  • B320 Bluetooth Adapter dissapeared!

    Hi there!
I had a B320 for a month, and was wondering how to turn the bluetooth adapter off. I tried changing settings on the control panel and after some attempts, I succesfully disabled it.
Couple of days later, I tried to enable it back and it seems to have vanished!
I´ve been reinstalling controllers, turning to Windows restoring points, etc. but the problem is it seems I somehow turned
the adapter off and I can´t seem to find any trace of it to try and turn it back on.
I even entered the computer´s setup to see if it was disabled but to no avail.
    Any ideas?

  • Iphone 5 - Bluetooth simply wont work

    Hi
I've just traded in my trusty old Iphone 4 for an brand new Iphone 5. The Iphone 4 happily connected Bluetooth to anything I wanted it to, my headphones, my car stereo, my ipad etc etc
This new 5 is showing "now discoverable" but nothing can discover it, and apparently it cant discover anything else, Just goes round and round drawing a big fat blank. All tried accessories are still happily working with each other and the old Iphone 4.
It would appear that, to all intents and purposes, in late 2012, I have just bought a phone that doesnt have Bluetooth. Can somebody please tell me thats not the case?????

  • Bluetooth COMPLETELY dissapeared

After updating to Lion (10.7), I tried going into bootcamp, but found out bluetooth was gone completely.  I mangaed with a wired keyboard alone to look in device manager, control panel, Ncpa.cpl (all internet devices e.g. wifi, ethernet, bluetooth), and the task bar, and bluetooth is nowhere to be found.  I also tried startup repair and system restore, in addition to directory services repair mode.  Does anybody have an idea of what's going on?

@jose and everyone else that wants the controller to work properly over Bluetooth, make sure you have a Bluetooth dongle ( preferably http://www.gameaccy.com/bluetooth-dongle-for-motioninjoy because its the most compatible model, and MiJ is built based on it) in the computer (and that the drivers for the dongle itself are installed) and go into the driver manager (in DS3 tool/motioninjoy) and select all the devices on the list (it only lists external devices so USB and Bluetooth are the only ones that should be on there) and click load driver. Go to BluetoothPair and click pair now and Have paired to: should get assigned a MAC address for the controller you're using.  Now unplug the controller and reconnect it. Windows should install the MiJ drivers for your controller.  When the updates are completed, restart your computer.  While it's booting up, hold F8 at the Black screen wi the blinking underscore and arrow your way up or down to Disable Driver Signature enforcement (allows MiJ to install completely).  After you login, open DS3 tool and go to Bluetooth pair again and click pair now (the drivers were modified so the MAC address was as well). Go to profiles, make sure it says Dualshock 3 Bluetooth and click enable, then click vibration test to confirm enable was clicked and processed.  Unplug your controller.  Now your regular Bluetooth (mouse and whatnot) and your controller (from the dongle) should be working. I kinda forgot the whole process so I did the whole thing again while making this post and everything works as said above (I'm playing Saints Row 3, and can navigate the menus with both my mouse/keyboard and the controller simultaneously. They also both work in game. Hope this helps everyone! Remember, if you don't want to risk having to follow my original solution (overriding your default BT), you shouldn't really worry in the first place. Like I said, if you do mess up just follow my original fix for the a BT and try again (or not if you prefer.  Hope this works!

  • Bluetooth dissapeared

Bluetooth has dissapeared from my mac. It's icon is no longer in the menu bar and no longer in system preferences. It seems like it never existed on this computer. I already tried deleting the file com.apple.bluetooth.plist from preferences and after restarting nothing changed and new file was not created on the preferences folder as it was supposed to.
Also tried resseting the PRAM but it didn't change anything.
Can anyone please heeeeelllp. Any other suggestions as to where I can find my lost bluetooth???

  • Bluetooth no longer works with iOS 7

Hi everyone, my Bluetooth simply will not work on my iPhone 4 of my iPad 2. It turns on and searches however they don't even discover each other. I have tried to pair it with my car which it des see however I keep getting an error when I try to pair them. I don't even get to the password stage. Any one know a fix for this? Thanks

There are some other discussions on loss of lock screen and control center music controls.

