My BB Pearl 8100 IMEI # not found

Tried to set up my BB on a plan but my provider said my IMEI number was not found. They are suggesting that my phone has already beeen locked on a plan.
My phone was purchased as "new" and "unlocked". I am beginning to think that it was not unlocked
I purchased the phone on ebay, the seller has been ignoring my messages.
Any suggestions, help anyone. What should I do?
Whats the use having a BB without having to enjoy the full extent of the product?
Thanks!!!

You should first call them and explain politely that you purchased the device used, and that the former owner did not UNregister the PIN & IMEI from their account, and ask them to release it. They don't have to do so for you, not being the account holder, but they should.

  • My Pearl 8100 is not recognized by my Windows 7 computer and Desktop SW 6.0

I cannot get my newly installed desktop software (v6.0) to detect my Pearl 8100 when I connect it through USB.  Upon the first software installation, it will recognize and sync once but after disconnecting and reconnecting, it will not detect.  I have to unload the software and re-load in order to get another detection.  Any ideas why it will not detect on subsequent connections?  The USB cable does not appear to be the issue.

  • Unlock Page Issues: IMEI not found (errorCode.ULP2003)

    Hello ,
I am not an at&t customer and would like to unlock my device. I bought the at&t device off the motorola online store but later realized that the device is locked to at&t. I found this link when I was looking for a solution online. When I try to unlock the device using the device unlock page I get this message saying that the IMEI number I have entered is not a valid one.  Following are the details that you requested :-
    Cell number - ***
    Device Make - Motorola X2 (2014)
    Device IMEI - ***
    Email address - ***

  • Pearl 8100-Rogers not turning on-Red light blinking

    Hello
I have new Blackberry Perl 8100.I got this from Rogers. It was sitting in box for few month.I tried turning on but it is not turning on.I left the phone in charge for more then 2 hour and it is still not turning on.
I tried taking out battery but and replacing back in but stillit is not turning on.I can only see red light blinking.nothing else.pls help me .thank you.

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).
If it doesn't boot--try using a wall outlet charger if you are not. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed, which you can download below.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.
    Download Desktop Manager from here:

  • IMEI not found by network

Just tried to get my 3 iphone 3GS unlocked and they say the phone doesn't exist as the IMEI isn't in their system.  What now?  I bought it from them 2 years ago and don't have the receipt - the phone does exist as I've been using it and topping it up with them so what can I do now?  Don't fancy paying £109 to get a third party to unlock it.

The only official way is through the carrier, in your case AT&T.
All other web unlock services are a hack.

  • BB Pearl - 8100 Bluetooth: "Unable to locate Object Push Server..."

I just purchased a New 2009 Audi A4 that has Bluetooth, however my Blackberry Pearl (8100) does not correctly transfer the Phonebook.  Based on what I've read on various message boards, I should be happy it at least functions to make & receive calls, however when I try to sync the phonebook, I receive an Error:  "Unable to locate Object Push Server..."
My BB Pearl has the following OS Version - 4.2.1.96 (Platform 2.3.0.78).
Based on the Official Audi Documentation, Research In Motion (RIM), Blackberry 8100 (Pearl), GSM, 4.2.0.51 was certified to work with the car.  I assume (maybe incorrectly) since I'm at a higher version, I should be ok.  I reviewed and have tried several options below, however have not been successful.
    1.  Turn on Car & Pair, disconnect Phone, then Reconnect and manually "Transfer Contacts"
    2.  Move Contacts into a Specific Category, then in the Bluetooth Menu just sync that particular category...manually " Transfer Contacts"
    3.  Disable Encryption & manually "Transfer Contacts" In my Bluetooth menu, it says the following Bluetooth Options are available:
    Discoverable: Yes
    Allow Outgoing Calls: Always
    Address Book Transfer:  All Entries
    Led Indicator:  On
    Services
    - Headset
    - Handsfree
    - Dial-Up Networking
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,- Nick

I too have a 2009 A4 Avant Audi - initially the BB and car paired beautifully, but after two weeks the phonebook would no longer transfer.  I managed to solve the problem by deleting the call log.  the BB keeps a lot of history and it seems as if over time, the memory get clogged, preventing the transfer of the telephone book.  On trying to doing it manually, you then get the unable to locate object push server.  Try it, it worked for me

    1. Verify that the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and BlackBerry Device Software are installed on the computer.
    2. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry. Do not re-insert.

