My bbm wont work

hi i have just got blackberry curve 9300 and i keep getting asked for my enterprise email and password which i was not given, also my bbm and internet hasnt started working yet

Did you leave the BB Bolton to 48hrs to apply? And also what network are you on?

    With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive
    2) Reboot
    Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

  • Browser, applications and bbm wont work

    I am using bb curve 8520 with O2 and has been running perfectly since january. My wifi keeps going on and off which is 1 problem as its not the wifi as it works with laptop. I noticed that while it was off that my bbms weren't sending and my browser and also twitter and facebook apps didn't work. (The only apps I use all the time) I could send emails and texts and it was showing GPRS next to the grey wifi sign. But once the wifi was white these things would work but it only lasted a few minutes before going again.

    Forgot to mention I tried battery pull but this didn't work.

    Hello I have had my blackberry for the past year and I always use my wifi connection at home when my free Internet runs out, it has always worked perfectly. But today, for no reason it isn't working? I have restarted my phone, taking out the battery, tried anything I could think of and it's still not working. I really miss my bbm so is there anything you think might fix this problem? also just incase this helps you i put in my mothers sim card into my phone yesterday when i was going out because i had no credit and she did so it allowed me to have bbms and ever since i came home and put my sim card back  in my bbms havnt been working with wifi.

  • Really need help BBM not working on wifi

    ok so I've just updated my torch 9800 software and with it all of the apps, but there's the problem that my BBM wont work on wifi. why is that? I'd tried to resend the service books but there was a message about server conection problems, then I'd even tried by the BBM configuration icon in the setup menu but there was another message (imposible to configurate BBM, a temporary error was notified with the server) so I dont really know what to do... really need help this is my only comunication way with my family on the other side of the world.

    On the handset, go to:
    For OS5 and 4.x
    Options - Advanced Options - Host Routing Table
    and click Register now, and escape back to the home page.
    For OS6 and higher
    in options, device , advanced, host routing table, click on menu and choose register now.
    Wait 2 minutes and see if registration to network happens.
    Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
    Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
    From your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
    WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

  • Curve 8520- email and bbm not working

    Hello,
    Over a month ago i started having this problem with my blackberry curve. My bbm wont send or receive messages, at all. So I deleted my only contact which was hubby, and tried to add him again, but the request is just pending and he hasnt gotten a message to accept me at all. Soon after my emails stopped working as well as facebook. I could not send nor receive emails. I might also mention that I have a wi-fi conection working, i can use the browser and all, but the wi=fi symbol doesnt light up, it just stays dull.
    So i deleted the email account I had on the phone and took it into the vodafone shop I got it in. I received the phone back this week with a latter telling me they could not find these problems and that the phone had been updated and was fixed.
    It was not. So i pluged it into my laptop, tried updating and all that, also brought £10 credit incase that was the problem. Still nothing. Emails, BBM and facebook are things I use often on my phone and I would love it if anyone had any suggestions, maybe I have my settings wrong?

    Its pretty hard to understand how you lost the Blackberry Service. Kindly contact your Carrier and check if your BIS is active. You should also check if your data coverage is ON and the wireless service indicator appear as GPRS/EDGE. These indicators appear in uppercase if the BIS is up and goes back to lowercase when you lose the service.

  • My BBM wont connect to the internet, even though I have a strong internet connection.

    Hello!My phone is an Iphone 5 My BBM was working fine until the end of the day, where it would say that it was still "connecting" to my internet, even though I had strong wi-fi. I left it for 45 minutes and it was still connecting. Also, when i was sent a message on there i'd get the "preview bar" or notification and be able to read it from there, but if i were to open the app and look, my messages wouldnt have sent and i cant see theirs either! I have restarted, turned off the internet, tried my 3G etc I have also reinstalled the app 5 times, to no avail.I manage to log in, it loads for a few minuites and then gives me the "temporary server error" However, I made a new account (to see if that would work) and it worked straight away! No loading errors at all!But when I try to use my account, it wont work. Could anybody help me here? Thankyou! xxx

    Additional things to try.
    Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

  • BBM stopped working

    My wife has a Torch 9800. A few days ago she got a new SIM. Everything worked fine for a day, then her BBM stopped working. It wont send/receive. Every other BB service is working fine as are all other elements. I called the provider, they checked everything from their end and it seemed fine. I have done dozens of battery pulls, uninstalled BBM and reinstalled, sent service books......... nothing has worked.......ANY IDEAS?