I believe it is the same issue, which would indicate that it is an issue with the phone, nothing to do with the car/stereo/speakers/etc.
When I lose Bluetooth control I also lose lock screen (and control center) controls.  Other controls work, but no play, pause, skip forward/back, and of course no song resume on reconnection.  A hard phone reset or power cycle fixes it every time, I never have to mess with the car.  However, the issue re-occurs about every 2-4 days and I have to reset the phone again to get control back.  Does everyone else lose lock screen control at the same time as BT?
It may be a hardware issue.  I have a 4S.  What phone models are exibiting the BT issue?

  • HT201172 Pass key for iPod to pair with Bluetooth in car

How can I find out the pass key to pair my 7th gen iPod to the Bluetooth in my 2011 Infiniti G37?

Thank you.  I have tried that and other connotations, but still no joy.  Interestingly enough (said tongue in cheek!) I have just tried to pair my iPhone 5 with my Dell Laptop over Bluetooth (simply to see if I can).  My laptop recognized the iPhone, but still my phone failed to pair.  Is this a built thing designed to annoy me?

  • Bluetooth adapter with digital input

I'm interested to purchase a bose solo tv speaker together with a bluetooth adapter so that i can play music from my laptop using the bose speakers. Do you have any bluetooth adapters that I can plug into the digital input of the bose speakers instead of the RCA input so that I can enjoy better sound quality?

    kelvinlim82 wrote:
If i were still like to look for a blue tooth adapter with digital input, are there any out there?
Rocketfish makes one with digital but there are issues with it's range, Belkin and Harmon Kardon make them, but they're analog only. All of them are in the same $50.00 price range.
But the connectivity doesn't matter, you will not be able to tell the difference in audio fidelity between analog or digital using bluetooth.
Bluetooth simply doesn't have the bandwidth to carry any type of audio that needs a higher bandwidth digital connection. Digital Stereo maxes out at 1.41 Mbps, Bluetooth A2DP which is the best option for audio right now, maxes out at 768kbps.
There's a nice and consice article here that briefly goes over the technical details:

  • Lenovo G50-45 Wireless has dissapeared completely

I have a Lenovo G50-45 that when i bought it worked perfectly. Here recently it seems the wireless adapter has magically vanished and i say that because ive done everything i know to do and ive searched google everywhere but no one seems to have the same issue i do except one person and he was running linux and was able to resolve his issue. I on the other hand havent been able to.This laptop has a bluetooth/wireless card combo. The card handles both connections. The laptop itself has a AMD 8 processor, 4GB ram 1TB HDD running windows 8.1Oneday the laptop just wouldnt connect to wifi. I work on computers alot, and short of replacing the card itself i havent found the solution on my own.The wireless adapter does not show up in network sharing when you click change adapter settings. Only the LAN and bluetooth connections are there. I checked in device manager and there is no missing or improperly installed hardware. Opened the network connections in Device manager and there is no wireless adapter, no WLAN, no wireless anything avaliable there.I have done the following:I uninstalled and reinstalled the bluetooh driver. updated the bluetooh driver.  physically removed the card, started the laptop (the bluetooth connection dissapeared like i expected, turned off the laptop and reinstalled the card and restarted, the bluetooth connection reappeared but not the wireless.I checked in the BIOS. Wireless is enabled. I updated the BIOS. Restored defaults. Still no wireless card.I thought maybe there was an issue within windows 8.1I partitioned the HDD and set off 100GB and installed Windows 7. I didnt think id be able to install the card but i wanted to see if windows 7 detected the hardware. It actually installed the bluetooth card by itself and properly, with an out of date driver im sure but it recognized it.But it did not find the wireless adapter. No wireless card in Device manager in windows 8.1 or a fresh install of windows 7.I ignored that the card wasnt there, and i went to the lenovo site and downloaded the proper up to date drivers. installed them on windows 7 and 8.1. I get the following error message "No appropriate driver to be installed"Now i have a feeling the card itself is to blame. Maybe i have that one card that just wasnt gonna make it. Ive never had a wireless card burn out on me ever but i suppose it is possible. But before i go buying parts, even though its cheap i dont have much money. And the principle of it all, if the card works why should i buy another one? right? its a disgrace to say i work on these devices and be beaten by one of them.  So has anyone had a similar issue? Something i havent yet tried?I would just throw in a wireless adapter i have here but the port on the motherboard is different than what i see in most laptops, i assume because its both wireless and bluetooth. I only have wireless cards laying around, non of them fit properly so i will need to buy a replacement to test. But if anyone can help me out, id appreciate it.