  • Computer with Vista not recognizing my Pearl 8100 through USB

Hi my computer will not recognize my Pearl 8100 through USB connection and my computer is a little older so it doesn't have Bluetooth to try that. I've read some of the info from others having similar problems and I have checked my cable which is fine and have tried using a USB slot on the back of my computer rather than a USB hub to no avail. Any other ideas?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Here is the list of troubleshooting KB's...hopefully something will be useful:
    KB02640 Troubleshooting USB connections
KB15486 Top 10 BlackBerry smartphone and BlackBerry Desktop Manager troubleshooting tips
KB11439 BlackBerry Desktop Software does not detect the BlackBerry smartphone when it is connected
KB00019 No PIN displayed in BlackBerry Desktop Redirector
Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these.
    Hopefully something there is helpful!

  • Blackberry pearl 8100 as a tethered modem - once worked fine but not anymore

For about a year upto late Sept 2008 I had been using my bb pearl 8100 as a tethered modem.  Although it was slow I was able to access the internet from my desktop pc.  But for some unknown reason in late Sept 2008 that all changed - i.e. I can longer access the internet from my desktop pc via the pearl - and neither I nor my ISP can work out what why.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled bb desktop manager (three different versions, the latest being 4.2.2.6), I have updated my device software, I have updated the modem drivers, I have installed the desktop software on 2 other computers and connected the pearl but I continue to experience the same problem, that being that although I am able to establish a phone connection little or no data is being transmitted.  The best I have been able to acheive is sending about 35k of data and receiving about 2.5k over a 3 hour period.  On most other occassions no data is exchanged at all although a connection is established.  Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?  If so, how (if you did) did you  resolve it?  I'd also welcome any suggestions from others who think they have a solution.  Thanks. J.

in windows XP you can try:
    1. Select Start> Settings> Network Connections.
    2. Double-click the New Connection Wizard. New Connection Wizard will open.
    3. Click Next.
    4. Select the option Connect to the Internet. Click Next.
    5. Select Setup my connection manually. Click Next.
    6. Select Connect using a dial-up modem. Click Next.
    7. If the Select a Device screen appears, select the Modem - Standard Modem check box. Click Next.
    8. In the ISP Name field, type a name for your connection. Click Next.
    9. In the Phone number field, type * 99 #. Click Next.
    10. Indicate which users will have access to the connection. Click Next.
    11. Enter your user name and password provided by your service provider. Click Next.
    12. Click Finish.
    13. In the Connect window, click Properties.
    14. In the Properties window, verify that Modem - Standard Modem appears beneath the Connect using heading, then click Configure.
    15. In the Modem Configuration window, clear the Enable hardware flow control check box and make sure all of the other boxes are not checked above. Click OK.
    16. In the Properties window, click OK
in Ubuntu, I can not try it but I've tried in XP and succeeded.... good luck

