My blue bar won't move up the library

this is hard to explain.
I am trying to scroll through my library to get to the top of the album i just added. it goes a bit then jumps back where it was and you see the same pics again.
i tried going to the end and clicking to the right i got to the very top (at the oldest pics) but the pictures repeated there, too!

What mode are you in? That is are you in the Photos mode or the Events mode and in an event from there? What size are the thumbnails you're looking at? Also give us some info on your Mac and setup: model, RAM, system version, iPhoto version, etc. That will help us better understand the issue.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

It's been so long since I activated an iPad original model, and I am assuming that it needs to be activated. If that's not the problem, then you need to restore the iOS software.
Eject the iPad, turn the iPad off, quit iTunes, restart you computer - then restart the iPad and connect it to your computer and see if iTunes launches on it's own. If it doesn't, then launch it yourself. If iTunes does not guide you through the activation process, I assume that you have to restore the software.
Click on the iPad name on the left sidebar of iTunes. If you don't see the sidebar, go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top. Then you should see the iPad under the devices heading. After you click on the iPad name, click on the Summary Tab at the top of the iTunes window on the right. Then Click on Restore.
I'm hoping that starting the process over again activates the iPad rather than having to restore the device, but see what happens.

Macbook 2008. Did an erase and install from install disk that came with the mac but now it won't move pas the Apple logo with spinner.

My Macbook was running slow and kept giving me error codes so I figured the easiest thing to do would be to erase it and do a fresh install. But now, after installing with the disk 1, it won't move past the grey Apple logo screen.
I've done disk repair and verified and there seems to be no problems.
Any suggestions?

Apple tv movies in the library not giving me a rental option?

some apple tv movies in the library are giving me a rental option whereas others are not. any ideas why? I've searched for diary of a wimpy kid rodrick rules....I find it and select it....and the only three buttons available are preview, wishlist and more. I selected a random 6 other movies and 3 have a rent option and 3 don't. is whether you can rent a movie something to do with your location? i'm in ireland. thanks.

It probably has more to do with the politics played by the movie studios.
Don't forget you can also switch your settings between high-definition and standard definition, you may find that the movie is available to rent in an alternative format.

IPhone stuck - won't move beyond the Apple logo

I just downloaded the latest iPhone update and while it was syncing with my phone, it froze, then I got a message from iTunes saying it couldn't connect to my iPhone. I disconnected and reconnected, and it has said it's synced, but my iPhone won't start now. It turns on, but never moves beyond the Apple logo. Underneath the apple, there's a white bar, as if something is trying to update or download, but nothing ever happens. It just stays stuck there. To restart it, I have to press both the power and home button. I've tried restarting about 5 times, and it does the same each time. I've tried syncing with iTunes again, and still nothing happens.
Has this happened to anybody else before? If so, how did you resolve it?

FIXED! OK guys, this is what I did.
I just took it to the Apple store and they fixed it for me.
I know you were all waiting for a solution that you could do yourself but there wasn't one that I could figure out.
My problem once again:
iTouch 1st Gen with first OS.
Upgraded OS to 3.1.2
Then got hung up on white apple logo with white bar beneath it.
When I took it to the Apple store, they said that the downloaded OS might have been corrupt or not downloaded properly/completely.
So they re-installed the OS for me. Then I was able to go home and sync it with my iTunes without losing anything!
They got some computers and software at the Apple store that I don't think you can get anywhere. Diagnostics stuff. That's why it's better to just let them fix it. They didn't charge me anything for it either.

Opening a new tab in Firefox 16.0.1 the focus is on the address bar but then moves to the search field

When I open a new tab in Firefox 16.0.1 the focus is on the address bar for a second or so then the focus moves to the search input field. If I start typing something the first character fills in the address bar then the rest is typed into the search field.
How do I get the focus to remain in the address bar as per previous versions please?

Blue bar won't fully load..........

Everytime I open Safari, the blue bar fills up until just short of the end and then stops. The Apple home page is clearly visable but I cannot go any further, if I click on any links or type in another web address the blue bar goes back to the start and goes no further.
I know there is no problem with my internet connection because Internet Explorer (Boo!) and Firefox both work fine, as do downloads from the itunes store so it must be a problem with Safari.
Is there a way I can reinstall Safari or does anyone know a fix for this problem?
I have other problems wih my ibook at the moment which this could be related to but thought it was worth an ask. (Cant repair disk using disk utility but have repaired permissions)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The "other problems" need to be fixed. If you cannot repair disk using disk utility from your software install DVD, you most surely have directory problems.
You have a couple of options. DiskWarrior, while pricey, is the "gold standard" of directory repair. Alternatively, you could do an archive and install:

which will install a fresh copy of OS x (including Safari). You would need to update to the current levels.

Itunes only plays the selection over and over again. It won't move to the next song.

I have an iphone GS3 and it works fine other than in itunes. I can select any song and it palys that song over and oveer again and won't move on to play the next sone. I have rebooted several times but nothing helps. I see nothing in the general settings that would account for this. Can anyone help?

You have repeat on.
Have a look at the manual. it will help you learn how to use the iphone.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Power point project won't move to the next slide

I create a project with several power point slides and then some automation and then slides again. The automation created within captivate moves from slide to slide. But the power point slides don't move to the next slide automatiacally. I have to click on next to make them move. I looked in the manual and can't find a source to tell me what to do with the slides to make them move automatically (like a slide show would be). Any suggestions?

When you import a PPT, you have two options. One option allows the PPT to just play through. The other option inserts a Click Box object on slides that prevents the slide from moving forward until clicked by the user. The choice is made in the dialog.
The default is On mouse click. After your slides arrive, the timeline looks like this:
To allow the slide to move forward, delete the Click Box.

Why CTI won't move to the next gap ?

Hi all experts,
I wanna make sure that all my clips are aligned next to each other without gap. I purposely leave a small gap between clip 8 & 9 and move my CTI to the left & placed on clip 2 (ie sceond from the left)
So I test the function Sequence > Goto Gap > Next in Sequence but the CTI doesn't move !
Why doesn't the CTI move to the right at the gap between clip 8 & clip 9 ?
Any ideas ?

Automatic Moving a movie into the Library question please?

If I rip one of my own DVD's and have it put directly into the iTunes Move Library, will it come up in the iTunes Movie list window automatically or do I have to do something else?

Importing a movie into the library

I am having trouble importing my movie "Disturbia", which is on my computer, into my iTunes library. It is a m4v file type and I tried dragging the movie into my library but it would not go. I also tried right clicking and open with..iTunes and it still would not go. Any ideas how I could add it to my library??
