My blackberry 9920 keeps restarting

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
We understand your situation is urgent to you...but please understand that this is a volunteer-contributed user-to-user community. No one is paid to participate here, but rather does so out of the kindness of their heart. As such, it is customary to wait 24 hours before "bumping" your thread to try and re-gain attention.
Nevertheless...from what you describe, this is a problem with WhatsApp itself...and you would need to contact the developer for support of their app.
But, have you tried the basics yet? As in, removing, rebooting, and reinstalling the app?
Good luck and let us know!

Fold a small piece of paper and wedge it along the top edge of the battery (the top, opposite the end with the contacts). See the image below where the red arrows are.
Try that a few days and see if the restarting persists.

  • BlackBerry Z10 keeps restarting

    Hi there,
When I try to boot my Z10, first the red LED turns on, then turns off and then the BlackBerry logo appears on the screen. After a few secs, it restarts and it shows the red LED again. That's endless and I haven't found any hay to boot the device. I've tried to reinstall de software via web, but it doesn't work.
    Any solution?

pauarge, since rebooting and reloading the OS hasn't worked for you, you may need to use an Autoloader file to revive the device. If you don't have a backup, you will lose all data and preferences.

  • Passport keeps restarting itself

    Hello all,
I purchased my Passport this Janunary on Amazon.co.uk (not by Amazon but a seller on Amazon)and started using it in Febuary.
Sooner I found that my phone keeps restarting itself all the time when I am using it or even I do nothing to it, disturbing me and leaving a really poor usage experience.
The restarting thing happens more frequently when the battery is full charged. And the phone turns hot when restarting takes place.
I have contacted to the seller on Amazon.co.uk, they say I should find a authoried Blackberry repairing centre to get it fixed.
And do anyone know where I could find a repairing center in UK?
Or could anyone help me to fix this problem?
    Many thanks.

Go to your Settings > App Manager > Device Manager.
    Tap the bottom CPU tab.
Pull the top dropdown menu to the "last 48 hours".
In the graph, do you see high (tall) spikes around the times of the reboots?

  • Phone keeps restarting

At the start of the month I got a new blackberry 9300 from T-Mobile UK. It kept restarting. I sent it back.
I got sent a new phone from T-Mobile. It keeps restarting. What is going on?
It's not continual restarting. It will work for a few hours. Then restart. Sometimes in the middle of a phone call, sometimes when I want to check my notes. Sometimes, less often, it just switches off. The red LED also does a good bit of flashing whilst all this is going on.
Memory is basically empty. It has the 2GB flashcard that came with it. I originally had the following apps installed: Mnemonsyne, Google Mail, Google Maps, Intertype Cryllic Keyboard and Beiks Russian Dictionary. Currently there is nothing installed because I have wiped it, and reinstalled the OS---and still it reboots. The OS is the latest version.
So, I'm lost. Two different phones, but the same problem. Anyone got a hint?

have you sorted this problem out as i too have this same problem with the 9300

  • BB 8100 keep restarting itself

I have a problem with my 8100;it restarting itself after reinstall OS
I was forced to reinstall OS because of this problem, but nothing solved
First i tried to reinstall the 4.5.0.55but after the reinstall,a box wich say" verifying security software" appear and i think that everything is just fine, but when the initial setup appear(a box containing 3 choices:run setup wizard, remind me later, dont ask me again) i wasn't able to scroll up or down.If i try to click the trackball or enter key nothing happen.Afer aprox 1 min the phone restart itself.
After that,i've read somewhere that is need to downgrade your OS and i've downgraded to the 4.2.1
Now i'm able to scroll up or down in intial setup box,but the enter or trackball event isn't assigned and the phone keep restarting.
    The install procedure was this:
install desired device software on PC
    delete vendor.xml
running loader.exe and conecting the device without battery so that the pin number appear in the box(pin:xxxxxxxxxxx or somethime pin:unknown)
after that plugging in the battery and load the instalation and wait until finish
in one case i tried with commnad line (loader /nojvm) option  but the same story
in the past when i've upgraded my device os,i had similary problems(than i failed the upgrade and i was forced to reinstall the os like now ,but despite now ,with succes)
This problem appear from nothing,my phone was working, sitting on my desk and when i want to see what time is,i realized that the phone was turnned off and i wah thinking that the battery is discharged, but when i realized that the phone is restarting...........
The ideea is that my phone was working and after 1 min was crashed without my interaction
    Sorry my english
    Hope that somebody have the"cure"

