Are you trying to tether? because that is supported over wifi. you can use icloud to get some data to sync. bump can also transfer certain data like contacts or photos.

Since I updated to firefox 5.0, the windows media player plug in for firefox doesnt work anymore :(

Ok I recently upgraded to firefox 5.0, and then when I went to a website that uses windows media player to watch videos and news reports, it said I needed to download the windows media player plug in for firefox. And yet I had already done that in the past. So it directs me to the plug in for windows media player 11, I download and install and it doesnt work. Website repeats the same message, you need to download plug in. It was working fine with firefox 4.0! I use the OS Windows 7, 64bit. Any help please?

Yes I did, at first it identified it as already there, so it gave the option of repairing it, etc, so I uninstalled the Windows Media Player, then Installed it again, and it still doesn't seem to work! I have the same problem with several other plug ins, in the add ons and plug in section of Mozilla tools, I see that say, "incompatible with firefox 5.0" but as days go by those add-ons, that are built by those other websites seem to be repairing it, but I wanted to know for something as important as windows media player plug in, am I the only one getting this problem? :/

How come script for cursor doesnt work in jsp pg?

View source on the generated JSP page.
Compare it to the html page.
Save the source as a static html file.
Find what is causing the problem - maybe a javascript error on the page that prevents your code running?
If you have IE, Tools:options: advanced tab, and uncheck "disable script debugging" so you can see the error messages - or get a browzer with a decent javascript debugger.

Instructions for adding a word to the spell dictionary in Pages for iPad say to double-tap the word. At that point you're supposed to be given the option to "define" the word, which I take to be adding it to the dictionary.
Double-tapping only gives me alternative spellings of the word. I don't get an option to define.
What am I overlooking?

Not working for me, Demo.
Entering the words in settings would be cumbersome. I have a long document with many unfamiliar names and technical terms.
In Pages with spellcheck on unrecognized words are underlined in red. Tapping once highlights they word in a pinkish box. Tapping twice brings up a list of alternative words in a graphic display rather a text suggestion with option to dismiss. Tapping outside the suggestions graphic cancels it but does not seem to reject the suggestions, I.e., not in the sense that you are then given the option of accepting the word into the dictionary.
Help gives a procedure for doing this, but it does not work.
The document I'm working on is a finished document. No composition or editing required. I just need to get it formatted for publication. Most of the words another recognized by spellcheck, and there are many, need to be enter into the dictionary.

Rented Movie on Ipad doesnt work

I Recently Rented a movie ( Just Go With It ) , it says cannot open , however i can see the chapters bt even if i click them doesnt work , can someone please help me sort this or tell me how can i refund my money

Something is wrong with Apple and iTunes it's not your iPad as my iPad 3 has the same issue downloading a HD movie tonight (wanted to watch a movie in bed).
I raised a support issue with Apple but it's 24h email response. I don't have a pc to hand to sync with, but if you do I would download on PC iTunes and then sync it to iPad. Don't start watching the movie on your computer as it then won't let you sync it.
Normally, the download appears in a list on that download tab in iTunes. That terms and conditions link is always there anyway so ignore it. Only once downloaded does it appear in videos.

JMS Priority For Queue doesnt work.

Hi,
          How does JMS priority for a queue work for WLS 8.1 ?
          I have tried putting the messages in the queue with different priorities, but they are being picked up sequentially.
          Is it that since queue is a FIFO implementaion the messages are picked up sequentially?
          I would appreciate any help in this regard.

Sd card reader for ipad not working

My sd card reader which I just purchased at best buy and is an apple product is not working. Although there are pictures on it from my camera to my laptop to the sd card it says there are no images. We need this to work for a trip we will be making soon. Need to use it to share photos in a shoot between other photographers and was hoping to use ipad mini.

TO be read by the iPad those photos must follow a very strict naming convention. THey need to be in a folder named DCIM and have a file name of exactly 8 characters, DSC_4837.jpg for example. (this is how most cameras work, so anything manually put ont he card has to follow the naming convention)
The card you're playing with, does it have photos on it that you put on there or photos directly from your camera?
Another thing if the formatting is right, sometimes the port gets turned off ,so to speak. Try giving your iPad a reset to turn things back on. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds, until your iPad reboots. Then try again.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Inorder to support windows 2008 you need ACS 4.2.0.124 patch 4.

If you have a windows 2k8 R2 as DC, then you need an ACS 5.2

Ipad doesnt work with WIFI

new Ipad 3 connects to wifi stays connected for about 3 to 15 minutes and then looses connection, constantly happens. other products connect just fine even both iphones on wifi stay connected
why cant apple fix this???? for me to take the device to them so they can replace for the second time invovles another 4 hour round trip and over 200km in the car.

Not sure what the answer is to your problem apart from suggesting a downgrade to iOS 5 - but that's not currently available because that would be too easy!
In the meantime I assume Apple are aware of these wifi issues and may well be bringing out an iOS 6 update, well enough people are posting on these official Apple discussion forums!
