My bookmarks just vanished.Now I can't bring them back no matter what I try.

One day I was adjusting my current window open so I could continue with my project.I don't know how but my bookmarks just vanished.I found where they are but I couldn't put them back where they belong.Why and how do I put them back?

Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.<br />
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
* Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

Hi youssef8888, you might also want to search your entire C drive to see whether your bookmark backup files might be in an unexpected location. I would try this pattern:
bookmarks-2013*.*

I closed all the taskbars at the top and now I can't get them back.

I closed all the task bars at the top (so now there is only the blue strip that says 'Firefox - Mozilla Firefox' and the tabs) and now I can't get them back. Tried right clicking everywhere and all the options (right click Firefox in the start menu) but I can't get it back. Your images are truly no longer present on the hard drive(s)? Have you had your operating system do a search for them?
If such a search fails to find them, here's what I would do, in order
Look in the trash can/recycle bin
Restore from backups
If you don't have backups ... well, why not? ... find a program on the internet called an "undelete utility" (free versons are available) and then download and install it and run it. If you are going to do this, then do not perform any other tasks on your computer except find the program, download it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), install it (if possible to a different drive than the photos were stored on), and run it. In the future, you will need to commit to making regular backups of your photos and of your Lightroom catalog file, no excuses.
If that doesn't work, but the thumbnails still appear in Lightroom, you can probably recover the thumbnails from Lightroom via a plug-in, but these would be low-resolution versions of your photos, if you really need instructions on this step, write back

If you made a Time Machine backup before deleting the applications, you can recover them from your backup. Just go to the Applications folder, and open the Time Machine app, so you will be able to recover the applications just navigating through your backups.
However, there are some applications that won't work after doing this, because they require other system files. In this case, you will have to download the apps again from the Internet and install them using the installer

Press ALT or F10 in your keyboard to make the Menu Bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be permanently visible, go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'', or right-click the Navigation Toolbar (the Reload button, for example) and select ''Menu Bar''.
If this doesn't help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible, or right-click the Navigation Toolbar and select ''Menu Bar''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal.

Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you lost your bookmarks. In order to check if they are still there you can look in the profile folder on the computer [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]]
As for syncing from the android, it is possible to add the account to the desktop and the two should merge.

I moved the project files and now I can't get them back into iMovie 11

I was working on a project but I ran out of disk space before I could finish it. Now, for this very purpose, I have an external hard drive with plenty of space on it. So I tried moving the folder with all my project files onto the external hd, and now iMovie can't find my project anymore. With iMovie '06 it was as simple as hitting "save as" and saving the project to the external hd, but I guess that's not complicated enough for the new version. Now I can't get into my project. I even try clicking on the actual project file, and it goes to iMovie as if the project was about to open, but nothing happens. So I fear I wasted a lot of time working on that project only to have to start all over because I ran out of disk space.
Someone please tell me there's a way to get the project files open again. Thanks

that is a simple one and should be a routine after purchasing a new drive (in a Mac-only environment!):
• on your Mac, Apps/Utilities you'll find Disk 'Utility'
• on the left lane, you'll notice your connected hard drive(s)
• select it, click on the 'erase' tab
• NOTE: FORMATTING A DRIVE MEANS ERASING ALL CONTENT ON THAT DRIVE!

Some are above the average user needs, but still can be rather helpful.
Hopefully you can get past the kernel panic screen, there are several
ways to attempt to do that, however if the issue is hardware, a reinstall
of the OS X may not cure the underlying cause of the symptom.

My bookmarks have vanished and I can't add them again

I went to use Safari and my bookmarks have vanished. I'm not sure exactly when but they have gone and I'm left with Apple, google, bing, yahoo and the iPad user guide. I can't seem to add any bookmarks now either. Not sure why this has happened. Any one have any idea how to fix this?

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

My version of Firefox was mafunctioning so I uninstalled it and loaded the latest version. Didn't realize that all of my Bookmarks would get wiped out and I never thought to back them up beforehand. Not so smart. It will take hours to replace all of them. Wondering if there is an easy way to get them back, such as doing a system restore on my PC to gain access to my old Firefox version and then backing them up before uninstalling it once again. I have Windows 7 with 64-bit if that makes any difference. Any advice for a novice appreciated.

Did you remove personal data when you uninstalled Firefox?
If you did there your bookmarks and other personal data in all profiles folders was removed and is lost.
