My BB Z10 Shut Off Suddenly

Hi Guys,
I just wanna share and say that I'm totally dissapointed with this new product, its not common for gadget that we called smartphone. My Z10, after about a month usage, it started to get trouble and error every where which are :
- The screen always goes dreary slowly and then its shut Off, and I must remove the battery more than three times, then the device start again.
- BBM offenly restart by itself, and Re Invite again in all groups BBM I have.
- the Camera suddenly stop working and the device goes Off
- The signal is totally unstable
- The battery is suck, twice until three times a day I must charge
- etc.
That is really annoying and not worthed for a gadget that we called smartphone, actually I like with the new style "peek to see the hub motifications" but all that problems above really annoying.
Please is there anyone that can help me with that issues. Thanx.

The reboot issue is known.
But your other problems seem like you have a lot of junk or maybe sideloaded Android apps on your phone. I would suggest that you save only your music, pictures, etc and reload the operating system.
Yes, exactly. And I'd strongly recommend making sure you install an OS 10.1 version.

  • My computer shuts off suddenly w/o warning

Hi - I recently upgraded my older white Mac to Lion system and a week or so ago put in a new battery. The instructions for the battery were to put the energy saver/sleep on "never" until the battery completely ran down the first time. After the computer shut off suddenly without the usual "your battery is low" warning, I remembered to put it back on energy saver mode but it's still shutting off w/o warning if I don't keep an eye on it and plug it in before it dies. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Hi Sharusz,
If you are having unusual power/battery issues that are leading to sudden unannounced shutdowns, you may want to try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). You may find the following article helpful:

You may also want to try re-calibrating the battery again, just in case the charge status is being misreported to the computer:

OS 10.1 is the process of being released this week and over the next few weeks.
I'd upgrade to that, or if you cannot do so now, I would recommend wiping and reloading the most recent available to you.

  • Intel iMac shutting off suddenly, not coming back for hours

    Hello,
Last night my iMac suddenly shut off; I tried for about twenty minutes to turn it back on (I tried the power button, unplugging and replugging, changing outlets...), then gave up. This morning I tried it and it worked just fine, but after several hours it shut off again. That was about three hours ago and it hasn't come back yet. Curiously it shut off right before iSight was going to snap a picture in Photo Booth, and I just can't remember if that's when it happened last night too...
    Any help?

Sounds like an overheating problem. You could try to reset the SMC and see if that helps, if not it probably needs to go to the shop.

  • Computer shuts off suddenly

i have a satellite Firefox laptop 305-d . it just shuts off with no warning . sometimes its takres awhile when its been turned off for a while and when its been on it does it alot . anybody got ideas ?

I have a similar problem with my L675D-57016.  I have tried several times to reboot it to factory conditions using both the discs that I created right after openin the laptop and the internal harddrive with the same result.  The computer will ramdonly click off even the LED lights in the front go completely out.  This is a very disapointing problem because I have an older toshiba laptop that is an absolute trooper and can be fixed no matter what. Please help me with a solution to my problem.  It would be a real same if your product qualtiy has dropped that far so quickly, becuase it used to be the best out there.

  • Macbook Shuts Off Suddenly

i am using macbook from 2 years... with windows xp pro in dual boot with bootcamp software but my macbook had started giving a strange prob.. it shuts down all of a sudden automatically. i have to power on it again. the batteries r not low... batery don't have any prob... do any 1 have solution? Moderators plzz help.

LIkely issue: the power supply. You can verify this easily.
    1. Boot your MacBook, and leave it on while you're nearby. Note when it switches off.
    2. Reboot your Macbook. Make the same observations.
    3. If the interval gradually decreases, power supply is the issue. This must be repaired by Apple.
It's less likely to be this common software issue:

    ...since it's happened only now.

  • Z10 shuts off PC wifi

When I connect my Z10 to my PC to charge it my PC wifi connection is dropped.  I have to disconnect the phone from the PC and manually reconnect to my wifi router.  If I reconnect the phone the same thing happens.

That sounds more like a PC issue rather than a BlackBerry issue. Yes, it happens when you connect your BlackBerry, but for some reason it's your PC that is losing its Wi-Fi connection when something is plugged in to it. I, for one, can't suggest any remedy because to me it's clearly an issue with your PC and not with your BlackBerry.
    Cheers.

  • Iphone 4 shut off suddenly.

After completing a call my screen turned black. It will not turn on, reset, charge, or connect to itunes. It was working fine all day?

This happened around 6pm last night. Tried charging it for hours afterwards and resetting holding down the power and home button. The apple logo does not appear when plugged in or holding down the buttons. Even when I connect the usb to a computer it doesn not recognize my device. (tried several usb cords as well)

  • Satellite P10 - Notebook suddenly shuts off during application

My Satellite P10 has a problem since about 1 month. During several applications (for example games) it shuts off suddenly, without any message or comparable warning.
Is it possible, that it's getting to hot?
It worked without any problem for over a half year!
Could it be, that there's only some dirt in the ventilation? And can I clean it myself without any problems?
If I had a PC I would just open and clean it. But this is my first notebook and I don't have too much experience with the intereor of it.

