MY BBM IS NOT WORKING

hiiii i got a blackberry 9320 and everytime i go on bbm it says 'welcome to bbm' but doesnt come on

Regarding your issue , do you have BlackBerry data plan / BIS in your account from your carrier 3 , you must have it to use BBM and many other BlackBerry application over your Mobile network .

    Hi Folks,
    Looked into other threads but all problems seem to be related to older versions.
    I am new to the whole Blackberry Lifestyle.
    Currently own, Playbook (wireless) and Torch 9860 for about two weeks - enjoying them independently.
    ANY HELP would be appreciated.
    Just tried the Bridge function but the BBM does not work.
    It is funny cause my Playbook does get a notification for any BBM I receive, the remote works, the contacts can be seen on playbook but when I click on BBM notification it I get a message "Your Version of Blackberry Messenger is not compatible with Blackberry Bridge. Download the latest version of BBM to use it on your playbook.
    I did what I normally do - googled it. Found out the specs and I do have all updated apps.
    On my 9860 I have
    7.1.0 System
    Bridge 2.0.0.35
    BBM 6.1.0.55
    This is not linked to BES or anything - purely personal.
    I have already restarted my phone and playbook with no luck.
    I am new, so not sure of the difference between stuff like hard set, shutdown etc  etc or other technical terms - so would appreciate if you assume that I am a complete dummy.

    Have you tried updating to the latest version of BBM™?  If not, I would recommend trying that by going to www.blackbery.com/bbm from your BlackBerry® Browser.

  • Wi-Fi is on Internet works perfectly fine but BBM is not working, Help Please

    Hello i'm abroad right now and eyesterday the phone was working fine and all of the sudden bbm wasn't working but everything else is fine and i have almost full bars but my connections look like this

    Bluetooth                 x
    The day before beside the Wifi i had a check mark and bbm worked fine but not today.
    does anyone know why?

    nothign my bbm just wont work i doesn't have a chekc mark beside the wifi connection page...

    Hey, I just bought blackberry z10 in kuwait and my carrier is Viva , and i tried to connect the bbm over wifi it's not work for viva router ONLY !!! I dont know where is the problem !! but when I try to connect on other wifi it's work and looking fine  
    By the way, when I connect my z10 on viva router the internet and the browser it's connect BUT only BBM !!! 
    i really become confused !! HELP ME

    second. I'm the one who work in viva's carrier IT and the router is looking fine !! nothing wrong with it 
    on my ipohne i have viva line and when i turn on the hotspot and connect my z10 with my iphone's hotspot it's work !!!!!!!!!!!! only with the router !!
    is there any spicial thing to do with the setting on the router 
    BY THE WAY , my router is mobile wifi !! form Huawei

  • Z10 and BBM just not working!!!

    I have just recieved a Z10 that I am trialling for my company (currently we have 200 iPhones 4's)  and first impression is that its awesome! BUT I cannot use BBM whats so ever!
    I put my old BB ID in from when we had BB Storm 2 years ago but all I get is 'Restoring your BBM information' now I know that as a company we all had Storm 2's 3 years ago and moved to iPhone 4's when they were released.
    My issue is that it sems if you had an old version of BBM that this issue will happen, so if you take 200 existing BB users who want to use BBM again for communicating with colleagues I can see the iPhone 5 being the preferred handset if no one can use BBM!
    Please can someone tell me how the hell you resolve this, I have security wiped the handset 8 times today with no success!!!!
    If this is going to be an issue that until a fix is available I think BB will have a lot of people reviewing the phone who will decide its not for them.
    Please help I love this phone and I have to admit the iPhone 5 I would rather leave!

    Interesting...I'm not sure how your iPhone plays into this, since you used the BB ID from the Storm2...but if O2 says that the account attached to the Z10 definitely has no BIS, then that's not the issue.
    Does BBM work via WiFi? Did O2 look at anything else? After all, BBM remains part of the service plan for which you pay O2, so they should provide support, including escalation up to BlackBerry if necessary.
    Also, there have actually been widely various reports here as the carriers proceed with the necessary reconfigurations of their networks to accommodate both BB10 and prior devices. Some reported their carrier (I can't recall which) telling them that they must keep BIS in place until that network reconfiguration is complete. Others report their carrier saying that having BIS in place impedes things. And still others report services stopping, starting, stopping again and then starting again -- all for both BB10 and prior devices. Further still, folks report different answers from their carrier when they call back...it's a little crazy with the carriers, I fear.
    So, I think perhaps you need to pursue deeper with O2...as BBM should definitely work. And as that's part of your services from O2, they must take the responsibility for resolution.