    Hi Kris_hm,
    Welcome to Lenovo Communtiy Forums!
Normal Troubleshooting path on this cases includes
    Power Cycle of the system
Checking of WLAN in BIOS if Enabled (Includes resetting BIOS to defaults)
WLAN card reseating (Removing WLAN card and reconnecting the WLAN again) Includes cleaning of the ports and connectors.
If these are all met - You might need to replace the WLAN card,
The WLAN Card socket supports M.2 / Ngff Connection type
Make sure you get a replacement card that is on this Maintenance Manual WLAN list and has an FRU tag.
This is to avoid getting whitelist problem

  • IPhone 4 in BMW with Bluetooth audio no track info

I recently installed my new iPhone 4 with 4.26 software on it in my bmw528 and activated Bluetooth audio. I do have the ability to play music, but it says that the track info cannot be displayed. It only shows a forward and back arrow to go to next track or back to previous track. Is this normal? If I use the USB connection I can see everything, including playlists and trac info,
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • "Dissapearing" speakers without a reason

    Hello!
A long ago I bought the very first version o Sound Blaster Li've! and Speakers
Cambridge Soundworks FourPoint Sourround FPS2000 Digital Model No.CSW500
which functioned perfectly until WindowsXP arri'ved (I connected them using digital DIN connector).
After I switched from Windows 98SE I started to have problems with my speakers: they
are 4-point speakers and often after drivers or DirectX upgrade or without any reason aswell they simply dissapeared from the control panel of the soundcard (I mean I only
might choose 2-point speakers and (there was simply no other choice) after that the
rear speaker kept silence. Only complete deinstall, reboot and fresh new install of the
base drivers for XP and all the patches (during which I could choose which speakers I
use) allowed me to use fully my speakers... I had to do above sometimes 2 or 3 times a month. I tried to connect my speakers using analogue connectors - it didn't help at all.
I thought maybe it's time to switch to SB Audigy 2 and I did that and bought new card
leaving my old but perfect working and sounding speakers. I have to say the above
situation is now again: the possibility of choosing 4-point speakers simply dissapear
after 2-3 days of installation - firstly i cannot choose what kind of speakers I'd like to use (but the graphical diagram shows 4-point) and after some time the same diagram
shows only 2-point speakers and I of course cannot choose other ones) (I use games, movies, DivX, and office work). I of course could buy new speakers but I think the ones
I have it's enough for me at the moment and taht's why this question. I'd like to say that I switched to Athlon64 a month ago and earlier I used many other
configurations (like for example AthlonXP 3200+ + MSI KT6Delta Via KT600 chipset)
so I think it was hardware independent. It also has nothing to do with the version of
WindowsXP (service Pack or not, Home or Pro 'cos I tested them).
I wrote to the customer service but after some e-mail exchange I stopped 'cos they could not find the solution... I see now reading some posts that not only I have such problems... I think the solution could be small application extracted from the setup program installing the SB driver where we have the possibility to choose what kind of speaker we want to use... it's easier to use such application instead of deinstalling and installing with all the patches again or maybe somebody has better idea? Untill of course Creative engineers find the proper solution
    Thank you for your patience
    Greetings from Poland

Wait for the next update. It is being widely accepted by most users facing this problem that 10.1.19xx and above has resolved the reboots issue.
Although I never faced this issue on any version, not everyone has been so lucky.

