My blackberry messenger wont work

IM trying to add contacts to my bbm it says it pending but the people I've added haven't had the invite and when they add me I don't get the invite from them can someone help me please I have the right version of bbm. I've also got the right pin cause when I plug it into blackberry desktop manager it displayed it please can someone help me as it was a gift and I don't want have to get rid of it.

To use the proprietary RIM/BB services, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you should then have access to the enhanced services.

On the other hand, if you think that you already have the proper data plan, then I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your carrier for formal support.

    Hi i really hope some can help me! Me and my partner both have blackberrys, i am on contract and he is on pay as you go. My partner pays £5.00 per month for his blackberry bolt on. He currently doesnt live in the U.K so keeping intouch via blackberry messenger is fantastic! However i heard some disappointing news that Blackberry now stop your roaming if you are outside the U.K after 4 months. Apparently it wont work again untill he comes back to the u.k??? Somebody help!!

    Check your Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > Network Technology, is yours set to 2g only?

  • Blackberry Messenger only works at certain times of day.

    a few days ago my phone crashed, leaving my blackberry messanger not working, a few hours later it started up and everything was fine, however the next day my bbm only worked early in the morning and then started up again around 4, and its did it again this morning, i have restarted it many times, i have deleted it then reinstalled it, its just very annoying it doesnt work, and im not really sure what to do with  it
    any help would be much appreciated

    Ella, that's got to be some intermittent connect with your mobile provider.
    The next time your BBMessenger is NOT working, check On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status. What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service at that time?
    ALSO:  You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

  • Blackberry apps wont work !!

     okay so basically i have the bible app and facebook app.Bought were working GREAT ! until..... out of no were they stoped working it keeps saying "you dont have enough sufficient wireless coverage or your wifi is turned off "
    which its not my wifi is turned on and the same goes for facebook my broswer is still working Good?? can anyone help?

  • Kik messenger wont work on ipod touch?

    ok so i just installed kik messenger for the ipod touch, new member no login from before nothing... so i go to create a new account, im typing all the info thats needed and in the middle of that is says network unavaliable, cant find connection try ina bit this that... my wifi is perfect, its all connected to my computer which if wifi is off...it would be in sync... so dont understand those two.... also i delete the app and re install and nothing.... i renew lease of wifi...ive done everything i can think of so i need new solutions that will resolve this problem

  • Blackberry messenger app wont open

    Well a couple of days ago, my blackberry froze so i decided to pull the battery out for a couple of seconds and put it back in again to resolve this. However, when i tried opening up the blackberry messenger app, it wouldn't open. The bbm app icon is still there, but it just doesn't let me open the app. Yes, i've rebooted it like a million times and yet i'm still having the same problem. I only paid £5 and activated my bbm last week, so i'm pretty sure it hasn't run out yet. Bbm has been working fine until now, and my phone is working fine too, but i have no idea how to get the app to work. 

    Please confirm that your  phone is powered ON when you remove your battery; it won't work if your phone is OFF.
    If that's not the case, reloading the OS to the phone using BlackBerry Desktop Software might do the trick.  For most apps, I would  suggest deleting the reinstalling the app itself but with BBM being a core app, you might not be able to do that so proceed with an OS reload.

    Since updating AppWorld has nothing to do with the Facebook app there is no way to know why your Facebook app won't work. Did you update anything else after updating Appworld? Do you have a BB data plan on your account? This isn't always necessary any more but either wifi or some type of data plan is required for the apps to work..

  • BlackBerry Messenger version 7.0.1.23 Fault

    I have a BlackBerry 9360 (3G, Wi-Fi), 7.1 bundle 1717 (v7.1.0.569, Platform 9.6.0.86), BlackBerry Messenger version 7.0.1.23
    The team originally had the version of BlackBerry OS 6 operating system, for months to upgrade to the latest available for the team that is the Blackberry OS 7.1.
    Apparently the problem started when upgrading BlackBerry Messenger to the latest version (7.0.1.23), I installed it through the BlackBerry App World for my team.
    The team has about 6 months of use working perfectly, until recently that within BlackBerry Messenger application does not update the profile picture. I tried everything to fix it, between this I:
    1. Off and removed the battery long enough, the problem is solved partly because after the smart phone turns on the changing profile picture (but only sometimes), and when it does, it only once since before a second consecutive update the problem recurs, have to repeat the procedure.
    2. I deleted and reinstalled the application without any success.
    3. Reset the entire smart phone and reinstalled all applications again, without success.
    4. I've used all sorts of different connections (including 3G, 2G, Wifi) and in all alike the same problem.
    5. registered the BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network, and also sent the service books through the application of e-mail settings on your smartphone. (Without success)
    I would like to help me find a solution without resorting to absurd solutions like:
    1. delete all contacts and add them one by one again, since I have 300 contacts! and that's not humanly possible, also a risk that after adding back the problem recurring.
    2. get the battery every time you want to change my profile picture, (I do not buy a phone to get the battery every time you change a simple photo)
    3. nor reset the phone, update or delete the application because as I said I already did and did not solve the problem.
    otherwise I can not back up my contacts and I have the latest version of MSN BB and this does not bring this option, since all contact data is automatically saved in the cloud of my ID.
    *** At first I thought it was just a glitch in the profile picture, but then I realized that after pulling off the battery did not keep him to publishing the names of my contacts, and the contacts reappeared I had removed, ie there is a problem with the transmission of data from my device to my cloud data of my ID, ie these are not synchronized properly and changes made by me (as the profile picture and editing contacts) not saved, strangely I have no problem with sending messages from my contacts in BlackBerry Messenger, I can normally chat with them, nor do I have a problem with any other application or with the transmission and receipt of data from the device. ***

    If you're having problem with recent update , you can try reinstalling it again cleanly , but first  On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there.

    After deleting perform a battery pull restart by removing the Battery while is device is POWERED ON , wait a min. then re-insert it back . let your device takes a long reboot , finally from your BlackBerry Browser browse to  www.blackberry.com/bbm and download  the most recent version available for your device .After reinstalling see if that helps 
    Please Note : 
    If you're having BBM7 then your BBM Contacts are integrated with your BlackBerry ID , after installing when you login with your BlackBerry ID your Contacts will be restored back , but if you're having any previous persion then first do a local backup , you can backup in your Media card, refer to this KB for further  help:

    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.

    My BlackBerry Messenger is very very slow. I am not receiving the messages in a timely fashion.

    Do you mean your iPhone got wet in the rain?  If so, turn it off, put it in a plastic bag with some uncooked rice and let it dry out for several days (minimum).  You might want to change the rice out every day too, especially if you notice it swelling (from moisture coming out of the phone).
    Continue to use it and you risk further harm from continued water damage.  If it does not work after drying out, then you can take it to Apple and pay for an out of warranty exchange (water damage voids the warranty, so you would have to pay the replacement fee).

  • 'O' Key Wont Work Sometimes

    Since it seems to be a hardware problem, so would request you to visit nearest Blackberry Authorised Service Station who can look into the matter and can suggest.
    Because your problem doesnt seems to be a software issue which can be resolved online.
