My BB Storm is deleting all of my old calendar entries in Outlook! HELP!

I've seen this raised a few times with different handsets, and different email/calendar clients, however, I've yet to find a BB Storm messing around with Outlook 2009. However, am guessing that its a generic BB problem that messes up ALL email/calendar clients!
In short - I've followed the advice on the Vodafone website, to reset the sync settings in the DM, and then set them back up again - DIDN'T WORK.
I've also ensured that on the Handset/Calendar options, that they are set to be kept - FOREVER, makes no difference!
I don't know what to do next. I really, really need to keep all of my old diary entries for client reference and notes etc. I can't have one-way sync, as I often make appointments when out and about, and its CRUCIAL that the handset then updates the laptop the next time they are sync'd, so that both diaries are always showing all information, all of the time, as well as having the full history.
Can I make this work, or should I be resigned to the fact that in all these years, RIM hasn't worked out that business people need to keep records of important stuff like this!?
Richard

I am faced with the same issue and reluctant to sync my calendar now.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Unsync + sync = all calendar entries gone! Help???

So I had my contacts and calendars synced with mobile me. I went into settings on my iphone and unsynced them both. Then realised that that deleted all my contacts and calendar entries from my iphone. So I synced it back up.
But all my calendar entries are gone! They're not on mobile me and they're not on my iphone! They seem to be completely gone! Is there anyway to get them back? I'm really screwed if I can't get them back.
Also, my contacts won't seem to sync back to my phone. I'm not as worried about them, though, because they are still no my mobile me.
    Please help!

    Ok,
I backed it all up.   One thing i did notice while backing up...
When doing the custom backup, I noticed two entries on my device..  Calendar and Calendar-all
There are 447 entries on my calendar-all which DO NOT show up on my Outlook calendar and
5 entries on the calendar that DO show up on my Outlook calendar.
This could be a clue.  Now that I think about it, this issue showed up around the time that I updated my bb software to 4.5
Any idea what is the difference between calendar and calendar-all?

  • My iphone just deleted all of my future calendar events and I am unable to retrieve them via icloud or anything else???

My iphone just deleted all of my future calendar events and icloud and any other method has failed to bring them back...any help would be great!

Have you checked that all of the calendars were checked, so they displayed? In the Calendar app, select "Calendars" at the bottom and make sure they are all checked. In the IOS Settings, make sure the right accounts are there.

  • How to delete all files on old mac?

Just got a new Mac Dual Core Intel Xeon for my main work computer. Transferred files from old G5 Tower to this new computer. NOW, I need to erase all files on the old G5 so new user can start from scratch (reinstall software, delete all of my old files, etc.)
What is the best way to do this so that all is erased properly and no settings carry over from my user account?
    THANKS in advance!

This is how you can erase the HD inside your iMac
-Insert the installation disc 1 and sthut down your Mac
-Start your Mac again while holding down the C key
-Now your Mac should boot from the CD, this can take some time.
-After a while you will see a installation screen where you can chose a language.
    -Chose English and continue.
-Then click some time's next and agree with the "Software Agreement".
-Open Disk Utility. Top menu bar --> Utilities --> Open Disk Utility.
-Select your hard disk in the list of disks and volumes on the left side
-Go to the erase tab on the right side
    -Select "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)"
    -Type "Macintosh HD"
    -Click to the options button
-Select the option "Zero Out Data"
    -Press OK
    -Press the erase button
-Wait until Disk Utility is ready and close it
Now you can extit the installer or continue to install a clean OSX.

    Hey All,
We have just moved to daylight saving and all my calendar entries moved with the clock but ended up 1 hr late. SO i deleted them in teh phoen, plugged it in to sync with outlook in my office and it deleted most of my calendar entries.
AAAhhhh, Help, i have lost my work schedule and booking lists form now on. I was albe to stop it, but it started with the future and worked backwards so i lost everything from now on. I have all my past appointments though.
Can any one help me to restore teh lost appointments in outlook?
    Mych appreciated yours Nathan,

    Hi Thanks for that,
The only file i can access in outlook is the deleted emails file. There is no deleted items file for calendar entries. However i did delete a calendar entry manually and it came up in that file.
Do you know of anywhere else that deleted items may go?
    Thanks Nathan,

I did a software upgrade to IOS6 and my Iphone4S is now unable to update. Do I lose all my contacts and calendar entries when I restore?

You should be syncing all your contacts and calendars with your computer, either via iCloud or iTunes, so it is easy to re-sync them back to the phone after you restore.

I use an iPhone 5, and want to sync my phone calendar and contacts with Outlook 7 calendar and contacts; two problems--I now get dozens of new calendars every time, and my outlook calendar will not sync at all.; meaning that date entries on Outlook do not come across ot iPhone.

It is unusual for the calendar to sync and not the contacts in Outlook. I've worked with Outlook for years. You didn't answer what computer OS you are using. If it is Windows, have you tried to reset the sync history in iTunes? Do that by opening iTunes, go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and click on reset sync history. If you have done this and it doesn't help, then we can try and run scanpst.exe on your Outlook file and see if there are any errors. Search your computer for that file, however it normally resides in one of the Microsoft Office folders in the folder Program files. After that, you can see if it will sync.

  • Is it possible to change timezones without changing time of all your old calendar entries?

moved cities and when I use local timezone all my old calendar entries shift 5 hours.  anyway to stop that?

