPad. But when I went to try it again-bam same problem.

  • Help needed... Iphone 3gs is using up all my phone credits

I bought the 3gs recently. I have a prepaid account with my cellular/mobile carrier. FOr some reason the the phone is eating up all my credits. I am going thru USD 20/hour.. How do i stop it? I have already made the following changes to my settings :
    Fetch new data is off
    Enable 3g roaming is off
    Data roaming is off
What else do i need to do? why is it happening?
    thanks for your help

You are probably using applications that fetch data over the network.
Google maps, the camera application, safari, app store, itunes app, and several other 3rd party applications do that.
The only way I can think of getting rid of that is by putting false information on
    settings->general->network->cellular data network.
That way you won't be able to use the carriers 3g and edge network.

  • Contract has been up, and thinking of prepaid.

My contact has been completed for 2 years and I am on month to month. My phone is the Casio Brigade. It has lasted longer than any phone i have ever had until recently the text quit working. Tried to connect my back up phone (Moto Razor flip phone) and VZ said I had to get a $10 data plan (**) on a phone that is older than my Brigade. I am thinking of switching to prepaid because I would come out cheaper even with my 20% monthly discount, which is not on my plan below. I am looking at the $60 2 gig and $70 4 gig prepaid plan. They are suppose to be 3G only, but I am not concern with that.
These are my concerns and questions.
    1. Will there be a cancellation fee since my contract has been up for 2 years and do I have to give so many days notice.
    2. Can I take my Phone # with me to prepaid.
    3. I will probably use a Droid bionic or Casio commando on the prepaid. (phones given by friends)
    4. I don't download movies or music. I might listen to Pandora or watch a YouTube video.
    5. I live in a rural area, so VZW and ATT are the only ones that work.
    6. Why the hell, is VZ wanting to charge me $10 data on my older back up phone. By the way I have used this same Moto Razor flip phone before with no extra charge when my original phone broke. So why $10 now?
    7. Asurion wont cover nothing. Always been told wast of money if your phone is to old.
    8. This is my plan. The total is $77.83 or $65 w/ discount. Which has no data, With a 2 gig plan would be almost $100. The prepaid would $60

  • Prepaid PO invoice need offset PO receipt account

How can I setup proper GL # to offset Prepaid PO invoice with PO receipt GL#?  When we prepaid PO Invoice will Dr. Prepaid Vendor acct. and Cr. to Cash.
When PO Goods Receipt then will Dr. Inventory CR.  PO Clearing.   If we do the Internal Reconcilation then how to offset Prepaid Vendor to PO Clearing account directly instead to create another real AP invoice with vendor's invoice number.

    hi liley chen,
PO Clearing account get credited when u create GRPO,it should be get offset only when u create ap invoice.
AP DPI is a document to keep track of advance payment u have made to vendor, there is no stock effect in it.
One thing u can do,convince client to create ap invoice from Purchase order instead of creating goods receipt po,
in this case both stock & accounting JE effect happens and also link AP DPI with AP invoice,
GRPO creation is eliminated in this case.
    Jeyakanthan
Note : Why they are entering vendor invoice number in AP DPI ?

  • I have just created a new username and bought a new prepaid phone. I am being toldf I am not the account owner. Why is this?

I have just created a new username and bought a new prepaid phone. I am being toldf I am not the account owner. Why is this

Owner status on POST PAID is not the same as PRE PAID.
on prepaid you can get any device you like.
    But you pay upfront.
People on post paid get the advantage of reduced priced devices on contracts. Prepaid is no contracts.
Any carrier will function the same way. Go online and check out Verizon pre paid policy and then look at the other carriers.
Maybe prepaid from Walmart or Boost Mobile, or Cricket etc. would be best for you. Pay for all you can eat calling, texting and data for one low price. Say $45-$55  and buy the phones they offer.
    Good Luck

  • Trying to change itunes country, get an error saying I cannot do it until I have redeemed my 5 credits, can't figure out how to get rid of the credits...Help?

how do I spend song credits? Can't figure it out...trying to change store from US to other country and it won't let me do it until I've spent my credits but I can't figure out what kind of credits they are or how to use them - my profile simply says "5 credits"....Aaaaarghhhhhh...... Help?

