My BlackBerry has been FROZEN all night/day after "Backup software" Taking battery out NOT resetting.  Help!

BlackBerry curve has been non-responsive since a "required" Backup software upgrade night last at 3:30am.  It got to 7% done and FROZE.  Talking the battery out, and resetting, which has always worked, is NOT working.  Can't get/make calls/texts/emails, anything.
Any advice help???  It's completely shut down, which has never happened to this degree.  Help!!!!

    Hi hallenbeckphoto,
Let's see what's causing the problem, your efforts are greatly appreciated! Which BB model do you have? What is currently displayed on the device? Do you receive an error message when you attempt to make a call?
