My bluetooth stopped working.
MB Pro w/ OS X 10.9.4 My bluetooth stopped working, suddenly. The icon show a squiggly line through it and it says "Bluetooth not available". I can't even turn it off.
Error: "The device does not have the necessary services"
I've tried resetting SMC etc however my bluetooth still does not connect with my external speaker or keyboard. They both connect to other iOS devices so definitely working.
Running OS X 10.6.8 on Mac Pro
Do you kindly have any other suggestions before I drag it in to Apple?
Many thanks

Why have the ports on the left of my macbook pro and the wifi and bluetooth stopped working?
Hey All,
About a week ago the two usb ports on the left of my 17" macbook pro, soundcard, wifi, and bluetooth stopped working. The power port, ethernet, remaining usb on the right are still functional. I've tried repairing the permissions and other software based solutions but to no avail. I'm worried that this might be a motherboard issue but am apprehensive about taking the ol' girl into a genius because it will probably cost more to repair than the remaining value of the system. Anyone have any ideas, can confirm my suspicion?
Thanks!Well I'm using Google Chrome browser on Lion and when I type in that URL nothing happens. Except for the "This webpage is not available" banner.
So it looks like your website is down and what you are getting on your devices are cache.
Oh just deleted the www and now I see the page. Yup all the info looks intact. home about us products Q&A and so on. -

Bluetooth stopped working on my ipad mini after ios7 update
Bluetooth stopped working on my ipad mini and my iphone 5 after I updated to ios 7. My Ipad 4 which is not updated can't see them either. Samsung devices can see them but not connect and they can't see each other. Help
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My ipad 3 Bluetooth stops working for several seconds every few minutes
My ipad Bluetooth stops working for a few seconds every few minutes...very annoying. Any solutions?
firefox has become a somewhat of a pig. it is actually funny and i know this problem will soon be cured but.... here was this "anti-IE" thing that came out a while ago saying "we're the fastest browser in the world" and indeed they were. as a 13 year microsoft employee/veteran i was reluctant to try it, but try it i did. that was years ago. now all of a sudden here i am and for the past several months at least, firefox has been pausing every few seconds or so. it is totally annoying and has me researching the cause. i'm a techie/quite computer literate and know how to tweak and configure to get every last ounce of speed out of my system. let me tell you... firefox is no longer the fastest browser on the planet.... they have issues. why? they have a lot of code and maintaining a complex piece of software (they are finding) is not easy. BUT, the problem lies within firefox's code base... i've used the latest version of IE, safari and chrome and neither is suffering from the pausing problem.
how can you repro this problem? go to any webform (gmail, this forum, et al) and start typing... there will be an annoying pause every few seconds. while pausing, firefox pages out to disk, despite there being TONS of physical memory available... AND i have set my system to NO pagefile, yet firefox is paging...
or, go to a long webpage (e.g. ebay and set the search results to 200. then just use your cursor to scroll down the page) and you'll see the same problem.
hurry firefox... fix this annoying problem. i've been a happy and loyal FF user for at least 5 years -
Bluetooth stops working now and then
My bluetooth stops working now and then. Let's say I haven't used bluetooth for a few hours and I want to sync my mobile phone. I try, but it's unable to connect. If I then try to turn off Bluetooth, I'm unable to turn it back on. In Bluetooth preferences, the status will be 'Off' and the 'Turn Bluetooth On' button is greyed out. The only way to get Bluetooth working again, is to restart OS X.
Help!1. Boot from your system CD, run Disk First Aid and repair your permissions.
2. Then try running it with Airport turned off.
3. Reinstall the original RAM and run it that way for awhile.

Bluetooth stopped working after update to PR1.3
After updating my N9 to PR1.3 the bluetooth stopped working. Trying to connect it to my laptop or other phone is unsuccessful, only get "Transfer failed" message. Anyone has this problem, too?
@RSmaster
PR1.3 still transfers OK to my Mac, although always takes longer to go through than from Symbian device!

Hi, I have a 13" MacBook Air and my bluetooth stopped working suddenly, I receive this message: Bluetooth not available
Hey csamuelnguma,
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your MacBook Air's bluetooth is no longer functioning correctly. I recommend that we start by resetting both the SMC and PRAM:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
OS X Mountain Lion: Reset your computer’s PRAM
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11243
Note: Resetting PRAM may change some system settings and preferences. Use System Preferences to restore your settings.
Thanks,

