My Bookmarks toolbar does not show a Bookmarks Manager, so I can't export my bookmarks to a new computer.
I want to export my Bookmarks from Firefox on this computer to Firefox on my new computer. The Bookmarks Manager does not show on the Bookmarks toolbar. Where is it? How can I access it so I can use the export tool?
This computer is Windows Vista - my new one is Windows 7.
"Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4 and later.

When bookmarking it does not show the list of folders that I have in bookmarks to place new bookmark into. I reset firefox and still have the bookmarks from the bookmark tab, Just bookmarking new ones the folders do not appear to place new bookmarks in, only a few folders show
Click the arrow at the far right (outside) of the Folder field (i.e. not the one in the Folder field) in the "Edit This Bookmark" window to access the complete folder list.<br />
This full folder list also opens if you click the drop marker in the Folder field and click the "Choose..." item.<br />
If folders in the list aren't expanded then look for a possibly faint arrow icon to expand/open the folders.

When I select a title or lower thirds and try to enter text by double clicking on it I cannot enter any text at all. Also the text area box does not show up at all where you can enter text also.
It's a bit hit and miss, Walter. Sometimes the box to enter text shows up straight away in the inspector under "text". Other times, although you click "text" in the inspector, there's nowhere to actually write anything.... then what you have to do is move the trackbar over the Title Box until you see the text boxes in the main Viewer. In the Viewer, double click a text box.... you can enter text there, but it's a bit flaky, but when you've clicked in it, you'll find that under "Text" in the inspector, the box for inputting text has magically appeared!
I'm not sure if anyone else has this trouble, but it is a bit of a pain! -
i have downloaded new ringtones for my iphone but my itunes dashboard does not show ringtones on it , so i can't put them on my phone.Am i doing something wrong.The ringtones were bought from i tunes.
Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.

XP partition does not show in startup manager
When I boot into the startup manager (hold down alt-key during boot) the XP partition does not show as boot drive. I can boot into XP only through the startup-drive preference pane. This problem is still present after the update to 10.5.2. Any solution besides reformating the drive? Thanks!

as above, when i updated firefox to 7.0.1 the toolbar for roboform disappeared. updating roboform did not fix it. it does not show up as a tool bar in the view/toolbar tab. i made sure the firefox browser option was enabled in roboform.

I have Elements 12 and editing toolbar does not show trying to fix pet eye
i watched the video on how to remove pet eye and the video shows a tool bar on the left for editing, including checking pet eye box. This does not show on my elements nor does it look like the video. Please help.

When I connect my iPod Touch to my computer it does not show up in Itune on the left side and I do not see on the bar "picture", it allways did before.

Optical drive does not show in device manager

My Pavilion DV6700 does not show the optical drive anymore. I does show as a boot option in BIOS. I have gone through all the Microsoft "fixes" without sucess. The drive spins up and the Busy light comes on when I insert a disk, but it doesn't work.
This laptop came with Vista, but has been upgraded to Win 7 32 bit. The drive did function after the upgrade, but I haven't used it for a long time.
Any suggestions on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

Could be due to the laser beam after a long time sitting idle. I think you need to clean the lenses using something like this (scroll down 1 page)

160gb Classic does not show in Disk management

Ive had my 160gb ipod classic for about a year now and just recently it stopped showing up in itunes and it is not showing up in my computer. im running windows 7 64 bit. Ive looked for it every where in my computer, it does not show up in Disk management and when i plug it in windows says it does not recognize it. I ran the itunes diagnostic and it does not show the ipod being connected. When i select it through the device manager it shows it as Unknown device and in the description it just says the "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" ive never seen this before. Ive also checked the drivers, according to windows theyre fine, at least thats what it tells me when i go to update them. and when i try to acces the driver details it says no driver files are required or have been loaded for this device. Im a bit frustrated because ive been looking every where and trying everything to attempt to fix this. Any insight would be appreciated.You could definitely try uninstalling the USB drivers and reinstalling them. If that doesn't work plug your iPod into another computer and see if it shows up. If it does problem is the PC, if not, problem is the iPod.

Bookmarks Toolbar does not appear in "Show All Bookmarks"
I keep all my bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder. All are intact and functional. They appear to back up properly (i.e., viewing a newly-created json file with MS Notepad, I find nothing to suggest that anything is missing). BUT, I can't actually view/organize these (or any other) bookmarks in the Library. After clicking "Show All Bookmarks," the main Library pane that opens is empty. In the navigation pane at the left, there is an entry "+ All Bookmarks," suggesting there's an expandable tree there. Clicking on the "+" has no effect; no expanded tree in the Nav pane, no bookmarks in the main pane. In short, I have no way to organize my existing bookmarks, even though they are intact and functional.

I tried your SafeMode suggestion. There was no change in the performance of the Bookmark Library; it still opens blank and the "+ All Bookmarks" will not expand.
I skimmed through a few hundred other questions and answers and found a handful of others with what appears to be a similar problem. I'm currently looking at this:

I tried the backup/restore solution. I creating a new backup, verifying that it was current by adding a new bookmark just before backing up, and then checking the json file to be sure it was there. No problem. I did a restore: all bookmarks look like they're still OK, but there was no change in the performance of the Library window.
I'll try CHKDSK next, before I attempt a full rebuild of places.sqlite. -
Bookmark Toolbar entries not showing up in blank space allocated for them under Navigation Toolbar.
Using Firefox 3.6.13 and 4.0b8. Both are not showing up my Bookmark Toolbar entries. The item does exist. I've used Firefox for years and that toolbar has always showed up. Confirmed that it still exists and was not inadvertently trashed by viewing item and listing when opting to Manage Bookmarks. The item is checked off for display in the menu drop-down (View-Toolbars-Bookmark Toolbar), the space where it would normally display my entries shows up directly under the Navigation Toolbar, but it is blank with no entries displayed.
In the View menu select Toolbars, and then Customize to open the customize toolbar dialog. With the customize toolbar dialog displayed, there should be an icon with the label "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" on the bookmarks toolbar. If it is not there, drag and drop the icon called Bookmarks from the customize toolbar dialog onto the bookmarks toolbar. There will be 2 icons called Bookmarks, the one you want will have an icon that looks like a sheet of paper (it does on Windows, I believe it is the same on the Mac).
