MY BBM , BLACKBERRY WORLD, FACEBOOK APPS AND OTHER IM APPS STOPPED WORKING ON MY HOME WiFi CONNECTION

Please I am wondering if anyone will have solution to my BBM problem , I am presently using my blackberry on home wiFi connection as I have ended my contract with my network provider(virgin). The BBM, IM applications ( yahoomessenger, window live, AIM, talk) ,my facebook apps and blackberry world were all working fine even with different wifi connection. But recently I am unable to use all these above mentioned applications more importantly my BBM as I needed it badly to communicate. Initially , I thought it was the internet connection at home but I found out the browser and two other applications I have are working perfectly. I don't know if anyone will have an idea of any solution to this problem. 
I would appreciate any effort towards solving this problem.

BBM requires an active BlackBerry data plan. As for others, try downloading the latest version of App World from www.blackberry.com/appworld and then update your Facebook and Twitter apps, most should work via WiFi only.

    If you look at the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads. It appears you are not the only two having this problem.
    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

    Sorry, no. If Facebook isn't compatible with the current iOS it's on Facebook to make its app compatible.
    Have you tried to access facebook via safari? I personally abandoned the app years ago due to it being very buggy. I access it via safari with no issues

    Since updating AppWorld has nothing to do with the Facebook app there is no way to know why your Facebook app won't work. Did you update anything else after updating Appworld? Do you have a BB data plan on your account? This isn't always necessary any more but either wifi or some type of data plan is required for the apps to work..

  • BB 8220: App World can't download and Facebook App stopped working!

    Good day!
    I have a BB Pearl Flip running on OS4.6.0.155 and everything seems to be working just fine: the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even my apps but suddenly, while I'm surfing the net using my BB (via Wi-Fi), my FB app stopped responding and I thought there was just a limited connection but since then I can't access my FB app anymore wherever hotspot I go. It's just stuck on the loading page but I have my Twitter app working though. And in another event, I am trying to download the BlackBerry App World in my BB but it failed because of some error. I also tried downloading the FB app v. 1.9 (since I have a v. 1.7 only) but also failed. What seems to be causing these problems? And why can't I download BB App World (as well as any BB apps) anymore whereas I've downloaded my Twitter app before and it worked successfully?
    It's bad enough that I can't upgrade my OS to version 5 but do I have to suffer being denied of access to my FB app and other downloadable apps on the BB site?
    Help me please.

  • Facebook app stopped working

    I cannot get my facebook app on my iphone4 to allow me to post status updates or check-in places. It used to work just fine, now it just stopped. It keeps saying the error message below if I try to check in & if I post a status it lets me type and click post, but then the status never shows up. I've emailed facebook support & reported the app problem but nobody (not surprisingly) responded to my complaint. I uninstalled & reinstalled the app and I still have the same problem. Everything is up to date on the phone.  Basically the app is just a read only for the news feed & profiles, etc. Any reason why it stopped working or where I can go for someone to fix it??? Thanks!!!

    Thank you for your post. Please try and perform a soft reset on your device using *#7780# the security code by default is 12345.
    Performing a soft reset will not delete any of your data, however it will restore all your device settings to how they were when new.
    If you are still experiencing problems with this app then plug your Nokia Asha 31 into your computer via usb and install(or reinstall) the latest software version using Nokia Suite.

    I tried to remove the app and reinstall it. I tried downloading a new app. I tried resetting and restarting. All other apps work ??.?

  • Navigation and other features suddenly stopped working after I upgraded to FF4.

    A day or two after I upgraded from FF 3.6 to FF4, all the ordinary navigation features stopped working. Backspace/alt-<, even the back and forward arrows, Crtl-R to reload a page, and the address field doesn't show the current URL unless I click the identify information icon. All very odd. None of the keyboard shortcuts work.
    My bookmark toolbar does not load automatically, although I guess that Vista is the source of that issue.

    Doing a downgrade is not anything I have done or feel comfortable with. Is there a clean procedure to accomplish this?

