My Blackberry Torch has Java error - cannot start it

Every time I try to start up my blackberry, I get the following error message: "Uncaught exception; java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBounds Exception ".  As soon as I hit okay, the error message comes up again.  Eventually, the phone just reboots and starts the whole cycle again.  I have tried the soft reset, but cannot do the hard reset as I cannot do away with the error message to open the system menu.  I have also removed the battery several times.  Help!

    Hi dan0316,
I apologize for the delayed response and I am confident your issue has been resolved since the original date of your post! If not, I can happily assist you. Do you receive the error message while using a certain function of the device? Has your phone been exposed to any physical or water damage? Which I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Mail server log says: master[50]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services...

Recently, after a year or more of relatively smooth service, my OS X Server 10.4.11 Mail services has been locking up daily.
I was finally able to get some information from the log files (I am a noob to this) and saw the following right after my most recent reboot of the server:
Oct 5 09:51:11 mm1 master[50]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/Data/mail/var/imap
I checked the server and that directory is indeed there on the partition named "DATA", so I am baffled as why the server does not thing the configuration directory exists?

Can anyone help me? My customers are yelling for blood because they cannot send/receive emails.

Thanks Alex for the feedback. You are helpful as always!
It's good to know that the message I am getting from the mail server about the configuration files is only a temporary thing. Although I find it strange that the mail service doesn't know where its config files are since it is specified in the mail server setup.
I looked at the log files you mentioned and do not see anything that looks like a specific problem with the mail services themselves.
Recently, however, I have been having recurring problems where my mail server and my Web/Database server have both become unresponsive at nearly the same time even though they are on different class A networks to where I cannot access them via ARD, Server Admin and even SSH. That is usually when my mail server goes offline. I was afraid it was because of that configuration error I was seeing, but think now that the problem could be something else entirely (maybe some kind of network problem or denial of service hacking attack, no idea).
    Thanks again.

  • ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist

I'm running an Xserve G5 with one internal boot drive and one RAID using the other two internal drives. I used Apple's Disk Utility to set-up the RAID.
Back in early December, I moved my mail database and mail store to the RAID. Ever since, when I restart the server, the mailaccess.log generates the following error:
Jan 23 18:51:33 mail master[47]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/RAID/mail.data/db
I'm speculating this is a timing error that gets created when Postfix initially can't find the RAID. Then, it must try again and find it because the error message does not repeat and mail starts running.
Is this something to worry about?

    Hi Joel,
You're right, it's a timing issues. The mail system is ready for work before the file system is mounted. It's benign.

I can ensure that all of these connection pool has configured to run on 9093 port already. Then I view the DOMAIN_NAME/pointbase.log, it said:

I cannot understand what's run on pointbase address ?
All of these error make me angry, because I've configured with the same way on other system and It's work. I've spent all of week to fix these bug, but I'm having nothing :((
    Please help me.

    Thank Jay SenSharma.
I've looked for these JAVA_OPTION values you said, but I cant found them. That value is content of JAVA_DEBUG option, not JAVA_OPTION. In my situation, JAVA_DEBUG=" " (it's not set by default).
    Please re-view my error log:

Actually, you have NO CLUE what he's trying to doActually he said what he is trying to do in his posting. It's no mystery. But that's all the information that's available. If you know something that isn't posted here why not say so?
Your reply was a snide, rude, "You're stupid for doing it that way" answerMy reply was neither snide nor rude and implied none of what you impute to it. It was a proper and constructive suggestion. You are entitled to disagree with it, but that doesn't justify this immoderate outburst.
Bottom line is, you chose to be nastyBottom line is you're just making this up. You are imputing motives to me without evidence. Don't do that.
You are the type of person that makes searching forums and posting questions for assistance a near waste of time.I doubt that you'll find many regulars here that would agree with that assertion. When you have made over 16,000 posts here over ten years as I have, come back and we'll discuss it some more.
Go back to grade school and ...I suggest you try it yourself. You're not adding anything except noise to the discussion. Try curbing your temper, and while you're at it have a good look at the Code of Conduct for these forums. You're verging on personal abuse here.
And, additionally, I've used ANT in the past. Batch files are FAR AND AWAY easier to set up.In your opinion. I disagree entirely, and I have eleven years' experience with Java to back it up.
As for CLASSPATH, I haven't done anything about setting it beyond installing the JDK since about 1999, and it has a dot in it as we speak.

  • Java Error when starting BI Publisher

I have installed BI publisher Trial 64 bit.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  The install seemed to go smoothly. When I try to start the BI publisher from the start menu, a java error comes up "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working"
    Any ideas?
Looks like it is using the java that came with BI publisher:    Faulting application path: C:\PROGRA~1\Oracle\BIPUBL~1\bip\jre6\bin\java.exe
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling BI publisher with no luck.
    11g Trial  v11.1.1.7.1

Looking at the logs and the exception it appears that it is java related. Can you try upgrading your current version of Java.

  • Java Errors when starting HTTP server

    OS - W2K
    Oracle 8.1.7
    Pentium 4
I can install and run the HTTP server on a Pentium 3 and everything works fine. I move to a Pentium 4 and things are not working. I am aware of the bug in the just in time compiler (simcjit.dll) and have removed them. All other Oracle java applications seem to be working fine. When I attempt to start the Apache http server I get 7 pop up windows with the following message:
java.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.
It would be nice if it gave the location of the error log. It is not in the Windows Application log as I would expect. The Apache server does start but does not work. I guess Oracle does not support 8.1.7 on Pentium 4's. Has anyone out there run into this problem and come up with a work around?
    Thanks,
    John

We are having the same problem and as yet haven't found a work around. Any assistance would be very useful as we are tied to using 8.1.7 and a Pentium 4.

  • Syncthing error - Cannot start GUI: listen tcp 127.0.0.1:8080 [SOLVED]

Since I've used syncthing I loved it. So it had to make my friends to use it and in one of them we have following error every time we want to start it.
Cannot start GUI: listen tcp 127.0.0.1:8080: bind: address already in use
Does anyone have experienced this before?
Last edited by Marvix (2014-07-19 19:43:49)

Only under HTTPS as I had already set it before.
I think I found the solution. I had the program to run, since the installation it recommends to autostart with
    systemctl start syncthing@user
    and i stopped it using
    systemctl stop syncthing@user
and tried again with success without error.
Thank you very much for your time.

Does any one have solution for this? I'm using BO XI 3.1

    Hi Peter,
try this solution oryginally posted by Craig Brandt in another topic.
Firstly make sure you have no old Java installs or 'add ons' lingering about on your system, check in programs and features (assuming your using windows 7) and uninstall Java completely. Check the add ons in IE and show: 'All add ons' - remove manually if required. Do a clean up of the computers temp files and cache. I used a program called ccleaner. Also check c:\users\<username>\app data\locallow\ and delete the 'Sun' folder. Then reboot machine.
    - Install latest Java 1.7.0_51
    - Go to Java control panel in windows control panel
    - add the exception for your BOBJ server e.g. http://<SERVER>:8080
    - click continue
    - go to the advanced tab
    - scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
    - apply or OK to exit java control panel
    - open 'Internet Options'
    - go to the 'advanced' tab
    - scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
    - OK everything and close any IE windows
Now try again, you will need to enable the 'add on' when prompted on opening IE for the first time.
Also when accessing the BI Web I for the first time, I placed a tick in the 'do not show this again for apps from this publisher'
    Work for me!

    Does anyone know what's wrong?
    Thanks!

    Hi Remco!
I have found what caused this problem. The browser proxy settings had to be adjusted to be skipped when using the URL for the application server.
    That's all!