  • No browser icon on Pearl 8100

Hiya... I am in a world of pain...
Sorry - quite a bit of background on this...
In 2009 my husband bought me a brand new Blackberry Pearl 8100 from the internet (he can't remember exactly where from). I put my existing O2 sim in it, expecting to be able to access the internet/emails, but neither were available to me. A quick call to O2 cleared that one up - my sim was Pay & Go and at that time, O2 were not doing Blackberry web & email on Pay & Go. I used it as a phone for a bit, got peeved (wanted internet and emails!) and bought a Samsung Tocco lite which I have been using up until last week when I found out that, since last July, O2 were now doing Blackberry internet on Pay & Go.
So, I excitedly purchase a bolt on from O2, shove my sim in my lovely Blackberry Pearl, get excited when I see the new icons for Facebook and Google etc... and then I realise that there is no browser option. No globe icon, nothing. The only way I can see a browser icon is if I press the menu key and select 'Switch Application'. The 'phone then says 'requesting', then offers me an option to sign up for Yahoo Messenger. If I hit the 'back' button, the screen goes blank. If I accept 'download', I get: 'Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Yahoo'.
I have set up my emails and they work fine. If I click on links in emails, I just get a blank screen.
I have spoken to O2 who have said that 'everything is fine their end' and there is no reason why I can't find a browser icon. They told me to check out the latest Blackberry download so my 'phone is updated. So, I have installed what I believe to be the latest version but that has had no effect whatsoever.
A battery pull (well, about a hundred of them actually..) has also had no effect).
I am close to throwing the flaming thing up the wall. Please help me save my beautiful little 'phone from such a cruel fate... any ideas?
    (OS release: v4.2.193)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi there!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you could investigate further updating your BB OS...here is a process to do that:
From a PC, you can install any OS package to a BB via this procedure:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. You can even use a different carriers OS package by simply inserting, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software
Good luck and let us know!

  • Pearl 8100 Wont respond or turn on

    Hello folks
i have a pearl 8100 and last week it ran out of battery...however when i charged it the phone did not turn on and has not since...however the alarm still rings and the green indidcator light still flashes...when the alarm rings i cannot use the keypad to stop it so i have to remove the battery...and the phone doesnt turn on...when i press the power button nothing happens...zip...no response.....
any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated

I have a similar issue, only its for my wife's blackberry. She has an 8130 Pearl and had lost her blackberry over the weekend. We found it eventually but the battery was completely dead. I plugged it into the charger to have it charge but it will not turn on. A friend of mine had a similar issue and they suggested charging the device for 24 hours, but still no go.
The charger does work as I confirmed that with my other blackberry phone and when the pearl is "powered on" it shows all the indications of being off, however I can still call the phone and it will ring, the alarm will sound and the light blinks when there are messages received. However I cannot dial out nor see anything on the screen and the keys do not light up. Outside of the alarm coming on and being able to call the phone myself, I'd think that the phone was completely off.
I've pulled the battery and ran the update through desktop manager, and still it will not come on! I'm at the point of pulling out the rest of my hair.... Any ideas?

  • BB pearl 8100 upgrade

hi marianne , you have to know first , the Pearl 8100 can take only the OS 4.5 maximun . The pearl cannot even take the 4.6 so you cannot put the 4.7 . i hope it will help you.

  • Pearl 8100 Battery Issues

My BB Pearl 8100 is always losing battery charge.  Anybody else having this issue and how can I fix it?  I charge my BB at least 3 times a day.  Once in the morning plugged into the outlet, once during the day at work through a USB port on my computer, sometimes I have to use the car charger to hold me over until I get home to plug it back into the outlet.  I'm extremely frustrated and would have never bought this phone had I known I was dealing with this problem.  And by the way, I only bought this BB (first one), sometime in July.  PLEASE HELP!  Thanks

I just got my BB 8120 yesterday and I was told (after the fact) that its good practice to let your new phone charge for 24 hours.  Of course I wasn't told this by my Wireless company... I was told this by a friend of mine that was told this by a rep at a store location....
I just got off the phone with my Wireless Tech Support, and they said that it doesn't hurt to let it charge, so that the battery learns to build it's charge as it goes along.  I was told that in essence, you should be able to get at least 4 days of use out of the phone.
So... we will see.  I will post back and let you guys know if it worked.  If not I will be returning the phone for replacement in a week

  • Pearl 8100-Should the BBpin at the back of the phone match the BB pin programmed in the phone

I have a BB pearl 8100. My phone was purchased refurbished. I was informed by an unlocker that my phone was refurbished by blackberry and it appears as if they had disabled the pin (at the back part of the phone ) and reprogrammed the phone with   a new pin. As such my phone is useless and can only be used for basic mobile services. i have been unsuccefull in applying a data plan on my phone.
Is this true? Is there anything that can be done?

    No, PINS are not recycled.
It's more likely that O2 never blacklisted it.