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
The method upgrading the device you described is the best to use. It should work.
You might have some third party applications or a theme on the device which is not compatible with OS 4.5, which could be causing the restarts.
I would recommend a complete wipe of the device.
You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F

What happens when you install the original RAM?
    A 2009 15" model identifier 5.3 MBP will accept RAM with the following specifications:  204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
You have installed RAM with these specifications;  DDR3, 1333 MHz.  Should you install with the correct specifications, the MBP will probably operate correctly.
The best sources of Man compatible RAM are OWC and Crucial.

My new Macbook Pro Retina keeps restarting "due to a problem", when I open my skype it crashes and my imovie crashes all the time as well. I just got this computer last week. If someone could please help me out.
    Call Apple Care.
#1 - You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your computer with no questions asked.
#2 - You have 90 days of FREE phone tech support.
#3 - If you've purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan, your warranty last for 3 years.   You can obtain AppleCare anytime up to the first year of the purchase of your computer.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • My 15-inch, Mid 2010 Macbook Pro keeps restarting

Sorry if this has been asked here before but I've been having lots of trouble with my Macbook Pro lately and I'm not sure what to do. It keeps restarting all the time and I've noticed that it mostly occurs while I'm using the Type Tool in Photoshop. Which is very upsetting because I use that program a lot and I'm not sure what to do about this. The problem started earlier this year and has since gotten significantly worse, especially after upgrading to "Mavericks" OS X 10.9.4".
Processor  2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
And here's the report that I received on the latest restart:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much for the reply!!! This really means a lot!  I'm not familiar with that software and admittedly, I'm not all that tech savvy.
If I download this, does this mean I can use Photoshop again (Albeit temporarily)? And will disabling the GPU have any negative effects on my computer?
And I've also seen that a few other people have had similar problems with their "Mid-2010 Macbook Pro's" - is this because of a faulty hardware problem? And is the solution to have it replaced?
Sorry for all the questions by the way. Like I said, I'm not all that tech savvy but I really want to fix this and start using my computer like I used to before. Also, I live in the Territories in Canada and have no access to any Apple Stores so I can't really book a Genuis Bar appointment until my next holiday, which, sadly, won't be for quite awhile.
Again- thank you so much for the reply!!! : )

  • Macbook Pro Keeps Restarting Itself and then totally crashed

    Dear all.
    I am using Macbook Pro 13-inch (i7 2.9 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3, 750 GB) with OS X Maverick (10.9.4).
For the last few months, my Macbook Pro kept restarting itself and I usually ignored this issue until yesterday, my MBP fail to boot up, only display the grey apple logo and rolling icon below for almost 30 mins.
I tried the safe mode and reset NVRAM method and it still fail to boot up and sometimes a black text appears (aka kernel panic).
Then i took my macbook pro to the nearest Apple service provider and the technician said that it was probably due to the 750 GB Hard Disk since the HD itself is a faulty product, therefore we can't find any 750 GB HD nowadays. So he recommended me to replace my current HD with a new HD. I took his advice and I replaced it with 1 TB Toshiba HD. And then the technician reformat my MBP and installed the OS X Maverick. My Macbook pro able to boot up now.
However the next day I still find my MBP keeps restarting itself (until now) and take note that I didn't install any new softwares, I only updated the available  updates in Apps Store for the OS, iBooks, and iTunes.
Can anyone recommend me what to do? Is this a Hardware problem or software problem?
I'm thinking to switch back to OS Lion to see whether this is mainly due to OS Maverick.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately yes.   Since the computer is unable to boot up, that part of the software starts BEFORE the OS would.  Last time I had this problem, it turned out to be a faulty GPU (soldered to the logic board) and i needed to replace the logic board.    If you wanted to, you could indeed back up your personal data (you should ANYWAY, no matter what you do)  and you could try to do a fresh install,  but I'm fairly confident you are experiencing either faulty ram, or a faulty logic board.

  • I updated my iPod to the newest software and now my it keeps restarting. I can't view anything. The logo is the only thing I can see. I can't even turn it off.

