My bbm contacts won't be restored. why is that?

Every time I restore my bbm contact list I get this msg and the restore doesn't work.

  • My iPod Touch 3rd Generation will not turn on or charge at all. It won't even restore or register that it is plugged in. Please help!

    Before this happened, it kept on pressing buttons by itself and i couldn't do anything. I restored it and it still didn't work, so I tried again, and after 5 more restores, it still wouldn't work, Then the battery drained from full to dead in literally about five seconds. Now, it won't charge or turn on. My computer doesn't even say it is plugged in anymore. I've tried 3 different cords, both in a wall outlet and my computer, and it still won't work. Help!

    Well there is one thing you can try... hold down the home button and lock/sleep button at the same time and don't forget to hold it. It should turn on. (By the way what you are doing is a restart, if you were on your iPod Touch on the home screen and you did thins it would reboot, and that is exactly why you are doing this)

  • 1 more time: I installed Samsung 840EVO SSD and tried to clone the OEM drive to it. Disk Utility shows all files landed in the new SSD thru the USB to SATA converter cable yet my Mac won't boot. Why's that?

    The question is why won't my Mac boot with the new  840EVO SSD that I thought I'd successfully cloned all contents from the OEM hard drive by using a USB to SATA converter cable. Disk Utility seemed to indicate the SSD had captured everything from the OEM drive. Note the OEM had 2 partitions to run Parallels Windows XP

    XP is not supported externally or if you install Mavericks, and Microsoft is trying their hardest t o get people off that old tin can, rightly so.
    Usually Carbon Copy Cloner will. Usally. DU is not really meant to and you had 4 partitions before.
    This forum is not for MacBook Pro btw.
    Cloning with DU or CCC may do a perfect job but not be bootable if t he interface or case is not.
    The EVO is capable of 500MB/sec so even your mid-2010 MBP is not going to get the top performance but should be better once you swap it out than what you were using.

I just received another BB(Curve 8520) and am trying to restore my BBM Contacts list however it is telling me that none of my emails are synced with it. How can I get back my BBM Contacts?

    Sorry to hear you're having an issue with your BBM Contacts restoring to your device.
    Have you ever been able to use your BBM on your Z10 or are you transferring your contacts from another BlackBerry device? 
    Are you using WiFi or your data to do the BBM restore? Is there any error that displays or does it simply stick on restoring?

  • Can't restore my BBM contact list

    Hi,
    my previous phone (8520) was stolen so I got a BB 9320
    With my 8520 i had my e-mail account associated for the contact list restore (an year ago I lost my 8520 and that method worked for me).
    Now when I configure my BBM (7.0.1.23) it says something like the connection with my BBID was successful but my contact list doesn't appear.
    Also tried installing BBM 6, but when it tries to confirm my e-mail address (by sending an e-mail to my account), it never arrives. So it can't continue with the restore.
    Please I need help! I work with BBM contacts!

    Then first try those steps in the same sequence :
    1- Register your Handheld .
    KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.
    2- Resend your Service Book
    KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    ( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )
    3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back
    After than try once again to restore BBM contacts using the email account .
    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
    If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

  • Can't Restore BBM Contacts Using E-Mail

    Hello,
    I hope someone is able to help me with this.
    What I'm basically trying to do is do a restore of my BBM contacts through an email address since my last device bricked, but everytime i try to do that it tells me that my gmail is not a registered email.
    This is weird because I have used the email account to do a restore in the past and have backed up on it several times.
    Anyone able to shed any light on this ?

    I get confused to restore my bbm contact on my new device. Previously I have BB Pearl 9105 but I sold it. and now I use 8230f, I got confused how to restore my bbm contact from 9105 to 8230? Please help me, I dunno what to do..
    I try using BB Desktop but nothing happen, just phone contact has restored.