  • Transparent tray icon wont work in gnome

    hi,
    im trying to create application with simple tray icon. i dont want to use all space, some parts need to be transparent. well, on windows i have no problems, icon displayed just as it should be, 16x16 with transparent parts.
    however, on linux (Ubuntu, Gnome) it wont work so nice. icon area seems so to be bigger, couse my icon appears in upper left corner and the remaining area is grey. as it is with transparent part of the image. any ideas?

  • Torch 9800 my email wont work via wifi

    I have just sync my new torch from my old bold. All info transfered perfectly including my 2 email accounts.
    I have the misfortune of living in a 2G only area on remote Island. SMS, phone calls and wifi only. I had my old Bold working through wifi hot spots onto my gmail account and it was sending and receiving emails just fine but the torch just keeps saying 'activation failed. A service connection is unavailable' each time I try to activate the account.
    Seems as though it wont work through wifi, i can surf the net with no problems 
    Any Ideas?

    Turn off the WiFi connection, and go to an area where you have a clear 2G connection (EDGE) and do the following:
    On your BlackBerry device, go to:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
    Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.

    Then, this should install the required Service Books to the Torch, and you should be able to perform all data services over WiFi as you have been in the past.

  • Key pad and trake pad wont work

    I have a curve9360 and for some reason the other day it just decided it wont work.  The phone is password protected and it wont let me type anything password or not. This morning i finally got into the phone but the trackpad wouldnt don anything except stay on the time and date at the top of the screen.  I havent had the phone long im totally lost can anyone help me please??

    For your first diagnostic step, I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
    KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
    It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode and if the behavior does not present, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
    If the behavior presents in Safe Mode, then there are much more challenging diagnostic/repair steps to attempt, none of which are guaranteed to work, especially if you have a hardware problem...which, if that is the case, would need diagnosis/evaluation by a qualified hardware technician (preferably under warranty, if you have such).

    Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
    With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
    Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
    Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
    It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
    Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
    Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
    The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
    It is also completely possible that the impact has caused physical damage.

    Check your Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > Network Technology, is yours set to 2g only?

  • Ipod is recognised under my computer but wont work in itunes,

    My ipod worked fine on my old computer i dont think i had the most recent itunes but everything was working fine i had windows XP. Now i have a new laptop with windows 7 and my ipod wont work in itunes, i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 9 and even tried itunes 8 but nothing seemed to help the situation, i know its not the cable as it shows under my computer, i have taken all my music off the ipod because it asked to reformat it i have tried that twice, i get the message your ipod needs to be reformatted for windows i click ok and it opens itunes but nothing happens, iv downloaded the 64 bit itunes as it doesnt like the 32 bit one. Iv ran a diagnostic test on my ipod but cant get past the firewire detect and usb detect maybe this is because i dont have itunes installed at the moment, any suggestions please?

    I had the same problem with my iPod classic. I got a new laptop that has windows 7 and downloaded itunes 9. As soon as itunes 9 was downloaded my ipod would not be recognised anymore. I tried everything like reformatting etc and nothing was helping. What I did was downloaded itunes 7 and my ipod was then recognised. Your problem may be that your software on your ipod is not up to date enough to run on itunes 9 (that was the problem with mine) and may also not be up to date enough to run on itunes 8. Try itunes 7 (or if that doesn't work even itunes 6) then once your ipod is recognised go to the summary page on your ipod and update your software to the current version. Once i did this my ipod was recognised on itunes 9 when i plugged it in and worked perfectly. Hope this helps!