  • It just wont work

Basically i am using my macbook 1.83GHz and several problems have occoured, firstly programs keep quitting this mainly happens with microsoft word which often wont even open, it simply says error and then often after it has started it will very quickly quit, also does this during operation, this has also happened in safari and others. Another problem is tht my trackpadkeeps locking up it like seems to think tht i have 2 fingers on the pad so it scrools instead of moving the pointer. Often the mouse simply dissapears and is nowhere to be seen. After hearing so many good things like on the mac site "it just works" well i can say no it dosent, it has a major habbit of freezin and quitting on me, i no would not reccomend a mac to anyone they are now in my views so unrealiable especially for the money paid.

chill buddy, all computers can wrong! Majority of Mac users would state very confidently that they "just work", this doesn't mean they don't work even better when the user is experienced and the system is regularly maintained though. Same as a PC i guess!?
Would recommend backing up important applications and files at this point, assuming you can and haven't already. If the RAM proves not to be the problem, you may find you need to reinstall the OS software. Don't worry, if you have stuff backed up, this is much less painless than it sounds and much much less painless than if you were still using one of those 'really reliable' PC things!
Assume you have repaired all permissions via disk utility recently? You should do so prior to any OSX upgrades. Also worth checking out ONYX or APPLEJACK free on versiontracker.com, you may just have corrupted preference or cache files associated with these programs rather than a hardware problem. Your track pad issue sounds more like an incorrect setting to me rather than a problem, goto System preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Trackpad... check/adjust settings.

  • Lion 10.7.4 not connecting to shared printer in mac 10.5.8

I have a macbook pro and recently applied the new upgrade to Lion 10.7.4
I also have another macbook pro running 10.5.8 and the printer is attached to this computer.
Up until the upgrade to Lion 10.7.4 I could just simply print using the printer connected to the mac 10.5.8, I could also easily share files between the two machines via the Public Folder in the 10.5.8 machine.
What happens now is that upon re-sharing the printer and files, in the mac running 10.5.8, for about 1 to 2 minutes I can see the 10.5.8 mac in my Lion 10.7.4 machine. During that time I can print or share information as before.
However after the 1 to 2 minutes interval, the mac running 10.5.8 simply dissapears from all menus in the Lion 10.7.4 machine and no printer or file sharing can then take place.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? is there a solution that could work?
Thanking you so much in advance,
    best,
    Alejandro

The Current version of Lion is 10.7.5
The next Step is Mountain Lion which is a Paid Upgrade.
Check that your Mac meets the Requirements for Mountain Lion.
    Upgrade to Mountain Lion

  • Pages 5.1 is unable to save a new file

If I start a new Pages (5.1) document, I cannot save it.  Also, if I duplicate a Pages document that I can open and continue to work on, I cannot save this duplicate document either.  It does not matter what folder I select, new or existing.  I get the error dialog " 'filename.pages' couldn't be moved because you don't have permission to access 'folder name'." To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info.  I checked in the Finder and I have read/write permisson to any/all folders in question.  This happens to all folders, including Documents.  But I can continue to work on any existing Pages file and save the changes.
If I bring up Finder and make a copy of an existing Pages document that I can work with in the same folder and try to open the copy via Pages, I get the error dialog " 'filename' can't be opened" with no further explanation.
Haven't got any file system issues I know of other than this Pages error in normal computer use.  I am on Mavericks 10.9.2.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Apple pushed Page 5.1 (1769) upgrade this morning.  I tried that and, just like magic, the permissions issue simply dissapeared.  Now Pages can create new files and save them as well as do any operation that require saving (exporting to PDF) etc. to local disk.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this problem, but seems like installing an update might just do the trick.
Peter, if you are reading, do you have a suggestion as to how exactly to remove Pages (including misc. system files it has on the system) so that I can force Mac App Store to reinstall Pages if this happens again.
Most people suggest clicking "Purchases" button on the App Store while holding down the 'Option' key.  Since I have a mini I am using a regular PC keyboard and I tried using the Alt key instead but no luck.
    Thanks.
