Most people have no problems with installing firefox as an upgrade, but there are quite a few things that can cause problems. Please have a look at the articles

Post back after you read them and say what you tried. Have you ensured you used an admin account, possibly needing to check the UAC setting, and that security software is not blocking the changes. You should certainly try starting in firefox's [[safe mode]] either from a menu/icon option or by holding the shift key as you attempt to run firefox.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

Clearing the cookies/cache, restarting firefox in safe mode with add-ons disabled...etc. I have not been able to solve this issue and have inserted my firefox details from my clipboard below. Why are you using such an old version of Firefox? Upgrading to at least 28 might solve the issue in case you've heard of Firefox 29's new UI and don't want to switch. This link will get 29.0.1 but if you want 28, it can be downloaded through the [[Install an older version of Firefox]] link.

Please try updating to at least Firefox 28 before continuing troubleshooting. Symantec extensions are known to be quite problematic. Please try removing it as it is not needed to run Norton.
In regards to your bookmarks, no, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox won't fix the issue and it won't remove your bookmarks unless you specify you want to remove it. There's a check box that says "Remove my personal data" and is unselected by default.

I uploaded my page from Dreamweaver yesterday and it works fine in Firefox and Safari, but when i opened it on Internet explorer, the bottom tables have moved and the image links at the top have a white boarder around.

The white borders around your images are created because they're embedded in links. Add the following to your style sheet:
a img {
border: none;
The problem with the table row at the bottom is this:
<td colspan="760px" height="40" valign"middle"="">
The colspan attribute takes the number of columns that you're spanning, not a number of pixels. Judging from the rest of the table, it should be colspan="7".

Why does my site work fine in IE7, Firefox & Safari but crash in IE 6?

If you click on the furniture tab in the menu the page crashes in IE6. But works fine every where else! I don't really want carry on building this site if it wont work in IE6.
Does anybody have any ideas?

It might be because of boarders, I.E. 6 is known to crash iWeb sites that have a border with a width of one point or less: see here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304349
To fix this just enlarge the boarder, or to be on the safe side just dump any borders.

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?

I use an app that has tabs. (I do not mean tabbed browsing) Yesterday FF worked fine, today, it will not respond when I click the app tabs. IE still works fine on the tabs in the app.

FF does not respond to the click when I click certain areas in an app that I use such as a tab, or OK button, but will work on other buttons that I click.

2 things:
1. Assuming your script is original - it is not asking for a TXT file till it is found in expected location. You can choose between 2 solutions:
to remove FindChangeList.txt from FindChangeSupport folder ==> script will ask for another file
to override this file by your query ==> script will not ask but execute your query
2. You can see greyed TXT files in Script Panel since this panel shows executable files (script's formats)

I can look at one email in hotmail. But when I try to open/read another, nothing happens. If I close and open firefox I can again read only one e-mail.

I have just recently been given an ipod shuffle, I've uploaded all of my music, played it and it works absolutely fine.