  • Office 2004 and other applications suddenly stopped working

    All of a sudden I've been getting the following with any Office application, and other applications have been exhibiting strang behavior as well. Specifically the error with any Office is:

    I can't even uninstall Office because the uninstall program generates the same error.
    Also, iChat no longer works (opens for a split second then closes without an error msg) and iMovie give the following bizarro error message:
    iMovie requires a “Quartz Extreme Compatible” graphics card. Certain iMovie features such as Themes, Ken Burns Photos, and Video FX may not work properly with your graphics card.
    I'm running an intel iMac (OSX 10.4.8)
    I have tried verifying & repairing permissions to no avail.

  • My facebook app stopped working

    So I deleted it, tried to download it but would only partially install on my iPhone.
    I then updated the software on my iTunes and iPhone  and now all apps won't update or upload on my iPhone.  The apps that I had previously on my phone are still there and are working but if I want to update them or add any new apps it won't let me.  Anyone else having the same problems or know of a fix? 
    I then try and connect my iPhone to my laptop so it can update from iTunes and it will only partially update all required updates and new updates.  This has been happening for over a week - so frustrating!

    Reset loses nothing
    Restore erases the ipod, but if you are using the iphone as designed, then everything is on your computer and you can sync it back.

     After updating App World & Facebook App, both apps are disappeared from the device, showing in the application management but both applications icon are disappeared from the main list and if I am dowloading them again message appearing that the application already exist.     Then you will need to make a backup of your device using the Desktop Software. Once you make the backup you will need to wipe the device. After you wipe the device see if those applications show up. If they do then something in your device settings is affecting the display of those icons. You can then use the Desktop Software to selectively restore just the important databases like messages, calendar, contacts, etc. Don't do a full restore as you may end up with the same problem.

    Yes tried resetting the wifi connection and problem still persist.
    Here it is...to make it clear. Connected thru the same wifi at home...
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook WEBSITES are working fine and fast when using/accessing thru a browser (chrome/samsung browser) - no problem with this.
    -> emails (yahoo/gmail) and facebook APP is soooooo sloooww (thru the App). Slow I mean comparing it to using their browser/websites... news feeds/emails refreshing so quickly but not when using the APP installed in Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Slow like - It will take around 5-10minutes just to get your emails and news feed refreshed.
    THIS HAPPENS ONLY WHEN CONNECTED THRU A WIFI which has a speed of 10-20mb. It is not happening when connected to the network data/plan.
    My wife has the same Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (coming from different provider at&t) - same setup (emails, fb app), same wifi connection, but she's not experiencing anything like it.
    Not sure why, I dont want to believe that while connected to a WIFI, Verizon is restricting anything and ******* me off to make me switch to my data plan connection everytime - which is Unfair!
    Was there a known issue similar about this case?

    Ok, what you have here is a basic 'blown fuse' problem.
    With the iPhone 3G and 3GS if you drop them in water and they stop working you can almost always revive the phone simply by oepning them up, finding the corrosion on the motherboard then cleaning it and putting it back together.
    With the iPhone 4 (and 4S) it's a different story though in that water damage causes a fuse on the motherboard to blow. Once blown, the phones can no longer receive power from the battery. They can however receive power from a wall charger, which is why your phone runs whilst plugged into a charger but dies as soon as it's disconnected. Trying to run it from a USB port wont work either as the 5V power supply gets interupted whilst the phone is booting, as such it dies part way through booting, and the cycle repeats. 
    At this stage you have 3 options:
    -have the phone replaced by Apple, or
    -replace the damaged fuse on the iPhone motherboard yourself, or
    -send the phone to a company to have the fuse repaired
    There is a company that sells the replacement components, and  they have an installation sevice too. I've fixed a couple of iPhones in my day, and unless you are very proficent with a soldering iron I strongly recommend having the repair done for you.

    I have the galaxy s5 so does my wife and daughter, and when we are at home we hook up to the wifi, and try to use that to save on data usage. for some reason it does not load photos, comments and videos for a long time. the laptop, tablets, and tv all work fine off of the wifi. we have the same issue in public wifi. any reason?

    don't always work right. But if I turn off the wif i. it works fine. I am

    You may find the camera troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
    Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    You see a closed lens or black screen
    If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
    Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
    Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
    Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
    If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping the camera swap icon . If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