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but it tells me to either set it on or off.  If I leave it off, then all my entries from when I was living in NY are five hours off because I live in London now.  If I turn it on and set it to NY, then all my current entries are off.  I need to look back at my calendar (Yahoo) quite a bit, not just for pending appointments.

  • How can I delete ALL of my Address Book entries and start fresh?

Yes. I know that sounds extreme, but……
I use Outlook on a PC at my office, and I have an sbcglobal/Yahoo mail account. I look upon my office Outlook as my ultimate contacts list (over 1,100 entries) and my calendar.
I use the sbc supplied free Intellisync software to sync all of my calendar and contacts from my office PC into sbc/Yahoo. That way I actually get e-mail reminders of appointments, etc. in addition to my Outlook notifications. It is actually pretty nifty.
I have also successfully signed-on to my Yahoo account at home on my MAC and exported all of my contacts from Yahoo (which had been populated by the PC Outlook listings via Intellisync) onto my desktop and then imported them into Address Book. But I did that some time ago and now my Outlook listings have been updated rather substantially. I would like to able to do a complete re-install of the new and improved contacts from the Yahoo repository.
Again - I certainly do not want to delete the Address Book app itself – I just want to start with a clean slate so there are no conflicts or duplicate entries (which in fact is seemingly a bug in the Yahoo/Intellisync. Is there a way to completely wipe clean all of my Address Book entries?
    Thanks

    Hello Allan -
Your help on a previous post was great re: my wanting to know how to delete the Address Book contents so I can re-import an updated list form my office Outlook, via my yahho/sbcglobal import.
Well - here is an interesting quandary:
I have successfully exported my yahoo address book/contacts as a .vcf file Yet - once I have expunged the prior Address Book data and want to now import the NEW Yahoo data to rebuild the database it only takes (enters) the phone numbers and does NOT import ANY of the address information. I am positive I did this once since our original exchange and everything transferred just fine, but now….?!
What I cannot determine is where the fault may be: does the export NOT include the addresses (in which case I am doing something fundamentally stupid wit the export) or the vcf cards are complete, but Address Book is not “seeing” anything other than the phone #s and e-mail addresses.
    Any thoughts?

  • Delete all-day events in calendar

    Hi,
The iCal on my MacBook Pro and iPhone syncs all-day events and now I have hundreds of duplications appearing. Is there a quick way to delete all the repeated entries. It takes forever to do it manually.
    Many thanks,

Go to www.icloud.com and see how many calendars are there.

  • How do I delete all of my old inbox messages at once

I just got rid of my beloved Blackberry and got an i-phone. I set up my e-mail and suddenly there are over 3,000 old messeges in the in box. (They were all previously read). No way I am going to delete them one at a time. Can they be deleted all at once? Also when the phone goes into auto lock I don't hear my tone if I get an e-mail. I would like the phone to vibrate and for the tone I chose to sound when I get an e-mail.

Contact your email provider and ask if they have IMAP.  If not, you're going to hate using POP on multiple devices.  POP is an old email protocol designed when people used a single computer and email client to access their email.  It's not practical for most who need to access email on several different devices.

  • My iphone has just deleted all my contacts without any explanation. Any help?

    Hello,
My iphone 4 version 5.0.1 has just deleted all my contacts without any explanation. Suddently my girlfriend called and I could only see her number, not her name.
I went to contacts and there was nobody in there!!! Even more, there are also no contacts on my ipad mini!!!! That's weird. What's happening?
I have gone to www.icloud.com and although there are some contacts, contacts are not synced with the latest updates, I also don't know why.
The most important thing in a phone are its contacts! I thought that apple was providing a complete backup solution, but I am afraid it is not reliable.
What can I do? What can Apple offer to me?
Is there a way of restoring an icloud copy directly from the iphone? I have thought on restoring and updating to ios7 and ask for icloud to put my backup copy of today in the morning, but it is possible that icloud does another copy and rewrites the 7am working copy. I have disconnected wifi in order to avoid a copy on icloud without contacts.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
    Sincerely,
    Jordi

    Hi Jordi,
I have the exact same problem and judging by the other posts we are not alone. The one thing that seems to be lacking is any official word or support from Apple - a "bury the head in teh sand" strategy appears to be the chosen response from one of the worlds biggest brands.
I took it to my Apple store and they were about as much use as chocolate over gloves and told me "this can happen sometimes"???? Seriously, this from an Apple Genius!!??!?!?
I have not had any joy with iCloud back up so I'm afraid I cant offer any help.
I will be going to Twitter and Facebook to try to get some action from Apple so I suggest we all do the same and create a noise that Apple cannot ignore....

  • Synch deleted all my contacts and calendar

I formatted my laptop due to virus, than I downloaded i-tunes.
later i connected my I-phone to the laptop and did the synch process in order to copy my contacts from my i-phone to outlook.
Unfortunately I noticed that after finishing the synch. no contacts appear in outlook, so I checked my i-phone and was shocked to see that all my contacts and calendars were deleted.
    Please help urgently.
    Thanks\Alain

Easy... Just restore your contacts to Outlook from any of the backups you've made before formatting your computer, then sync them back to the phone.

  • Got a new iphone , how to delete all contacts from old iphone

I got new iphone 3gs and now I want to delete all the contacts and photos from my old iphone 3g. Any ideas?

Two choices: 1. Plug your 3G in, iTunes running, hit the restore button. Restore the phone as a new device. Eject when finished, do not sync. 2. Plug the phone into a wall outlet(can take several hours), then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings.