Bluetooth stopped working on iPhone and iPad
I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2, and just yesterday the bluetooth stopped working. I cannot pair the two any longer. It has only come about since upgrading iOS to 5.1.1 anybody out there know the cause and the solution to this problem
I am having a similar problem with my iPhone 4 and bluetooth headset (Plantronics M155). It has always said it was successfully paired with the phone, says its connected everytime I turn it on. However, it never worked at all until I updated the iOS a month ago. However, it just stopped working again. I unpaired and repaired it, successfully so it says. No go.
BTW, my husband has the same headset for his standard flip phone, and it has always worked.
Please, any clues at all? The Verizon store usually says they have never known anyone else with this problem.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Bluetooth Stopped Working on my iMac!
My Hardware:
iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz
3GB RAM
Snow Leopard 10.6.2
The Bluetooth functionality of this computer stopped working. It doesn't recognize my previously paired wireless Mighty Mouse. Nor any other BT devices.
When I tried to change some settings with the BT icon up at the top edge of the screen, it does show that BT is "on". When I tried to manually connect my wireless mouse with the BT option screen it will not connect. I've also noticed something very unusual. If I got to run "System Preferences", I can access all of the various things I have in System Preferences, EXCEPT for Bluetooth. If I click on "Bluetooth" in System Preferences, I get the spinning beach ball and sys pref "hangs".
If I go to the top of my screen and click on the BT icon at the top edge, one of the option is to "Turn Bluetooth Off". (I thought I could click BT off and then back on again to see if it resets.) Yet despite clicking that, the BT status doesn't change. In other words, I can't turn it off, change settings or "do anything with it"! I have tried to use the "minus sign" to delete the previously paired Mighty Mouse and then to re-add it but the command (delete device) does not register.
I've never had problems with BT on this 3 year old iMac. However, what precipitated this problem was me trying to run Techtool Pro on the internal HD to "defrag" and optimize it. After running Techtool Pro, the computer wouldn't boot. Fortunately, I had a clone of my iMac's HD on a FireWire drive and cloned it back to the internal drive. However, since getting everything back up and running, BT has stopped working!!!
I've tried rebooting the machine, rebooting the machine after a 1 min power down, doing a PRAM(?) reset boot, etc. All to no avail.
Anyone with any ideas as to how to "reset" or troubleshoot this BT problem?

Don't go past Installer's first screen, although you can go up to the menu bar and run Disk Utility from under Utilities. That will give you more things to do with the mouse than just moving it around the screen.
Also, while you are in Disk Utility, you should go to the +First Aid+ tab and run +Repair Disk+ on your internal drive.
Then you can quit Disk Utility and Installer, and restart normally. Just to be thorough, once you are started up again normally, run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk Permissions+. It probably won't help with this problem, but you never know... I would restart and try the Bluetooth one more time.
I assume if the BT mouse doesn't show up after the system boots off the OS install disc, this might suggest the iMac's BT hardware is faulty and might need replacement?
Possibly. I'm assuming an Apple Bluetooth mouse works when booted from the installation disc, since many Macs now only come with Bluetooth mice. But I'm not 100% sure.
Also, do you also use a Bluetooth keyboard? If that mouse is your only Bluetooth device, it is possible that the iMac is fine, and the mouse is malfunctioning. The batteries are not getting low? Even if they are strong, did you try taking the batteries out for a few minutes and putting them back in?
And what if I the BT mouse is functional after I boot up with the OS install disc? What might you suggest as the next step
If you have an external drive that can be erased, you can install a test system on that drive. Set the iMac to boot from that fresh system. See of Bluetooth is working properly. Otherwise, you will need to back up your data, then reinstall a fresh system on your internal drive. -
Bluetooth stopped working on Windows 8 (GT780DX)
I recently upgraded my MSI GT780DX to Windows 8 and since then my Bluetooth connection has stopped working. I have updated my Intel Bluetooth drivers to Win 8 and nothing has changed. I can see the Bluetooth settings in my controlpanel, but they are greyed out and disabled since my "hot key" above the keyboard isn't functional anymore.
Can anyone tell me what I am missing? Another driver/BIOS?
Reference: http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT780DX-GT780DXR-.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win8%2064For the hotkey to work in Win8 installing SCM is required which replaces S-bar for Win7: http://www.msi.com/service/download/utility-19916.html
Furthermore Win8 requires the radio switch driver for Bluetooth to work: http://www.msi.com/service/download/nbdriver-19312.html -

Pearl 8130 Bluetooth stop working with GPS
Has anyone experienced a situation where your Bluetooth BlackBerry was paired with your automobile's GPS system and was working fine, then stopped one day and can't get it to pair up anymore? We have an 8130 that was paired to the car's GPS system perfectly then suddenly stopped working one day. After taking it to the car dealer and having them look at it they determined it was a problem with the phone. They were able to pair up another phone to the car without any problems. I took the phone and tried pairing it with another GPS system, that can pair up with another working BB, and was not able to get the phone/GPS to pair up either. Has situations like that happened before? What can be done about it, if anything?
Thanks.Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP -
My bluetooth Mighty Mouse randomly stops working with my new MacBook Pro. It appears to be a bluetooth issue with the laptop because I cannot turn off bluetooth once this happens and the laptop thinks the mouse is still connected, even when the mouse is turned off and batteries have been removed. It takes a system restart to get things working again.
Any suggestions? My OS (10.8.2) is up to date.Hello:
Try resetting the PRAM and SMC.
Make the mouse a favorite.