    Hey rcstangeland,
Thanks for the question. Free song credits are redeemed first when purchasing a song from the iTunes Store:
iTunes Store: How iTunes Store purchases are billed
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582
When you buy individual songs from the iTunes Store:
    - Free song credits are redeemed first.
    - If you have no free song credits, gift certificate, prepaid card, and allowance credits are used next.
    - If your gift certificate, prepaid card, and/or allowance credit is less than the total cost of the purchase, your credit card is billed for the remaining balance.
    - If you have no free song credits or gift certificates, prepaid cards, or allowance credits, your credit card is billed for the songs you buy.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

I'm not sure I understand.... I thought that "Anytime Minutes" Were for non-Verizon calls, whether to other carriers' mobile phones or landlines, 24/7.  If they are designated as "unlimited," then you do not pay a per-minute fee for them -- instead they are all included in the $50 monthly fee... Correct?
Now here's a possible "fly in the ointment"... What about "roaming" calls on this plan?  Is there such a thing; and if so, are they included, too, at no extra charge?  Also is "roaming" determined by from where the call *originates* (your own, i.e., the caller's location); or if the destination is out of the prepaid Verizon wireless coverage area? or both/either?  This has always confused me.
One time about a year or so ago, my sister and I were talking (we both had VZ prepaid wireless phones on the "Core" plan), as we customarily tended to do; and after a few minutes we got mysteriously cut off. When I tried to call her back, I heard a message that indicated she was out of wireless minutes.  This confused us, as although we knew her account was low (I think she had $2 left at the time), still it should have charged her the 99¢ daily access fee and no more.
So we called Verizon customer service (with my "patching her in" via landline, lol) and asked them what exactly she got charged for. The CSR said that we'd  been on "roaming," that there had been some upgrades to the towers in the area and that we would need to call *228 to update our phones' roaming capabilities.  That was the first we'd ever heard of such an option!  It especially surprised me, since I ~thought~ I'd configured my phone to disable roaming except for emergency 911 calls; as I didn't wish it to activate automatically (and unnoticed!), as it seemed to do in our case.  I'd much rather have the call dropped than incur 20¢/min. charges.
Fortunately the CSR was very nice and credited both our accounts; and with the *228 update (which Verizon recommends you access about once a month) we did not experience the problem again.

  • I want to block ALL data services on my LG Revere prepaid phone...is it possible?

I recently upgraded to an LG Revere.  This is a prepaid phone where I pay 0.15/minute as an old Alltel customer.  I just looked at my account usage and found that my balance is dwindling QUICKLY due to data sessions.  I don't use any internet or web services at all.  I rarely text and honestly my phone is OFF most of the time because I live in the country and it truly doesn't work well out here.
Can I block all data services and just have a pay by the minute situation on this phone?
    Thanks!!!

Ok, I neglected to say in my first msg that I DID get an response from my email sent on Sunday but since I got a real person on the phone that said she had fixed my problem on her end I did follow the instructions.  Today, I did what the email said which is the following:
There is a known issue with Alltel plans and the LG Revere. On your phone, you have an application called “Daily Scoop,” which is a free service, but data charges do apply. If Daily Scoop was preinstalled on your phone when you purchased it, you may turn on or off notifications for both Verizon Messages and Bonus Messages through the application directly. Please follow the steps below to stop the data session charges for the “Daily Scoop:”
    •        To access the Daily Scoop, click on Media Center
    •        Then Browse & Download menu
    •        Select the Daily Scoop icon
    •        Once In Daily Scoop
    •        Go to Menu
    •        Then Options
    •        Select Verizon Messages
    •        You then have the option to turn On/Off – Select OFF
    •        Hit CLR two times to go back to options
    •        Select Bonus Messages
    •        You then have the option to turn On/Off – Select OFF
You will still be able to access messages from the application, but you will not receive banner notifications on your home screen. You may choose to suspend Daily Scoop account by contacting [email protected].
I called again and the gal seemed to think that I was good to go.  Again, I won't know until Friday most likely.  They credited my account for the data session yesterday and the two today that occurred when I turned off the msg options.  I will be sending a msg to vzdailyscoopsupport next.
By the way, in order to get a real person from the 800 number, you enter your phone #, option 4, option 4, option 5, enter your security code and they should connect you to a live body.
I will update again on Friday to let you know how it's going.  Hopefully I'm on my way and maybe with this you will be too

  • Redeemed an itunes gift card the money was credited towards my account but then went to purchase something and it asked to verify my credit card?

I received a $100 gift card that is redeemable through the iTunes store or mac store. So i went onto iTunes and redeemed it an the money was credited to my account. then i went to buy something and it says to verify my credit card and type in the security code for my credit card, but i have $100 on my account from the gift card so why cant i just use that?

The iTunes Store from time to time will as a security precaution ask you to verify your billing details even if you have a credit balance available. If you just do what it asks, the purchase will then most likely go through on your credit from the prepaid card as normal. If your credit card is charged instead, or you don't have a credit card but it keeps insisting on one, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