I hooked my iPod touch (4th generation) up today and it said that there was new software to be downloaded so I downloaded it. Everything seemed fine but when it was complete it restarted and restarted and is continuing to keep restarting. Has been for a good hour. I can't turn it off, restore or anything. What can I do?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I am having an iphone 4 and it is not working. i am trying to restore it on itunes directly but it stays at waiting for iphone status with no errors and the iphone goes into a mode where it keeps restarting continuously with apple logo on the screen

the iphone goes from recovery mode to some other mode where it keeps restarting with apple logo flashing on the screen continuously. and there is no error in itunes at all which stays in "waiting for iphone" status

  • My 27' 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM iMac keeps restarting.

My I wonder if anyone on here could help me.
My 27' 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM iMac keeps restarting all the time. It's been happening for months now but has got worse and worse. It started when I was using programmes like adobe Pr & Ae but now it happens when I have only have safari or other small apps open.
What happens is the screen freezes, I can hear a clicking should and then the machine just restarts all of a sudden.
I get the message: 'Your computer was restarted because of a problem. Click report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple' which I have done ever time for about 50+ times now in total. The 'problem details and system configuration' states the below:

I use my iMac daily for work and it happens from 4-10 times a day depending on what applications i'm using. More if I'm trying to render a video. It is really furstrating and keeps me from doing any work at all, I can't keep working like this but I have no choise. I really can't be without my computer for very long as I use it to do everything and I do not have another. Also I have all my files on the hard drive. I have bought a Seagate external HD to back up my files onto so I can make a genus bar appointment but everytime I run time machine or try to copy any of my files over to the external HD the machine restarts and disrupts the file transfer. So I can't even back up my files which are really important to me. I even had to retype this whole message becuase my imac restarted while I was fulling in this question.
What is worse is that I bought the extra warrenty (Apple Care) which is due to expire sometime in March 2014 I'm unsure of the date. Might have expired already I don't know. So I need to get this fixed ASAP.
    Extra information on the machine:
    iMac
    27-inch, Mid 2011
Processor  3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics  AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
    Software  OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
Can anyone see from the information I have given about what could be wrong with my machine?
Any help or assistance would be much appriciated.
    Thanks,
    James

Hi.  I am currently having the same issue on my 2011 27"  3.1 GHz i5  with 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
For the last couple of months I have been experiencing random restarts, power offs and so on.  I have already had this escalated and had my machine taken into Apple to run a Hardware test.  They redid the newest OSX version in store and ran the AHT for an hour and got no results.  The Genius Bar were asked by Apple Canada to run an all night test.  According to Apple they ran the test for 4 hours and got nothing.  I was then told to take the machine home and run it with just the memory that was original in the machine.  I stressed tested the video card with a benchmark tool called Heaven for 2 hours.  90C was the temp and no failure.  I did a Terminal "Yes" loop for a couple of hours and no failure on the CPU.  I ran the Apple Hardware Test for 11 minutes and this is the result.
I also have a video of what happened after I restarted the test after about a 5 minute cooldown period.  20 minutes into the test the Imac stalled and made 3 long beeps over and over again like an alarm with a long pause between.  I took the memory out of the DIMM 0 & 1 slots and replaced them in the 2&3 slots rand the test and got nothing after 2 hours.  I put the memory back in the original spot and ran it again and got no results.  Apple contacted the "Genius" techs and they informed them that I had fixed the problem and everything should be good now.  I was also told to go ahead and transfer back over my Time Machine Backup.  Since this all happened I have had the Imac restart 2 times in the last almost 2 weeks and today got this error message

I would also like to add that The Second High Level tech I spoke to told me to use a program to take an image of what my computer was doing when the fresh install of Mavericks was installed and then again after the Time Machine restore.  I sent both and have had no response back. The "Engineers of Apple" would be taking a look at those files. This is what I was told anyway's.
So I would like any advise because Apple hasn't been too helpful.  I haven't heard anything back at all. Its been a little while.  This seems that it could be an issue. I sat in the store speaking to a gentleman with a brand new iMac 27 inch that was having the same exact issues.  I was told his was newer so they were not the same.  The owner of the new iMac just rolled his eyes and laughed. James McConville seems to be having the same issue and I have read quite a few others before I saw this post from yesterday.