  • Ringtones and BBM alerts not working

    Hi, I have created several custom ringtones and phone alerts on both mine and my husbands new BB 9320's . These were working just fine for the first few weeks but now the custom BBM alerts will not work on my phone but the custom ringtones do work.  Instead of the custom alert I've selected the alert sound for the normal profile is the one that sounds. However the custom alerts DO work for text messages ! Just not BBM !
    My husbands phone has the exact opposite problem, BBM alerts work, ringtones don't !
    The problem seems to have happened after I had installed some various Apps . So I uninstalled all those apps and I've done both a soft reboot and battery pull on each phone trying to fix this. I also deleted those contacts and their custom alert set-ups and re-added everything from scratch, rebooted again, still nothing. It's been like this for a few weeks now, I just can't figure it out .  Please help !

  • BBM/Email not working on unlocked Torch

    I have a 2+ years old BB 9800 and just brought it to Colombia and unlocked it. Before unlocking it, whenever I brought it to Colombia I just kept it at home and used it for BBM, email and WhatsApp. I turned off data services when roaming and used my wifi network for all that to avoid roaming data charges.
    Today I unlocked it to use it with a Claro SIM card. I was surprised to find out that while I DID have signal and was able to use my wifi internet with my old settings (data off while roaming, even with data just simply off) and I was able to use the wifi network to use the browser, App World, facebook, WhatsApp, etc, I was not able to use BBM, nor was I able to re-set up my email accounts, which I had deleted before unlocking the device.
    Interestingly, when it tried to sync the facebook app (working perfectly) with the BBM, it said it was not able to do so since my radio was off (and it was always on, I even turned data services on always, and it did not work then).
    I thought this problem was just with the Claro SIM card (granted I was able to text and call from it as a Claro prepaid customer) so I put the AT&T SIM card back in, and the problem persisted.
    I should also add that while I am able to use the browser, the automatic search is disabled. For example, if i type in keywords it uses it as an internet address and replaces the space for a period, so I have to go to google.com or another search engine for a search.
    Is there anything I can do to recover my BBM (pretty much the only reason why I havent switched to iPhone) and my email?

    Also, I have done the battery pull a few times, and I still can't use BBM or enter email settings. I CAN enter BBM, I just cannot send messages (red clock) or receive any, nor can I invite or receive invitations.

  • BBM, email not working on the new network

    Hi!
    I was using Vodaphone earlier, and all the function of my Blackberry were running perfectly. I could use my BBM, my email etc etc.
    Only recently I shifted to the US and took H2O sim card.( H2O uses AT&T towers.) My monthly plan gives me 500MB data free. Though I am able to use the internet (that too only through Opera Mini broswer) , my BBM, and my blackberry Email client are just not working. (I have to access my emails through an internet browser)
    I must have called up the H2O customer care service at least 10 times asking for the right configuration etc..but I have recieved no help from them at all. They keep transfering the call..and never respond.

  • Internet and bbm is not working at all

    basically i have paid for the blackberry services which was 5pounds aswell as being on dolphin plan so should have internet too but all it is sayin wen i got onto it is: thisis a Wi-Fi service. please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again ????  also my blackberry registartion is saying: your hand held has been registered with wireless network and is not working still either, can some 1 please help me thanks

  • Bbm will not work with a sim card

    My BBM will only work on WIFI without a sim card in the phone.. I have a Blackberry Classic. When i take my sim card out my BBM works great. The app store works as well it only seems to be BBM. any suggestions on what I can do to fix this

  • BBM Webportal not working ???

    Hi 
    i started to create a new Channel für BBM. I created a new Channel using the Webportal and everything seems to run fine.
    After some hours of sleeping i tried to open this portal again on :

    But nothing happens...
    I have a MacBook Pro running acutal Safari Version but also on the actual Google Chrome i only see a white screen.

    As with BillJ, I too can open your link. So I can only deduce that for some reason, it's not working for you, but is working fine in general. You will need to figure out why it's not working for you. Your report of "nothing happens", if taken exactly as written, would indicate to me a local problem -- a problem with the system you are using, the browser you are using, your local network connection, you internet connection, etc. If there are other sites you can get to just fine, that can begin to rule out those local problems, but we don't know that from you yet, so remain only guessing here.

  • New Blackberry user - my BBM is not working! Please help

    Hello,
    I've purchased my new blackberry yesterday morning. Then at afternoon I plugged it into the charger and started using.
    I sent my new bb pin to my friends and they said they sent me their contact requests to my bbpin but I'm not receiving anything.
    I also can't send any pin message. It says "service is blocked" in red.
    Please does anyone know why this problem is happening?

    Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
    You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
    So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

    Can you test sending one of these contacts a PIN message?
    Open your Messages folder > Compose PIN. You will see a D beside the message once it is delivered ot the device. Ask the user to reply to you. Do you receive the reply?

  • Bbm video not working

    My wife just picked up a new Q10
    I already have a Z10 but didn't have anyone to bbm chat with. When we tried today there was an error saying problem with the network connection. But both phones were connected to wifi here at home which was working fine at the time for everything but chat. Any ideas on how to fix this problem.
