My bookmarks & browsing history has disappeared. Backward & forward arrows not working. How can I get this back working?
Message I'm receiving from Firefox is "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because on of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." I have not made any changes on my computer. I did uninstall and reinstall Firefox but bookmarks and history system still not working. I am using the latest version of Firefox on Windows Vista.

This indicates that there is a problem with the file that stores the bookmarks and history. Re-installing Firefox does not by default remove the profile folder where that file is stored. Keep tapping the B key and it should reappear, or click-hold/right-click on whatever tool is currently visible right below the eraser.

Somehow my iTunes app has been put into the trash. How can I get this and all of the stuff that was in it back to my Application folder? I try to drag it out of trash, but it won't work.
Also, when I do try to drag it out of the Trash to put it back into Applications (on the Finder sidebar), it asks me to authenticate with the administration password. I enter it, and then a window appears saying that I can't do that because I do not have permission to modify iTunes. Please help.

Today I updated the OX Maverisk. It turns out that the three finger gesture in the finder( go back and forward) is disabled. How can I get this function back? I love it so much!

I had already tried deleting the review slide itself, though Captivate wouldn't let me - it just hid it. I tried again using the method you recommended but the slide remained in the filmstrip, so I tried deleting again, then re-added it from the Quiz Settings page ... no joy, same behavior as before.
I checked the Advanced Interaction page and confirmed that all of the scored questions were configuredthe same way as the non-scored questions, with the only difference being the pool that they were drawing from.
Other thoughts? I am by no means a Captivate expert but this one really feels like it shouldn't be this hard, and I'm more than a little afraid that it's the file itself that's jacked up ... -

Email messages from my icloud account update on all my devices showing if they have been read and if a reply has been sent. This does not happen with my tinyworld (TalkTalk) email account. Can I (how can I) get this to work with TinyWorld?
You have to look at the email protocol being used. the Apple email system uses IMAP, does Tinyworld use IMAP or POP?
Does the email system permit delivery receipts to be requested?
Just some of the things one needs to determine from the information provided by the email service provider. -

Since you had already purchased iPhoto, you should be able to redownload it. To download previous purchases on a computer, your computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. For more information on the steps to reinstall purchased apps, check here:

Help! iTunes has completely disappeared off my iPhone 4s. Yes the Program, not just the app! All my music has just vanished! How do I get this back!!

I can only imagine it is because I have had to change my apple ID as I no longer use the old email address (old company). I am disappointed that this has been the result though. It is strange as it was there one evening and then the next it was gone. I hadn't actually changed anything that evening but I wonder if it was the result of the home sharing sync or something?It doesn't matter that your Apple ID, which uses the same characters as your old email address, now has a defunct address. You need to go into your Apple ID profile and change the defunct address for a valid one. This will not necessarily change the "address" which stands as your Apple ID.
By "changing" the address directly on the Apple ID itself and not on the profile, you inavertedly created a new Apple ID. -
Hi we've lost the itunes icon from the applications folder. How do we get it back and where has it gone? I dragged it off the dock by accident and dragged it from the applications folder to the desktop then to the dock. But now we've lost it.

My 4s has no sound on most of the outgoing calls i make. It will ring the other phone I am calling but I cannot hear it nor can they hear me when they answer. Its just dead air but my phone timer is in use. How can this be corrected?
It's very possible that you have stuff running in the background that you don't even realize you have running. For example the default is for all notifications to be on and you usually need few to none of them.
That said, while an iPad can run warm, too hot to handle isn't right. ALso you should get about 10 hours....depending on what you're doing of course. If you're doing processor intensive stuff, like gaming and videos it can drain faster and generate more heat.
I would say if you have an apple store near by, make an appointment and have them check it out. If the issue is due to what they determine to be manufacturer's defects then it could fall under the warranty. But that's up to the store to determine.