    HI there,
I normally clean any dust from my A30 on a weekly basis, either by blowing through the outlet vents on the back of the notepad, or by using a domestic vacuium cleaner hose on the fan intake grills oin the bottom of the unit. This avoids having to remove the CPU heat sink which may invalidate your warranty.
I also make sure that the notepad is never placed directly onto carpets or cushions or other soft surfaces since this will either block the air intakes or provide a ready source of dust and debris which will get sucked into the unit.
There is a setting in the Device Manager to enable the cooling to be set for 'maximum performance' or 'Minimum noise'. The effect of the former is to allow the CPU to run at maximum speed (which may involve the fans running at their maximum, whereas the latter will cause the CPU to slow down when it is getting too hot thereby allowing the fans to run much more slowly. I believe the post from 'Heaven' related to a fauly chip on the mother-board which was making the fans run permanently.

  • My ibook G4 shuts off randomly without warning when it's plugged in.

I have a ibook G4 (late 2004) running leopard. I recently (a month or so) installed a new HD, since original finally failed. I have been running my ibook on power only for 3 years, since my battery stopped charging.
In the last few days my computer has started shutting off completely without a pattern or warning. I hear a single click as it shuts off.
This began when I was using hulu and wanted to plug the video adapter in as a larger display on my TV. In order to do this, I closed the ibook (putting it to sleep) while on hulu. Plugged in the video adapter and opened the ibook. It seemed that my computer had shut off suddenly when I opened to awaken it. I held down the power button to hard reset it, not knowing if the comp. was off or not. A low-long beep came from within the computer and the sleep button blinked very quickly about 8 times or so(too fast to count).
Ever since then I can't trust it to stay on for any amount of time. Sometimes it will shut off as it is booting. Other times it may run for several hours then suddenly shut off.
I am wondering if some other part of this ibook is dying or if I created an issue with the video adapter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

  • 8100AV starts then shuts off

I could use some guidance on troubleshooting steps to isolate this problem. My Mac was stored for about 3 years in its box in an AC controlled environment. Now we want to get some files from it - it started up and ran for about 10 minutes then shut off suddenly. It would not restart. Unplugged the cord after waiting about 15 minutes and it started again ran for 5 minutes and shut off (not shutdown just off like it was unplugged). The next day tried again and it started for about 10 seconds before shutting off. The first two times it started it asked to set the date and time so the pROM battery must be dead.
What steps should I take to troubleshoot? I've done the following:
    1. try a different power cord
    2. try the keyboard button and the button in the back
    3. vaccum the power supply a little (not very well) it is not super dirty

Can you feel the power supply fan's flow of air out the back of the computer's case? What you've described can occur when a failing or dead fan doesn't maintain a tolerable temperature within the power supply. When it gets hotter than it should, a thermal trip kicks in and turns off the computer to prevent any permanent damage. The fact that you can restart the computer after a cooling down period, only to see the computer shut down again after a brief period, is symptomatic of power supply fan failure. Check the fan's ouput, and if it's only producing a weak flow of air, you should open up the computer's case and try blowing out any internal dust from the power supply/cooling fan. You'd be surprised to see how much dust gathers on the backside of the fan blade itself, even though the power supply looks relatively clean from the outside. I'd recommend using a can of compressed air and not a vacuum cleaner internally, because the vacuum cleaner's plastic attachments acquire a static charge. With the cover off, turn ON the computer and visually observe the fan's movement. If it runs intermittently or not at all, you should disassemble the power supply and replace it. Some users have gotten more life out of old/weak/noisy fans by spraying the shaft with WD40 or an equivalent product, to lubricate the worn sleeve bearing. The results of this procedure are mixed, because in cases of fan failure, the cause is often a weak magnetic field that's inadequate to spin the blade.

  • 1st Generation iMac G5 shuts off all of a sudden

My iMac G5 keeps shutting off all of a sudden. Also when I turn it on it shuts off 2 out of 3 times in about 5 secs. anyone have any ideas on whether this is a hardware or a software problem?
I had the power supply replaced through the warranty agreement about 2 yrs ago.

I too have a rev a imac and I too had problems a year ago, with kernel panics and sudden shutdowns. I took it for repair after noticing capacitors bulging and leaking, just to the right of the power socket. The bad capacitors had "x" on the bottom. I was told the mid plane had been replaced and everything seemed to be ok.
    Guess what?
3 days ago, it started happening again.
Just now I had a look in the back, and surprise, surprise, there are bulging and leaking capacitors, this time to the left of the power socket. Again the leaking capacitors are ones with "x" on the bottom. All the other capacitors have a "y" on the bottom.
I suggest you take the back off your imac and visually inspect the capacitors.
i am very very annoyed at this situation.
The las fault occured when my imac was 11.5 months old, so I panicked and paid for Applecare. Then I found out that the warranty had been extended on all rev a imacs. Now my imac is one month short of 3 years old, and again this is happenign just before my apple care runs out.
This does not give me any faith in the future of my imac.

  • Keyboard lights suddenly shut off

I'm a noob with an early 2011 MBP 13" i7 running Lion and I've noticed that the keyboard backlight has started to suddenly shut off randomly.
It's only happened a couple times and the last time it did I actually could turn it back on by pressing the correct button, but the time before that I had to restart the thing.
Am I crazy or is my mac posessed?

    Hello Dave the Revelator!
Have you checked in the System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard "automatically illuminate keyboard in low light"? If yes, it is normal. When the light sensor is receiving bright light, the keyboard lightening is switched off.