    Torch 9810, OS 7.1, SD card support with 14G free space
    After an upgrade of BBM8.5, my phone could not complete booting fo several time until I flashed it but with OS7.0, this did not restore my BBM contacts; I used my computer to restore phonebook contacts and other data but BBM contacts still was not loaded.
    I re-installed BB8.5, still to no avail. 3 days later I was re-prompted to sign in with my BB ID and I got all my 181 BBM contacts back. (Is this a remotely initiated action?)
    After this I re-installed BB OS 7.1 and again I lost my BBM contacts. I have tried everything possible to get these BBM contacts but no way; but I am sure it is somewhere in RIM remote server.
    These are my questions:
    Does BB OS 7.1 supports the easy backup and restore of BBM contacts just as it does for phone contacts?
    Can you make it easy for BB users to be able to restore BBM contacts as it is possible with phonebook contacts?
    On the custom restore option on the BB Desktop software, what is tab to select for BBM contact restore after an upgrade/update?
    Does Blackberry protect saves BBM contact details?
    Is there an unshared info/law that must be respected in getting back BBM contacts, like "wait 72hrs after an upgrade before getting back your BBM contacts?????????
    I do not have problem with Phonebook restore at all. That comes easy with my computer back-up but BBM contacts restore is a pain in the neck! Please help.

  • Restoring BBM Contact Remotely Failed

    Hi, I'm blackberry 9300 user, I'm from Inonesian,  I've never upgraded before the Operating System of my curve 9300, and the operating system was nuked (stuck while booting) after updating my blackberry application world and bbm version 7. Then I reinstall the operating system 5 to 6 version. After that, I'm forgot that my BBM contact and Phonebook it must be deleted after re-install the OS. than I want to restored all. For bbm contacts, previously I've ever backed up remotely through email, but when I progress restoring, email notifications are received, but did not want to recovery. then what's the solution? because the verification email is not detected by my handheld. I try to send verification email again and again. but it's still not detected by my handheld.

    To clarify were you using BBM 7 previously? If yes, then the BBM contacts are backed up using your BlackBerry ID, to restore your BBM contacts install BBM 7 and the contacts would restored using the BlackBerry ID.

  • MISSING BBM CONTACT CATEGORIES AFTER RESTORING

    Hello all... I recently backed up and wiped my 9700 and upgraded toOS 5.0.0.442 on my device.... I then downloaded BBM 5.0.0.57 using BB App world into my device and then restored the backup file using DM....
    My problem is that I lost several BBM Contact Categories... I had previously had 7 categories and I'm now left with only 3 categories....!! This has happened before when I wiped and restored phone from a DM backup... but usually when I used the advanced DM restore feature to restore only the phonebook and BBM contacts... it usually works... but this time.... my contact categories are permanently gone...! Anybody know a fix to this problem...?

  • IPhone 4s lost contacts & won't restore

    I Recently lost all my contacts on my 4s & have tried 5 times to restore it but it continues to lock up.
    Last night I was able to retrieve some thru a partial restore ( locked up again so I rebooted the iPhone)
    to to find most contacts. Then not 5 mins later they where gone again just by hitting any key. I've tried
    sync again with no luck. Also tried icloud backup but no luck & it only has some of my contacts which
    doesnt make much sense. I also removed the SIM card & put it back in.
    I tried turning off/on contacts button that Didn't work either. Can anyone help or is this just a complete

    You can try iPhone Data Recovery. You are provided three ways to restore contacts on iPhone, which are recovering them directly on iPhone, from an iPhone backup,and from iCloud backup files.What you have to do is very simple.
    Step 1.Install iPhone Data Recovery and connect your iPhone to your computer.
    Step 2. Choose a suitable mode to continue
    You can choose "Recover from iOS Device", "Recover Deleted contacts from iTunes" or "Restore Contacts from iCloud". You can choose a favorable mode to continue the progress.
    Step 3. Click "Scan" your iPhone
    Step 4. Preview the contacts and recover deleted them from iPhone
    I believe you can retrieve your lost contacts.
