My bbm for Q5 is stuck on restoring bbm information

Pld I need help urgently, my bbm has been stuck on restoring. Bbm information for close to a week now. I donno what else to do pls...

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.
For some info see:

i pod touch is stuck 'verifying restore' for the last 8 hrs... help??

Try putting the iPod into DFU mode and restoring again:

If that still doesn't work, then the jailbreak may have cause a corruption which is now fatal; that's not uncommon with jailbroken devices. If that is indeed the case, your iPod may be irrecoverable and you'll be shopping for a new one.
    Good luck.

  • BBM stuck on "Restoring your BBM information"

My phone worked fine for 2 months. Then after using BBM for a while this morning I opened it and it wanted me to go throught the set up process again. Well I started the set up process and go to "Restoring you BBM information". Now my phone just sits here and spins for hours. I have tried reboting the phone and checking for updates. Yet nothing works?? How can I fix this and why did it happen????

You can restore your phone to factory settings if you wish to see if it corrects your issue. Resetting to factory settings will wipe out all your data so you should save it first. To save all your stuff download and install BlackBerry Link on your computer from the link below. Resetting will not back-up the OS on your phone. Once you have downloaded and installed BlackBerry Link connect your phone to your computer and save your stuff. Once saved disconnect your phone from the computer.
To reset your phone: tap the Settings App, scroll down and tap Security and Privacy, tap Security Wipe, tap the blank box and enter blackberry.
Once Wiped reconnect your phone to your computer and install your stuff.

That does happen.  It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system.  If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

  • "transferring your bbm information" stuck on a new Q10

Hi, I recently changed my device to Q10, I was using 9790 before.
I've succesfully transferred my data to my new phone, except for the BBM. It stucked in the transfer circle saying "transferring your bbm information". it's been more than 3 hours or so. Almost every thread says that i should i upgrade the BBM in my 9790 to the latest edition first, well I did, but still it doesn't change anything.
any solution to this? i really need this ASAP. thanks!

    Hey saninoasyer,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
If you have set up BlackBerry Messenger 7 on the BlackBerry 9790 the contacts are backed up automatically with you BlackBerry ID. When you setup BlackBerry Messenger on the new BlackBerry Q10 Smartphone the contacts are restored from your BlackBerry ID wirelessly.
Let me know if you have any question.
    Thanks.

  • Ipod touch (2G) stuck in "restore" mode.  Need HELP please

I have contacted Apple support several times since Friday and was just hung up on by an extremely rude lady in customer support. I am really frustrated and just trying to get my 5 yr old little boys ipod touch working again.
The situation is that our son's old computer crashed. So we have a newer computer set up for him. Reinstalled itunes on it. Called Apple on Friday, really nice rep gave me several instructions for transfering purchases, making sure everything was up to date and turning home sharing on. Did all that, got off the phone with him and then the computer tells me that the ipod needs and update.
Clicked ok, and update starts going for a few minutes.....then get an error message that says that the ipod is basically stuck in "restore" mode and needs to be reset to factory settings. It won't let me do anything to the ipod. It won't restore, reset, anything. Just shows a picture of usb cable and says to connect to itunes.
Connect to itunes and it keeps giving me say error message.
Will someone please help me? Apple support sure won't.

Did you try to connect in recovery mode, to start the restore process again? Connecting in Recovery mode is explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Also delete the ipod ipsw firmware file on your computer, to make iTunes download a new copy to restore from. Depending on your OS, this file can be found here:
    XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
    Vista and 7: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

  • My iphone is stuck in restore mode.  I plugged into macbook and ran a restore and it is still stuck

iphone is stuck in restore mode when i did a rebook.  I hooked up to my macbook and ran a restore.   Itunes ran through the restore and now it is still stuck in restore mode.

If it won't restore in the regular restore mode, you may want to try putting it in DFU mode if you haven't already. Instructions for this are linked below.
    http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
Put it in this mode, then do a restore again through your computer.
    Hope this helps you out!

i have a classic that seems to be stuck in restore mode, the screen says "do not disconnect'' and i can't restore using itunes. i have tried resetting it and still no good, what can i do to fix this problem ?

Be good to know what the diagnostic results are.
I've also just run into an issue where I couldn't restore an iPod with a corrupt file system, and the "super fix" in that linked article wasn't working for me. I've run across a potentially useful workaround.
iPod Classic went on the fritz today just after syncing. Couldn't restore via iTunes, kept getting 1439 errors, Windows wouldn't format as FAT32, claimed the "Volume is too big for FAT32". Finally tracked down EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition (Free) and formatted as FAT32 with 128k clusters. The iPod is filling back up again. Might be worth a shot here...

  • Updating to iOS 4.0 --- Stuck on 'Restoring iPhone firmware'

So basically, I was updating my phone to iOS 4.0 and all was going smoothly until now. It has been stuck on "Restoring iPhone firmware..." for the past hour and a half. My phone had turned off and I searched around and was told to turn it back on again, but still nothing has happened. My phone says plug into iTunes, but it already is. Can anyone help me?

alright guys i just got mine to work. im on a mac, i signed into a different user name, i downloaded a fresh copy of itunes from apple, and it all worked.
dont use the copy of itunes that automatically updated from itunes. REDOWNLOAD a copy from apple. i think that was the issue.
    steps for working
    1. restart computer
    2. log into a new user name/ or try your normal one, new user name worked for me
    3. download fresh itunes 9.2 from APPLE.
